Could a Dev please comment on matchmaking incentives.
They have been bugged (or intentionally reduced) for months. While the bloodhunt is nice, in reality it is just giving us the same amount it would if the incentives were working.
I would just like clarity on what's going on.
Is it bugged? Is it intentional? Is it temporary for some sort of testing experiment?
Hopefully a Dev will pop in and let us know officially what's going on.

it seems that the incentives are only ever 100% or more when a update just went live, after which it will go back to 50 or 25%. This morning when the 8.5.1 bugfix went live the survivor bonus was at 150% but quickly went back to 25% once more people downloaded the update.

They also seem to be "weird", sometimes a side has a 25% but takes 5 minutes to queue while the side with 0% is instant, I get the game is saying "this side needs more players" but sometimes its just "I want more people waiting in this sides queue"

Yes, it would be very helpful for the devs to comment on this. If they keep staying silent on it, all we can assume is that the incentives are broken and the programmers don’t know how to fix them.

Yes. The BP bonus feels so weird for such a long time. Most of the time it is either +25% for one side or nothing for both sides. In rare cases I have +50% but only for like 30 minutes and then nothing. The weird part is still that survivors have the BP bonus even though it take me five minutes to find a lobby while killer is always instant.
It is so frustating and annoying to not have the old times when we had +100% even though nothing has changed.

I hope this isn't the case. I can personally pin point the exact day the incentives broke for me. It started the day before the last version of Lights Out. I've heard a lot of other people say this is when the incentives changed for them as well. Surely the people who are programming this game can figure out what exactly changed around this time.

It just doesn't make sense to me that it could be intentional, because the entire point of the incentives was to get people to play the side that has the least players in queue, aka the quickest queue times right? Well I'm consistently getting incentives on the side that has the longest queue times and the most players, where for example my killer queues are less than 10 seconds, survivor queue is more than 2 minutes, but the incentive is 25% on survivor. Usually happens during the evening when killer queues are the fastest, and I'd be always getting 100% before.
100% survivor during the day when the survivor queue is also something I haven't seen in a long time. And even though my survivor queues are almost instant in the midday, there are no incentives.
It's been like this since the last Lights Out like someone mentioned too. You really notice on your BP gains that you never have 100% incentive, even when you're playing the most needed role.

Hey all, we're doing some investigating into this - as all is showing as working as intended on our end. What will help us in investigating this is if you can advise what time and region you felt that you should have have received a matchmaking incentive plus your Cloud ID's. The time and region is important as it means we can check that match, check how many people were in the queue at that time etc.
So if you could Private Message the following information to @JocelynAwakens that would be fantastic.
1. Cloud ID2. Time match started
3. What MM Incentive was available to you at that time
4. Were you playing Survivor or Killer
5. What location are you based at - I don't need the actual city here, but if you're in a large region with more than one Server, please state what area, so if you're in the USA, what State you're in for example.
With this information we can investigate the individual matches and see if the MM Incentive was correct at the time.

Thank you very much that you, the team, will investigate this and check what is going on.
But since you said that everything works fine on your side, if there is nothing wrong with the system, isn't possible to give both sides +50% BP default for both sides and more when one side has not many players?
You already reduced the BP costs on both sides and it seems like every month we either get a Blood Hunt or Blood Fest Week which is really nice. However, leveling up still takes so much time (and every three month we get at least two new character), especially once you run out of BPS or cakes. Many players loved the +75%/+100% BP on one side for the reason that it made the leveling faster. In addition, you also removed the BP bonus on perks like BBQ for the reason that we now have the BP bonus - which is not very low or not happening.
Maybe you could discuss this with the team to see if +50% default could be given to both sides if the BP MM Incentives works as intended

Can we think of adding base 50% incentive on both sides + 100% on the side that needs players the most?
Grind would be easier in a meta of map offerings and sacrificial ward1 -
I can send my info later, but I'd also like to chime in and say the bonuses changed on NA East on the day the first Lights Out event released. They never reverted. Was there a change pushed that day that would correlate to what people are describing? For as long as the bonus existed, the bonus was 100% killer from ~8 pm-12 AM on NA East. Then Lights Out dropped, and the bonus very rarely if ever reaches 100% on either side. I can't imagine population shifted overnight.

Usually i enjoyed 150% for killer after midnight on South America (-4GMT) and in the window between 7pm and midnight the 100 or 150% bonus for survivor in the same fuse. So, now, since, i dont remember maybe since halloween event ( yes, a lot of time) i just have plus 25% do survivor or nothing and 50% plus for killer or nothing too, and, its so much more common to have nothing for both sides comparing to before. Unfortunetelly

For players on console, what should we submit for "cloud ID?" Is that an ID located in-game, or is it a number associated with our BHVR account?
Also, should we make separate reports for every match played?

Did anyone play last night (Sunday, February 16) or into the early hours of the morning (Eastern Time)?
I had a few Killer matches with a 50% Incentive in 1v4 and indeed received that extra 50% for the killer matches I played.
My understanding (forgive me if I'm wrong) is that bhvr set the incentives manually to 400% Survivor while they conduct the 2v8 testing.
Just curious if seeing and receiving 50% on Killer last night could be an indication for those at BHVR looking into the issue that is the topic of the thread.
Also, once 2v8 ends please do send the information that @Mandy requested in this thread to @JocelynAwakens if you haven't already.
