Crossplay between ps4 and xbox is possible with the dedicated servers? I think maybe more player find match more more easy.

    Of course it’s possible.

Will Sony allow it? Probably not.

Our best hope for console crossplay is between Xbox and Switch, although Behavior already shut down that idea for the moment at least.

Chances of this happening are very slim, Playstation and Xbox hate eachother a lot. crossplay between the two are rare, if any at all.

Crossplay between sony and microsoft are the least likely. However I can see PC/sony or microsoft/switch crossplay

All would benefit. But I really do not think it's possible, because neither the bugs are fixed how to implement the crossplay?

Sony is very strict on where they allow crossplay and picks-and-chooses what Game Studio to do it with. Epic Games' Fortnite is one of the exceptions, not the norm.

Hi-Rez, for example, does crossplay between PC, Xbox, and Switch for Paladins. They do it between PC and Xbox for Realm Royale, and will be adding the Switch to that cluster when that version launches this Fall or so. But Hi-Rez already said Sony denied allowing the PS4 to crossplay for Paladins and Realm Royale.

So, it really comes down to where Sony will greenlight it for PS4.

Rocket leauge has crossplay too for example.

And if sony really doesnt want to, they can still exclude the PS plebs and have crossplay for Xbox-PC-switch

I have some friends on the forums that I can’t play with, I would love cross play.

Cross play is fine as long as its console to console. PC players would have a huge advantage over console, as would console over switch. DBD actually resembles a game on pc

What would be this insane advantage? Consoles are soon going to have 60 fps, so performance isnt a reason anymore.

I could only think about controller aim, but then this is a killer specific thing and PC survivors play with controller on PC aswell because it doesnt matter at all.

So how would console players be disadvantaged? Usually console players never get tired of making clear that they are just as competitive as PC players

It wouldn't even be controller aim. I have a friend who only plays on PC via a controller, and he hit Rank 3 in DbD months ago as killer before he stopped playing entirely.

In games like Overwatch and the like, controller is definitely a disadvantage. Not nearly as much in a slower game like DbD. Hell, not even for survivor. There is a Twitch streamer for PC who is consistently Red Ranks as a survivor main, and he only plays via controller.
