Guess Devs have no choice for 2v8
Welp since Survs are being childish and bots not working out guess Devs have no choice now but to merge 1v4 and 2v8 into a single mode playlist now they can then get rid of bot fills but will have to introduce a lobby dc penalty to stop dodgers.
Before people say "they can delete 2v8 instead or just make surv gameplay fun* No they won't cause they spent to much time and resources on it and they absolutely did make it more fun for Survs but apparently it's never enough from most survs sure they can add more classes and new items aka Void bombs but guess it's time to for new drastic measures

I agree fully. Survivor is still obviously the better role as its been since the 2nd version now. People not knowing how to play is completely on themselves, the bots actually do useful things and typically disregard their own safety over doing gens or helping teammates. Its all the communities fault as usual for complaining abt things that aren't a problem, then they give the devs bad opinions and ideas, then they make changes that actually good players disagree with.
Its not really their fault, they can't please everyone

We were told the other day that this forum is an isolated echo chamber and everyone else is totally fine with the bots. So why would they change things based on the small minority here?

The devs likely spent a lot of time working on the basekit unbreakable mechanic and the auto mori that happened with everyone being down. They trashed that and said they were still working on it, before eventually just releasing a basekit mori.
If the customers don't like something, the amount of work put into it doesn't matter. That's the sunk cost fallacy.

The AI for the bots needs some drastic improvementthen it really wouldn't be as much of a problem as it currently is. There's plenty of clips and the majority of players have experienced the behaviour of these bots acting in detriment to the team

They transformed auto mori into the basekit mori like you said that's not scrapped heck they scrapped basekit unbreakable and even the twins rework but 2v8 is simply to huge a project to simply be scrapped it will be changed but never gone permanently

2v8 is completely survivor sided gen speed is ridiculous and rebuilding pallets is too strong. I genuinely want devs to release stats to show last and this iteration how things are currently kills escapes etc

The issue is the bots are intentionally bad. They were bad on release and then they nerfed them to be even worse for no real reason. This is what Behavior wants them to be for whatever reason. In true Behavior fashion they went way too far and made them completely useless at everything. The devs themselves need to go into some matches and actually play with bot teammates so they can experience first hand how useless they currently are. They play like survivors with five hours. Why even have bots when they're so bad that the game is basically over once you get a bot teammate? A dev once said they were added because they want the remaining survivors to have a somewhat normal match if a teammate leaves early. They utterly failed if this was the goal.

They tried a massive game overhaul. By the end of it they gave a basekit item that probably took the absolute bare minimum of effort to code.
Ah hem. "Killers have it easy at the moment, and this is irrefutable. Factually, killers shouldn't be losing, even against seal team SWFs. Why are you having problems? Need more hours under thine belt?"Why won't killers just suck it up and stop whining about their long queue times! (actually typing this while waiting in a killer queue, making use of my queue time).
Though that is kind of a point. Why are survivor complaints about the game and not wanting to play somehow less valuable than the killers complaining about long it takes to get a match?

Granted, long queue times do need dealt with.I agree with that. It took 25 minutes for me to get into my match (me as a Huntress, other was a Legion, one hatch escape, 3 gens remaining).
But we have posts just telling survivors to suck it up. We don't seem to be having posts telling killers that their thoughts on the issue don't matter.

So Survivors are childish because they also want to have fun in a gamemode? And they are childish for not wanting Bots?
Saying that the queues should be merged is probably the worst idea overall. People who dont like 2v8 (and the number of those is not small, at least on Survivor) are playing 1v4 instead. If the queues are merged you either have insane amounts of Lobbydodging or people just not playing the game for 2 weeks. And neither of those are things that BHVR would want and that should be obvious. So I really dont understand how someone can think "Yeah, this is a good idea, I post this.".

Then you wont be taken seriously on the Forums by a large portion of the Forums since a lot of people really hate Us VS Them posting and/or clearly bias opinions that dont serve to benefit anyone but themselves.

What is YOUR solution to fix queue times? Easy to criticize, when every option is bad.
They are just TRYING bots, there's no reason to be so dramatic. The mode has been out for ONE DAY, so in worst case they'll disable bots after a few days and that's all, nobody was hurt, at least now we KNOW bots don't work, instead of having to speculate.
And yes despite what you think the forum IS likely the minority because BHVR conducted a poll about this, so it's fair to assume people voted yes, and there's no problem with that. It is fine to TRY stuff, especially after they conducted a survey.

Bots immediately scatter at the faintest sound of a terror radius and immediately take exit gates/hatches despite players still alive in need of unhooking. And if you're too far away from a bot forget about being rescued lol.

Bots also play like they have emotions and brains to be quite frank. They're not gonna traverse the whole map in egc to dave you, a player wouldn't even do that, its too much of a gamble. Also, bots from my experience, only flee when a killer is within 12 meters of them,

there is really no way to fix queue times when killer in 2v8 is completely unique experience due to switch from solo to duo role and people will really often wanna play killer for that reason.
I wouldn't really care about it if at least 1v4 queue times were okay, but since they are also astronomically long, i would love if 2v8 never came back
