What killer needs a rework after Freddy?

Skull Merchant is confirmed getting another rework and Trickster is getting changed too I think. I heard from a lot of people asking for a nemesis rework. Who do you think should be next for a rework?

Using BHVR's definition for "rework" I honestly don't think there are any killers left who need one.

The killer I think would benefit from a substantial update the most would be Myers, though. He got changes recently and they did help, but there's a lot more that could be done for the best version of Myers imo.

Him or Trapper. Same reasoning applies.

I'd vote Plague. She works ok as is but her kit and mechanics have clearly aged a lot since her release. And completely invalidating healing perks and often some others is boring as hell.

Knight and Twins could also use some work since almost everyone hates facing them, but I have no idea how they could be made more fun while keeping their current mechanics and gameplay identities similar.

Nemesis is fine imo, his kit doesn't quite match the fantasy of the character but he's still a well-made killer.

Yup, he is garbage right now. They need to give him some love. I don't think he needs rework, some number changes will make him so much better.

Freddy's changes moving him out of F-tier (where he will end up we don't know yet)

Merchant is getting a rework (though when that actually will happen is anyone's guess because BHVR can't be trusted)

We know Trapper isn't going to change

Myers is the only the one left in that tier that needs more work done. I don't really know what they could do with him though.

Other than that, Legion and Plague could stand to be looked at because they both have similar styles that survivors hate (rationally or not). Onryo is also in a pretty terrible state and could use another rework.

Chucky I don't think needs a rework. He just needs some of his nerfs reverted and some other aspects brought in line.

I think so yeah. You can still get hits with slice and dice but the slower speed means you have to be much closer before you launch it. This is difficult when the mode is still 14 seconds, and he still has a weakness of low speed meaning survivors holding w and using exhaustion perks is terribly effective. And even when you get hits you suffer from a really long cooldown of 14 seconds, and even worse if you miss you also have the same really long cooldown. His best add-ons are only minor boosts in power, although the amulet has become a lot more valuable.

Nightlight stats also support this as he has around 50% kill rate on there right now which is the lowest and his pick rate has also dropped by 50%.

He is just completely outclassed, even killers that aren't primarily chase have better chase powers than Chucky.

I find it really sad and it took me a few weeks after the changes before i gave up and agreed with the rest of the community. But yeah, he's basically lost everything.

Skull Merchant, Myers, Trickster, Sadako, Twins.

There are also a few killers that are just not console friendly. Its 2025. This needs to change. AKA Blight, Oni and I am sure I am forgetting a few others.

Plague and Pinhead needs attention however they are already scheduled for adjustments. Unknown feels weird.

Sidenote - Houndmaster still has several issues with her dog that needs to be fixed, not moving, getting stuck, not running after a person for a grab and the search radius is still too small.

I wouldn't say he's terrible as a killer but just feels super clunky and unsatisfying to play. I wanted them to move his kit away from being just Slice and Dice the character, but they kinda just hit it with slam hammer and then handed him a cooldown nerf that isn't massive but can definitely be felt.

They should revert the Slice and Dice nerf and give him back Scamper Vault for Windows (I will die on this hill). I think he'd be a satisfying Stealth/Dash killer with a long enough cooldown for survivors not to find him annoying after that.

Ghostface needs some bugfixes and a repair to Reveal. Plague and Legion badly need reworks. Pinhead has some issues to address. Skull Merchant needs another full rework. I don't think anyone else needs much.

I'm a big fan of Elm Street, so I'm glad Freddy's getting his most goated rework, after Skull Merchant I can't think of anyone who needs one. I'd like to see one for Blight, but I'm not sure he NEEDS one if that makes sense.

no one left need a rework outside skull merchant.

A few more killers could use some buffs like trapper and ghost face. Behavior have pretty much touch up most of the killers roster at this point.

As a few others said, if we're talking "rework", no one but Skull Merchant. Maybe Chucky, but really I don't know why they made the last set of changes instead of some minor number tweaks.

