Spectrum ISP & DBD

Can everyone who has spectrum ISP and who also can’t play DBD right now comment or upvote this thread. I’m on PS5. It’s been over a week since I’ve had access to this game. We need some answers. We need a fix asap. I’ve personally done the following already with no luck

  1. Reset modem/router
  2. Restored license
  3. Deleted and reinstalled the game

Short of getting a new ISP wth else can we do? I want to spotlight this so hopefully we get some acknowledgment from the devs.

If anyone has a solution please let us know.

I have spectrum and do not have an issue. I would be extremely surprised if changing ur ISP would fix your problem.

I'm also on PS5 with spectrum and have no issue. Are you really sure they're the problem? From my interactions with them, they don't really seem to care about anything like this.

I’m fairly sure. If you guys go into the bug reporting multiple people have said this is an issue. All of us with Spectrum. Oddly enough we all seem to be in Texas(although a few were not from TX). If our PS5s are fine, our internet works for everything else, our modems and routers are on and functioning, as well as our PSN accounts, what else could it be? It’s either the game or the ISP. Considering it gives us connection errors despite being connected to the internet. Some people in the bug forum have speculated it’s something with the DNS or a possible mis match with the way Spectrum connects us to the router etc. I’m not an ISP/tech expert clearly. But something is preventing plenty of us from playing the game. Rather frustrating tbh. DBD is the only game some of us are having a problem playing. Mind you I’ve been playing DBD for years with spectrum to be fair. But as of this new year something is wrong.

If I connect with my hotspot on my phone the game functions fine. I have AT&T mobile service. I just want to play normally. My cell connection is not built for this lol.

Spectrum doesn’t seem to care about much of anything other than collecting our money.

Huh, how odd. It seems like it's only effecting a small amount of people so it might be something to do with their servers around Texas maybe?

Either way, they've acknowledged the bug report so the only thing to really do is wait.

The only other thing I could maybe suggest is try changing your PS5's IP, making it static and port forward to see if that helps though I doubt it will. Going off the thread it seems like people can still play on the PC version even if the PS5 didn't work so the internet itself doesn't seem to be the issue.

I had to do that with BO3 back in the day otherwise I couldn't connect at all.

I will give the static thing a try. Thanks for the input. It’s very weird. I hope it gets fixed. We just want to play lol.

It's unfortunately not just a Texas or a spectrum thing, I'm from SA and my provider have a different name, since it's mostly happening on playstation users I imagine that it has something to do between BHVR and them

I’m also in Texas and have Spectrum and have been locked out of DBD on PS5 for about 5 or 6 days now. This is crazy! I’ve also done all of the suggested fixes from tech support…cleared the cache, rebuilt the database, rebooted everything, uninstalled and reinstalled, reset the DNS settings, tested the connection…nothing seems to work.

All my other games are loading fine (Fortnite, Frank Stone, etc) and all my devices/apps work fine on my network.

I finally tried to connect to my mobile hotspot and the game loaded and I was able to play successfully. Which means it has something to do with my router/modem/network. Has anyone found a solution?
