Rework Ideas for The Blight
I heard rumors that The Blight is scheduled for another adjustment (probably a nerf).
As a Blight main, I'm terrified again...
I think he's in a good position now, regardless of where he was in the past, but if he is adjusted again, I'd like to share some of the meaningless ideas I've been thinking about day and night, such as what kind of nerf would be appropriate, how to alleviate map dependency, how to make add-ons more interesting, etc.
So here we go!
Change the Base Kit
- Set base movement speed to 4.4m/s (currently 4.6).
- Set base rush speed to 8.8m/s (currently 9.2).
- Set fatigue time after missing a rush attack to 3.0 seconds (currently 2.5).
- The token recharge speed varies depending on the current number of tokens. When the number of tokens is 0, it is 1.4 seconds, and increases by 0.3 seconds for each additional token (currently flat 2.0).
- Survivors will now hear the sound that occurs when all tokens are restored.
New Action: Rush Cancellation
- Pressing the ability button (right-click) again during any rush will instantly consume the entire duration of the rush.
New Ability: Sliding Rush
- If you hold the action button (ctrl) while starting any rush, a Sliding Rush will start instead.
- During the Sliding Rush, you cannot attack, and just like the First Rush, you run in a form that does not raise your weapon.
- Sliding Rush does not detect collisions with objects.
- Can glide against any object, just like The Oni.
- Can be started even while facing the object.
- Sliding Rush can only detect collisions until Rush Cancellation is triggered and stopped.
New Ability: Chain Rush Bonus
- Chain Rush Bonus is added when you perform First Rush or Lethal Rush, stacking up to a maximum of 4. Sliding Rush do not count.
- Lethal Rush gains 8% speed boost per bonus.
- The bonus is reset when the Rush chain ends.
Add-on Rework
- Compound Seven
- Survivors hit by a rush attack will receive The Blindness for 20 seconds.
- Chiped Monocle
- The ring will only be displayed if Rush can reach that location.
- Placebo Tablet
- It takes 25% longer to destroy a pallet in Rush, but it instantly recovers 1 token.
- Shredded Note
- Increases token recharge speed by 15% but reduces maximum token count by 1.
- Blighted Rat
- Sliding Rush duration is increased by 8% per Chain Rush Bonus.
- Blighted Crow
- Lethal Rush duration is increased by 8% per Chain Rush Bonus.
- Adrenalin Vial
- Added 2 maximum tokens.
- Reduce turn rate by 30%.
- Increased max look angle by 10°.
- Alchemist's Ring
- When a Rush attack hits, you gain 10% The Hindered for 7 seconds, but your tokens are set to 3.
- Token recharge speed is reduced by 10%.
- Soul Chemical
- Increase maximum look angle during a Rush by 20°.
- Summoning Stone
- If all tokens are used up and the survivor is hit by a rush attack, they become Deeply Wounded and Mangled for 80 seconds.
- Compound Thirty-Three
- When you have 3 or less tokens and are in Sliding Rush, holding the attack button for 1 second will consume all tokens and transition to Lethal Rush.
- Sliding Rush duration reduced by 33%.
- When token count is 0, fatigue time when a rush attack misses is increased by 33%.
- Iridescent Blight Tag
- Change the formula for Chain Rush Bonus speed increase effect to (Bonus^2 * 3)%.
- Fatigue time when a rush attack misses is increased by 20%.
That's all the ideas.
Increase the effectiveness of counterplay, reduces uncounterable instant knockdowns, close the strength gap between indoor and outdoor maps, encourage rush attacks over normal attacks.
Most of the adjustments were made with the above intentions in mind.
Personally, I think all these adjustments will either slightly reduce or barely change the strength of Blight, but I think it will improve the quality of life and make it more fun to fight against.

His addons are not really that broken.
He is still strong killer, but he definetly has a counterplay after hugtech removal. Just git gud.0 -
i think he just needs a slight hitbox adjustment. he still has a truckbox instead of a hitbox.