I agree, no major reworks needed in the near future after Skurchent, IMHO.

But as you said, several Killers really need some buffs or bugfixes, a rework to certain mechanics, and maybe an addon pass. Pyramid Head could use an addon pass, I think maybe Ghostface could have some addons looked at and also fixed Reveal and Lean. Plague, Legion, and Pinhead all need touchups as I stated above.

I think almost everyone else just needs minor stuff to make them feel better to play.

In terms of Freddy-tier reworks, only SM. Stationary drones will always be a failed concept.

Maybe Chucky as well, he doesn't really have an identity outside of being a third-person minuscule gremlin, just an Oni that doesn't instadown.

Outside of that, none really. I hope they never get rid of Myers' identity.

Sadako needs a revert to before her reworks (first version) while keeping the buffs and Quality of live changes. Then she would be perfect. I don’t want another completely new version of her, when they change her.

Trickster would also benefit from getting changed back to before his rework while getting some buffs. His new version is pretty lackluster.

Full on rework? Myers. Aside from his really antiquated design choices that neither side enjoys… Ghostface is basically exactly how Myers should function now, complete with QOL, leaning, etc. so that means they'd have to completely overhaul him from just "stalking" to "stalking and doing something else". And that's difficult to implement because, let's face it, Myers was boring as hell and basically only stalked in all his movies; Jason would sometimes mix it up with bear traps, throwing weapons, and stuff, but Myers just followed and stabbed through all his continuities.

Apparently freddy was just an "update", more than tweaks less than rework. His first change was a rework back then. Skull merchant they said "Rework" so for all we know they might finally get rid of drones or not be stationary objects anymore. As for who id like to see reworked, oddly enough itd be xenomorph. Sure hes strong ifu habe good aim and sucks against harcore swfs lile nearly every killer on the board. But something about the tail and turrets gameplay loops seems very annoying, not doctor annoying but noone ever looks forword to playing against a xeno, but they wont dc to him either for some reason. I was hoping xeno wouldve came out as a stealth killer as thats primarily what the xenos are known for.

Other than Skull Merchant, there isn't any other killer who needs a rework of the level that Freddy got.

I think Trapper and Myers could use some bigger updates at some point, but not full "reworks"

    Full rework?

    • Nurse

    Update?

    • Myers
    • Twins
    • Trapper

Nurse's power is just harmful to the game itself.

The other 3 need some serious looking into. Not just small changes, but something big like Freddy this time.

All other killers either need tweaks, addon passes or number changes.

Knight, Skull Merchant and Chucky. If you can't have them in the game without their powers feeling terrible to play with, better give them entirely new powers.

Chucky could be “fixed” by reverting all to his release version, but it would be like accepting that they made a mistake.

Skull Merchant with drones will never work because survivors hate areal denial, even if it does nothing (as currently).

And Knight's power is so limited to not be opressive that it's not even worth playing. He's not going to be reverted, for the same reason as Chucky, so he might as well have a new power.

With knight, if they save a bugged AI, then it would be a good idea to give the opportunity to temporarily gain the powers of their guards, like holding ctrl you gain the power of the guard for 20 seconds and the guard goes on cooldown:
cornifex: gives durability and brutal strenght
assassin: 3% speed boost and attacks inflict a deep wound
jailer's power emits 1 wave in a 20 meter radius and causes survivors to scream

pinhead. the chains are made out of paper and they don't work.

Deathslinger needs buffs especially if he is going to be 2vs8.

many killers could use number tweaks or base-kit add-on's. for example, legion could use mischeif list, mural sketch and friendship bracelet base-kit. Artist could use Thick jar+Festering Carrison base-kit. Oni could use Wooden Oni mask and Tear-soaked Tenugui base-kit. Killers getting base-kit add-on would make those killer more fun to play. killer with lack of base-kit add-on's sometimes feel slog to play at base-kit.
