Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Is Hag “too boring” to be in 2v8?

Relatively speaking, the Hag has a simple power. The presence of chests in the map does not affect her the same way that Freddy/Sadako/Xenomorph do. Yet, she has not yet been considered for 2v8 mode.

hag and twins kit rely completely on a tactic. neither should be added to the 2v8. It a game mode where camping is nearly impossible and infinite unbreakables.

No but BHVR probably wants to focus on killers that are more popular when it comes to pickrates.

I would rather say she is difficult to implement into the gamemode: She is a setup killer that needs time to setup her traps and then harass survivors with them. However, in this gamemode you don't have the time due to the lack of gen defense and the fact that this gamemode is rather fast and quick than slow. You wouldn't be able to setup enough traps since eight survivors can permanently trigger your traps or two of them could harass you while setting them up. Lastly, Hag is a really difficult killer because you don't play her like a chase killer- you are a setup killer who also defends an area. Sure the developers could make her a 4.6 killer but her traps would still suck and clumsy to use in this gamemode.

boring? No. Her kit however would be absolutely bananas with that many survivor feet setting off her traps probably causing feedback overload. Just a thought. Certainly not boring. That’s a lot of notifications though.

wait wait I think we should let it happen. I’m imagining all the scenarios right now, and I think it could work if they don’t succumb to notification overload, and can focus through it. Also all the survivor whoopsies that well turn things in her favor. It could be interesting to see, painful to suffer through but ultimately hilarious to watch unfold.

I think in 2v8 she should throw traps like how the event snowballs work and there should he a slight delay but longer lunge when teleporting so its less pure jumpscare into hit

Not being considered is different than simply not yet being implemented. The original batch of killers were added because they were free. A mode as hugely requested as 2v8 should be able to be enjoyed by 100% of the playerbase. The next batch featured killers who needed minimal changes to the base power in order to function. And again the same deal with the upcoming third.

Killers utilizing props need special care to function, so we are yet to see how balanced the upcoming iteration truly is. Killers requiring unique gameplay outside of chase powers are going to take much more effort to convert. Hags current kit is nullified by a single survivor stalking her and setting up traps, so to work against 8 she would need a way to set traps faster, at range, and possibly have something like Mint Rag or Rusty Shackles basekit.

On top of her power not translating well to a new mode, she is also currently one of the lowest played killers despite being one of the cheapest, oldest, and often free characters. She will no doubt be implemented at some point, but the resources to modify her are better spent for more popular characters with more modifiable powers in the meantime.

I like playing trapper in two vs eight, so I feel that it could be cool.
