Another problem the bots are causing in lobbies

Every single match I’ve played today in solo has 2 bots. Every match I’ve played both killers only go after the non-bot survivors. They tunnel them out quickly because the bots are clearly easy pickings so if they take out the real players first, it basically guarantees them a 7-8K

So the most useless players, the bots, always survive until the end because they’re ignored the whole match making it essentially a 2v6 as others have said. And they’re not ever on gens. They simply run around the map trying to stay away from the killers terror radius. I had one bot save me from a cage all day.

Again as i said in various posts of clearly inexperienced players complaining abt something thats their own fault or out of their control, the bots are not the problem, The players are. The lack of mmr in 2v8 means bad teammates. Killers also have really hard times tunneling out any survivor, since they essentially have to find them after caging. Getting found after being fully healed and sent at least 40 meters away fron both killers is simply embarrassing on your part. And correction, bots are always on gens. That is all they do, and its their intended purpose to counter dcing players while real players take on chase.

I have not seen a single attempt of tunneling once out of the 10 survivor games i played, 9 pf which i survived and majority being 6 outs or more. One match i played agaunst a wesker and legion. I had over 7 minutes of chase time between both killers, BECAUSE theres no mmr, WHICH MEANS anyone in your lobby can be any level of experience. This gamemode is survivor sided, it just keeps getting better and better for survivors, now being able to straight up REMOVE STAGES COMPLETELY FOR FREE!!! Theres no excuse why any combination of killers should be preventing a minamum of 4 outs a match, that is on you and or your teammates

Bloody hell. Came back here to report a match I just played. I was opening a chest in 2v8, and a bot Jeff ran up to me. The bot and I were fully healed, the killers were literally on the other side of Ormond (a Scout was giving away their auras), a gen was less than 8m away and in line of site of both of us.

What does the bot do? It runs up behind me and cycles between t-bagging and crouch walking into me for the entire time it took me to open the chest. What the actual hell?

Gonna add my personal experience here. Lack of MMR this event is showing for sure, but I would not rush to call the bots useless just yet. I was having games where the bots were not only useful, but also managed to escape with the rest of us as well. That being said, when bots are unhelpful, they are REALLY unhelpful.

The HUD says otherwise. Like i said, they are mainly coded to progress the game while you do the hard and fun stuff, getting chased. Theres no problem with the bots I've never seen any of them ignore gens before or run away when the killers further than 12 meters away

Bots gonna bot! HA! I had a match where they were blocking the cage and I couldn't unhook. I was SCREAMING at my screen and my dog started howling. LOL! 2v8 is a MEME! Fun tip if a bot is opening a chest or trying to get a plant just do a teabag next to them and they will move.

In my experience, the bots hide at the earliest detection of a nearby killer. Absolute dead weight.

I started the event archive challenge to safely unhook 4 survivors. Next game, I had a bot race me to the cage and bodyblock me such that the prompt to unhook the survivor disappeared. I fought for 30 seconds with the bot, to try and receive the unhook prompt, only for the killer to come over and take us both down.

I felt really bad for the survivor that was in the cage watching me, and mildly infuriated that I couldn't make progress towards an archive because the bot refused to back off.

They don't have enough of a clue on what the problem is, so instead they're just ruling out bots as the problem to why they can't last long enough fir any meaningful progression to be made

If you are not seeing them doing anything useful which ik you are since thats quite simply impossible, did you stop to think they are stealthing from a killer? Or they're actively in chase since you don't look at your HUD. Like i keep saying, theres no mmr, you can't expect your teammates to last long enough in chases for bots and other players to do gens. Not that the mmr system works anyway in the main game at least. Im antagonizing you because its simply your own fault. Im speaking from dozens of games with bot teammates, I've literally played mobile where bots are garunteed every single game usually. And trust me they're alot worse there than here on core. Their only purpose is to do objectives and help teammates while you get chased, thats it. You shouldn't be unhappy with their chases either, since chases aren't even suppose to last that long. Looping is an unintended game feature that the devs ended up building the game around, since the thrill of the chase is the most fun part

The point is, doing badly is your own fault. Nurse and blight are insane, theres no excuse why you should be losing, unless your a console blight, then your controls are quite limited. Also, why would they dismiss other players because of nurse and blight? Im not wven sure what you're trying to say, maybe theres a language barrier that idk abt, but that does not sound right.

My recommendation to you is to ignore this user. They’ve been on here for days in several posts basically saying that anyone who claims an experience that they don’t agree with is a liar. They’re claiming they “proved” that what they’re saying is correct while alll they’ve done is state their own opinion but offered no evidence. They’re even calling the devs liars because they were supposed to have patched a bug but it didn’t get patched properly, the. Claimed that the devs are always lying about stuff.

Their entire engagement on here is in bad faith and revolves around “What you’re saying isn’t true and didn’t happen and that’s a fact because I said so and anyone who says it’s happening are liars.”

Either theyre a literal child just here to troll or an adult with zero emotional and social intelligence and possibly just here to troll imo.

I appreciate the advice. Once I realized that there was no real back and forth I stepped away. And I believe I did this in another discussion with a different user and you actually recommended to end that discussion as well and then I did haha

Sometimes I definitely get carried away and caught up in the spirit of discussion which can make me blind to realizing that the person I’m trying to find a common ground with—doesn’t actually want to find common ground. So I appreciate you reeling me back in.

I hate how weirdly passionate I am about this stuff lol.

That’s okay I think we can all relate to that. Protect your peace dude

In my experience, survivor bots are more enthusiastic about gen than North American server players or Chinese PTs whose goal is to torment killers on Asian servers, so the quality of matches is not that significantly affected. Chasing is also a good thing, although there are times when the routes are bad, but I think they are better than the average player because they run around the jungle gyms as if they can see the killers.
