Audio Tracking From Survivors
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Audio Coming from Survivors is sometimes in-audible such as Footsteps and Breath recovery sounds after running. Many times, Audio from far away survivors would be louder when phasing and out of phase as Spirit when they're miles ahead.
PLATFORM: PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
I have a record of a few content creators who have spoken on this including myself. I have attached a game from TrU3Talent where Meg was making louder sounds even, they were further away, and later in the same game. Yun Jin was even closer to the killer (RIGHT INFRONT OF THEM) after vaulting a pallet audio cut out to make 0 noise. And the experience from other content creators reports similar that audio such as grunts of pain, footsteps or breath recovery are silent for unknown reasons.

Further Sources: In audible breathing/ footsteps cutting out. Specifically, after running to hide under a pallet but no breath noise was made after phase was activated.

When survs double back into you the audio spikes and makes it sound like they’re running in front of you then it’s just quiet

Maps with hard surfaces when survs run the sound is omnidirectional and audio still spikes when they run through you but you can’t tell which way they’re going.

The sound tracking bugs for spirit are awful on top of the husk bug. The biggest offenders for me personally are maps with wet footsteps like mothers dwelling, swamp maps, and toba landing. Maps with hard footsteps like the game and rpd have omnidirectional footsteps in phase. Ironically or maybe not, the best maps for tracking for me are cold wind maps. The tracking is consistent and sounds feel like they are where they’re supposed to be.

alucards boot audio cuts out several times even though he’s right in front of me.

here
I can clearly tell where fengs footsteps are, when she doubled back, and where she runs after. It is not this clear on wet footstep maps.

here I can also clearly track fengs breath sounds even in phase. They do not disappear. I do not have the crazy audio problems on the cold wind maps that I do on others.

here Nancy sounds like she’s right in front of me when she’s about 5-6 person lengths away from me

Not meaning to overtake the thread. I just wanna provide as much evidence as possible. These bugs have been in the game for months. It makes spirit incredibly frustrating to play when the basekit game sounds don’t work properly but it’s only on certain maps, certain cosmetics, then the husk bug still not being fixed properly. I wanna buy all the latest cosmetics for her but I refuse to do so until all of this stuff is fixed I don’t understand why it takes so long and we get no explanation of why or what’s going on.

Just like to point out that this is still an issue. Behavior refuses to acknowledge that audio is plagued with issues. Everyone knows. Everyone experienced it. Countless people have taken the time to gather countless pieces of evidence over the years. But Behavior is silent about it and lets YEARS go by without doing anything.
It's like they're trying to gaslight us into thinking there are no issues. Don't let Behavior gaslight you. THERE ARE AUDIO ISSUES and I'll keep coming back here to not let people forget.
