Conclusion: The “October Curse” affected Dead by Daylight until the Halloween Event and Free to Play Weekend in 2022. Future Halloween Events increased traffic to the game and raised the player count. Traffic is naturally expected to cool once the school year begins and drifts into the holiday season.

With the game out in like 8 platforms this only shows a portion of the global playerbase, doesn't it? Anyway this game has always had its trends and cycles when it comes to active players.
