Bots making queues even worse
Now survivors are just dodging lobbies with 2 empty slots, because they're gonna get filled by bots. So first we gotta wait 10-15 min to get a lobby and then more to find survivors willing to play with bots. :/
Anyone else encountering this?

Because like many Survivor players said…they do not want to play with bots. So now you get 2 bots per lobby but you need people willing to put up with bots.
I had a bot escape with 9K points without touching a gen. And I’ve already seen multiple clips of bots just walking around doing nothing. People warned this would happen even on here, it’s no surprise Survivors don’t want to play with them.

I sat there in a killer lobby for over 15 minutes whilst I washed the dishes. Didn't get in to a game. Gave up.
Every survivor game has had two bots and they really don't cope with Legion very well. Already seen two not mend. It's utter trash. As I fully expected.
Done the first three challenges and have absolutely no wish to play on. Bye bye DBD for two weeks.

And god forbid the game sends you to RPD with the bots. Have fun getting bodyblocked in those narrow corridors by a bot that refuses to move & Wesker right behind you, it's happened twice to me already.

I just had a bot Ace T-bagging behind me while I was doing a gen he could have helped me with, then he walked off to hide behind a hill. It truly is a 2v6…

There's a difference between feeling entitled to a win and not enjoying losing by design. To me, the game is at an inflection point in year 9. Players are increasingly frustrated with losing by design in the survivor role due to external factors like matchmaking. The game has to evolve.
What works for the first 500 hours doesn't necessarily work for the next 1000. There has to be some expectation that improvement leads to better results. That's not the case with solo survivor. You win exactly the same number of games at 5000 hours that you did at 200 hours. You have more players every year with a high number of hours who aren't seeing results despite their best efforts.

Patiently waiting for the "lol bots are better than 90% of teammates" crowd to fill up those survivor lobbies. I thought we were told feedback was overwhelmingly positive for bots being added and we were just the "vocal minority"?

I played four survivor games and every single one had two bots. The bots, not surprisingly, were useless.

I did all the challenges and went back to regular 1 v 4 mode, as I said going against 2.0 knights is never thrilling and one killer is always nemesis so its literally like 4 v 8 because the two killers with the 2 zombies disgusting. The fact blight and legion is also added lol yeah it explains why no one want to play. The killer who can easily injure everyone, the S tier killer that well we know what he does.

No kidding, I instantly re-queued and waited another 20 mins only to get into a lobby, start loading into the game and instantly get kicked because of an EAC error.
I've played 2 games of killer in the past 1 hour and 40 minutes

Because the game is a 1v4. Fundamentally BY DESIGN that means that the 4 have to work as a team.
But BHVR refuses to allow solo survivors to work as a team by locking so many things behind perks, no way to communicate and so on. Just look at how many survivor perks are "see what your teammate is doing" or "your teammates can see what you are doing" and you'll realize this.
Sometimes i wonder what would have been if the game was designed more in a way where it was like 1v10 and it was EXPECTED that the killer does not kill everyone, so then its more of a "survival game" rather than what we have now. Kinda like F13.

The bots only make things worse for survivors when that side is really needing improvements not nerfs. I played one game and the bots did at the beginning one gen when killers were other side of maps but after that they did nothing and it was 2vs6 with 7 gens to do.
Killer side has been fun to play but it's too easy that I start to feel just bad for other side . I just won match even I had family members distracting me and screaming and I could barely focus.

Yup, killer queues are a lot worse now than before. My first match I've waited 15 minutes for a lobby, now on my second, I got into a lobby after 20 minutes and then get disconnected from host error lol. Already done with DBD for the day. It's sad to admit, but this game is seriously falling off

I predicted that. You don't give killers all the new content and survivors a middle finger with bots and expect them to play miserable matches. It's another get the heads out of the sand situation.

Yeah, I don't really understand what they were thinking.. gamemode is already lacking survivors, so instead of catering to them and giving them more classes to choose from… they chose to give 3 new killers for the killer players and nothing for survivor?
Like it's so easy. Make a boon role or something to do with totems to give them some use11 -
I think you're overall right.
The game has got to move past pipping, tiers, rewarding wins over everything, telling Killers they ONLY win if they 3-4k and Survivors they ONLY win if they escape through a gate, and reward improvement rather than punishing it with harder and harder opponents then a handful of babies who don't know how to play in the broken matchmaking system. This doesn't work, BHVR. It's not the case with Solo Surv, and it's NOT the case with Solo Killer either.6 -

Not really a dev, so not my job to come ideas but:
Go back to the 400% bonus for survivor
Add more survivor classes each iteration along with killer (survivor has changed very little since first iteration)
I know it's a disliked idea, but priority pass to play killer, if you also play survivor.Remove bots, because going in with a huge disadventage is not gonna help
Small incentives by themselves are not gonna make people wanna play survivor, but having multiple running at the same time might help. The biggest novelty for 2v8 is to play killer with a friend, so it's tough, but especially for this iteration of 2v8, the devs didn't even try to give survivors incentive to play.12 -

Boons would have been interesting. BHVR only views this game from the eyes of a killer and it really shows. They could have given Jill a one time use gun or something to stun the killer. So much they could do but OMG "Survivors must be so weak and useless, we can't give them anything". People are not interested in just being steamrolled match after match. It's a shame devs don't understand and then throw in bots which is like pouring salt on a wound.

