Could you consider adding "Free Character" tests to custom matches instead of event trials only?

There are already so many killers that I find interesting, but I don't know how well I can play with them and their power. That's why I don't buy them, because if it doesn't work then it would be a waste of money.
Custom matches are there to learn about killers and their power in a "calm" environment, without the stress of having to play against real players with a character that you don't know how to play.


I don't think it's a good idea that you can only try out characters in event trials against real people, knowing that many people in the DBD community love it to make others feel miserable. I would never test a new killer against real players, my killer anxiety is too big for that, so unfortunately I have to continue to not buy characters that I'm not sure whether they're right for my playstyle or not.

Perhaps you could consider making the character test available for custom matches in the future ?

Maybe with certain conditions, so that you have a limited time ( 5 custom matches) per character to test them.

    Otz said that we should not expect too much about the upcomming free character feature because it might be the case that the developers introduce this to have more freedome in terms of modifier and events easier like the developers want a RE 2v8 modifier for two weeks and you can only use Wesker and Nemesis. Now, with the upcoming feature, everyone can be part of the modifier and there is no issue with "I don't own these characters".

    Otherwise, I agree with you. Not every player has the money or the time to buy every character either with real money or with shards and it would be cool to test a character for one or two matches in custom game to see if you like them or not.

    I really do hope they make it so you can access them in Custom Games.

    On top of that, I also hope they give us the ability to play various Gamemodes in Custom Games since Id love to do some Lights Out or Chaos Shuffle with friends.

    So true, we need all modifiers/game modes in custom matches and ability to join other players custom matches few times per day
