Wake Up! Revised

Based on some truly excellent and insightful points raised in this thread:

I don't disagree with the attempt to make Wake Up stand out for Sole Survivor as a more altruistic perk... it fits the character and it makes sense from game design to not just stack the 2 on top of each other.

However I do think the current version missed the mark and makes a perk already struggling for usefulness even worse... it is a end game perk that doesn't really help when you need it... you're already winning when you get it's value.

This is my attempt to revise Wake Up!: -

  • The auras of the Exit Gate Switches are revealed to you permanently while within 128 metres. (Gates powered condition removed)
  • Your Aura is revealed to all other Survivors within 128 metres while you are opening an Exit Gate.
  • Whenever you complete any of the following actions, Wake Up! is granted +1 token to a maximum of 5 tokens:
    • Performing a Safe Unhook.
    • Taking a Protection Hit.
    • Completing a Healing Action.
  • For each token:
    • Increases your Gate-Opening speed by 6/8/10 %.

This gives Wake Up! a useful affect throughout the trial of allowing the survivor to keep tabs on where the gates are, which can help inform which gens you may want to target/leave for end game.

It encourages altruistic play to help your fellow survivors in order to gain the benefits of Wake Up!
