Should hatch offerings be removed?
Now I'm not going to complain saying oh their over powered and blah blah I find their just a major double edged sword. You bring it and if the killer thinks smart they will know where it will spawn. Example: Played a match as huntress and a Haddie brought a offering for hatch to spawn at shack. I saw basement was in shack so I know it will spawn on the outside also following the layout of basement(yes I'm that much of a nerd) it'll face away from the window on the other side as basement by the looks of it is slightly moved to left as the stairs leading down to it go left. Once hatch spawns I close it and boom now just find the right route to see both gates.
Now if you bring a key or get lucky at finding a purple or pink key your in the clear. But here's the kicker if you bring the key and the killer sees you have it they'll target you so you don't have it. Finding a purple or pink key without perks is also hard to do. So you if bring it as killer your in a semi good spot of being able to get hatch easily but for survivor you have to hope the killer doesn't end up on hatch when it spawns in because most times killers will hook the last survivor close to the area hatch will spawn in. Now you might be lucky with something like Eerie where the main building is large enough for hatch to spawn in a different location so the killer won't be able to predict it. But still you bring a hatch offering as a survivor and well your looking at a low chance of getting it. Overall the idea was interesting since keys were being re-worked but now it seems kinda at the same level as the luck offerings not really useful.

I've been thinking this myself. Hatch offerings really only help the Killer and screw the Survivor over more often than not, regardless of who brings it. You can hope that the Killer would forget about the offering, but the info is readily accessible in the pause/menu screen at any point in the match. Whenever I see a hatch offering, I always hope for an indoor map. Even then, I'm not sure if the hatch offering controls the hatch placement for indoor maps.

There's a third scenario. I stole a sacrificed Bill's key then watched for the killer when hatch got closed. Then I ran to where the killer came from...

Hatch Offerings are fine. Their rarity means they don't replace anything important and they can be used effectively by both sides if they wanted.
