Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

IDK about you lot but I'm enjoying the new Beast of Prey

It didn't trigger all much, then secured me a kill in the endgame.

Its not a new effect, they just made it only work once (not sure if it's once per chase or game) and for a limited time. It's a MAJOR nerf.

The previous version of Beast of Prey gave you undetectable while you had Bloodlust, which you lost immediately upon losing Bloodlust, aka getting a hit, using your power, breaking a pallet, or losing chase. It also gave 50% more Hunter points at all times.

The new version of Beast of Prey gives you 40 seconds of Undetectable when you reach Bloodlust 1, and the perk goes on a 40 second cooldown at the same time as you have your Undetectable, and is ready to be activated again the moment your Undetectable has run out. It can be used as many times as you'd like, not just once. I would also guess that even if you run out of Undetectable while in a chase, you'll immediately get it back if you're still Bloodlusted anyway, since the perk is now off cooldown again and you have Bloodlust. It is in no way a nerf other than the BP, from a gameplay perspective it's a pure buff.

The problem is that the perk is still tied to reaching Bloodlust, which a lot of killers don't naturally do in chase, plus you have to commit quite a lot of time just to get Undetectable, which may not even help you. Still this new version seems like a pretty fun perk if your killer tends to get Bloodlust naturally in chase, since you now can break off chase and go flank with the Undetectable.

Man, good for you! Though, I still think this perk is bad (very bad even), because it requires the bloodlust.

Unless you were in Bloodlust 3 for over 20 seconds at a time then it's just a net buff.

I honestly think they should remove the bloodlust requirement and make it chase time based for 15 seconds

Would make this perk actually useful

i like the perk. it is on demand undetectable. I was running it on Oni. It lasts for almost entire demon fury. So good. The only issue is that cooldown is a bit too severe.

Suggestion: decrease cooldown from 120 second → 80 seconds.

I think it could be decent perk for Legion, or Oni (those are kinda only two killers where it's expected to hit bloodlust), but I don't think it is worth it on most killers.

Even for Oni, you can simply use Unforeseen, which is easier to trigger. Unforeseen also has high synergy with Nowhere to hide….

Suggestion: decrease cooldown from 120 second → 80 seconds.

There is not really any cooldown. You can activate it with getting bloodlust 1 while it is already active.

120 seconds was simply mistake in patch notes

It's kinda only undetectable perk that could work on Legion. Did not have time to test it yet, but could be good.

No, it's way better than before.

40 seconds is often enough for two hits, but you also have option to drop a chase, which you did not have before.

It's not even one per chase, but it should never happen. After undetectable ends and you get bloodlust 1, it is going to activate again.

EDIT: it's even better. Basically whenever you get bloodlust 1, it activates, even when it is already active.

your right. i only played with the perk for 2 games when i wrote that post. undetectable does not work with feral frenzy. it disables killer instinct. you need to run susies tape. a better perk for undetectable legion is dark devotion.

unforeseen requires you to kick gens which is a waste of time. beast of prey gives you undetectable without doing anything. you are very likely to gain blood lust automatically.

it works really well on Oni because you can hit someone. follow them, get your power through 2 blood add-on's. bloodlust to get the down than activate ability which allow you to roam around the map with high speed, instant down and be undetectable. that is really good. I am having more fun with beast of prey then freddy.

Ahhh, I see what you mean, and yea it's only an advantage then for killers who are bad in chase.

Nah, it's an advantage for any character that naturally gets bloodlust during chase, straight up buff really. Even good players get bloodlust when they're playing M1 against strong survivors in tiles with decent windows for example, although good players also tend to predrop strong pallets a lot so then you don't get bloodlust as often but whatever.

The real limitation with the perk is that any killer that actively uses their M2 in chase and thus can't really get bloodlust without screwing themselves over in chase can't use the perk. But I think we'll see some people and content creators using it in creative ways and it'll get some niche popularity. Like the person that mentioned it on Oni in this thread. Could work on other killers that sometimes will M1 in chase and can get Bloodlust, but also benefit from undetectable, like Myers, maybe Bubba.

The killers I play the most can't get bloodlust easily, but could benefit a lot from the stealth, so I'm a little disappointed that this perk is still tied to bloodlust. I'd have loved to try it out in some undetectable build but it's just not feasible for my characters.

Finding it nice on Chucky to hide my red light and get a hit before or after my S&D.

It won me a game the other night. Was doing a very old tome challenge on Grim Pantry where you have to use all the Huntress perks and one other and either get 4 kills or no exit gates opened, can't remember which one.

Was using Bubba and was chasing someone around on the top of main building. They were a tricky to catch survivor and I managed a hit at the pallet as bloodlust kicked in. They dropped down so they underneath the main building in all the netting and stuff down there. Briefly saw which way they went so I gambled and went around to the small bit with the lockers in and managed to drop down right on top of them, probably giving them a massive jump scare.

They instantly DC'd!!!!! It won me the game and challenge got completed be a use of it. Feels good when a perk that is rarely used and nobody expects gives you a pay off like this.