Just played my first match and it only had 1 bot... I don't think it was a 7 man SWF since they joined in separate.

This is what we are told every time there is overwhelming negative outcry about a bad change but BHVR goes ahead and decides to make the change anyway. Apparently there are all these other mysterious sources of input that are in favor of these terrible changes.

I'm surprised no one immediately replied with. Well, okay where are the sources of this "majority" who thought Wake-Up needed changing? Can we get this info in an easy-to-read chart, maybe with a big beautiful pie graph?

I have a feeling BHVR is adding two bots in each map. I have yet to see more or less than two bots per match.

I've only played 1 game so far today, but there was only 1 bot. Funny enough, the Dwight bot actually was one of the survivors with the most BPs, lol.

They really dropped the ball with the survivor role yet again with 2v8. There needs to be a higher BP incentive or something, because nobody wants to willingly queue up with 2 bots just to get awful BP's after you inevitably die.

(+2 survivor bots in lobby) - (4 players leaving because they don’t want to play with a bot) = a queue time disaster that many on this forum correctly predicted was going to happen

Bots are sometimes better than regular players. Lot of folks give up or troll if they make a mistake….

Same here. My one and only Killer game also had 2 bots.
In custom and regular trials, they are a nightmare for me as a Killer and I don't mind them as teammates.
However, I've had 4 outrageous trials with them today.
As Killer, they literally ran right up to me.
When playing Survivor, I had one slowly walk up to a caged teammate and not unhook them! It was as though BOT Vittorio was griefing!
BOT Leon missed every skill check on a generator and BOT Zarina fast vaulted a window for no reason after I healed her which got me caught by the Killer.
I've been playing for hours and haven't had a single match with all humans. Has anybody?

This is the mother of all gaslighting efforts when it comes to DBD. Bots are not better than most teammates in any capacity. The current version of bots are completely useless at everything. They're so bad that I don't know why they even exist in the game. They seem like target dummies for killers more than anything else.

As previously stated, I prefer bot team mates and going against bots. You won't see a bot suicide on hook or just walk up to the killer as to say "kill me so I can go next" or you won't see bots complain about literally everything, slugging, tunneling, camping or won't see bots waiting by the gate to t bag the killer. Fill the rest of the lobby with bots, I'm good with that.

But you don't understand... the feedback everywhere outside the forum was that bots were popular. So people can't be dodging them in lobby.

Maybe that can be an option going forward. Instead of forcing 2 bots into every game, they have an option for full bot games. Plenty of other folk like yourself might prefer that, especially when queue times become simply too much.

Maybe in the 2v8…I play solo que as all my friends quit this game years ago…in one out of two matches I get bots from people quitting. Or worse they stay and throw. Bots have a place or they wouldn't be in the game. Most players are either really good at this game or really bad…most are target dummies for killer. LOL!

so you’re a killer main who wants to play a pve game then? There are plenty of those games out there for you to go play anytime you want.

Custom mode 2v8 would be so much more enjoyable for everybody who doesn't mind not earning BP as we could have control over how many (if any) bots as well as their classes and instantly be able to play a match as killers

And this perfectly translates to Bots in 2v8. If 2 Bots join the Survivor-Team, I as an individual have to do 125% of what I would normally have to do, since I have to assume that 1/4 of the team are useless deadweights (which is what Bots are). But this would also mean that the other 5 actual players also would have to do those 125%. And if they dont, the game is lost.
So not only has one person to do more to ensure a win, but they also have to rely on everyone else doing more. And more often than not this means that the game is lost once you spawn in.

Then you would be fine with 2v8 becoming full PvE? Because this is the only way I see 2v8 working out. (Even though they would have to make Bots better to make it an actual challenge if they would make 2v8 a PvE-gamemode…)

I mostly play killer during 2v8 because its just funner than survivor, even with the horrendous queue times i'd rather them just remove bots.

At least it was a bot. Just had a game where I was fully infected. I was just about to reach a chest when this Jane came out of nowhere pushed in front and opened the chest. I thought "Oh, she wants to spray me" So I stood there. Nope she ran off with the spray and she wasn't infected at all. My first thought was "Is that a a bot?", but nope she was not.

Ye I think that would be fun, lots of games have PvP and co-op PvE, I don't see any reason why that couldn't work.

The problem of bots is they are programmed to hide whenever a killer even touches their radius and 2 v 8 its all the time so they are hiding the entire match and contributing nothing to the game.
