Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

There is something fundamentally wrong with this game

When I see more Blights, Weskers, Nurses, Huntresses and Spirits than any other killer in this game, multiple times in a row FYI, then you know there is a huge problem in Dead by Daylight. You have a killer roster the size of Mount Everest and yet out of 38 killers, only 5 are being used. I rarely see another killer besides the 5 killers which I mentioned here. You know there is an issue with this game when a majority of killer players only pick them.

I'm honestly getting sick and tired of it. Facing the same killers multiple times in a row in a single day is just exhausting and extremely boring, and I'm coming from a hard days work doing construction and back pain tasks. I have nothing against the players, I have against the lack of variety of it. I do blame Behaviour, because I think with all the nerfing of killers e.g. Chucky, with all the bugs in killers power with AI such as Knight, Nemesis and Houndmaster, with clubbing the Skull Merchant, of course I'm not going to see a variety of killers thanks to BHVR's decision making.

Do these devs have any common sense? Have they ever played their own game or do they not see the problem at all? Survivors like me are sick of seeing the same killer on repeat, day in, day out. There needs to be a solution but this is not my job. This is your job. Start taking our complaints seriously for once.

This is why I don’t play as often anymore. The lack of Killer variety kills my motivation to play survivor. Every match feels the same.

Once a new killer gets released, very little resources are spent rebalancing/reworking that killer because most of BHVR’s resources are spent on cranking out new content. Killers that are too powerful when released stay too powerful for years, and the same for killers that are too weak. BHVR just doesn’t prioritize updating old content.

Because BVHR doesn't try to fix fundamental issues for killer. there is 1 thing that in common with all 5 of these killers. that is that all 5 of these killer have

    1. a counter to pre-running or shift-w, aka Breaking pallet →Next pallet is not 100% guaranteed. Another that is included here is health-states are not ultra-busted 20 second time-wastes. they have machine-gun like powers.
    2. All of them in some capacity have ability to play pallet loops

Side note is that these killer are often more fun to play because they have more agency in every element of the game. 80% of the player-base is hard-survivor main. BVHR listens to 80% survivor main killer unfun non-sense.

I don't think that's entirely true or the S-tiers wouldn't still be able to do half the stuff they still can rn. Plus Survivors have lost a lot of stuff too that were our top tier options over time too. I think they tend to target the easy to play easy to get value from killers, over the ones with a skill cap. Hense why Nurse/Huntress/Blight etc go untouched for the most part for so long.

Which btw I feel if we brought those down to everyone elses level, we could look at baseline buffs that make everyones life easier.

The best and most common killers with either be: Ones with high map presence or can end a chase quickly. having both makes a killer even better like blight.

in Blight's case it's because many people like being OP. You might have noticed this by seeing how most Blight players treat every match like a tournament. 3-4 slowdowns, hard tunneling, etc. People like Momo have proven that it's practically impossible to lose as Blight once you reach a certain experience level. It will stay this way until Behavior does something to knock him out of the S-tier. The only way to do this would be an actual nerf to his basekit.

Gee I wonder why you got SM and Chucky absolutely destroyed every time a new killer releases/becomes strong there's calls for them to be nerfed constantly bugs still exist on killers like Knight and Twins but they're boring so you don't want them fixed (unless they benefit said killer of course)

The S-tier or whatever are ACTUALLY AT THE CORRECT level. this is funny part. I hate calling them that because it gives the impression that they are too strong.

Which btw I feel if we brought those down to everyone elses level, we could look at baseline buffs that make everyones life easier.

You will kill the game. The 80% of the killers below them have to go up to THEIR level. The problem is that whenever BVHR physically attempts to make killers strong, Survivors NON-STOP whine that X killer is unfun. The by product is that 80% of survivor player-base makes killer unfun to play.

KILLER PLAYERS WILL NOT PLAY KILLER IN WHICH THEY DEEM UNFUN TO PLAY.

Side-note. The other killer do get played. The thing is, Because their balance is trash and killer player is constantly losing with weaker killers. those other killers are LESS LIKELY to be seen at certain MMR because survivors are on average constantly winning. The killer that are popular & that win are what you will play against as survivor more often.

    →Why is this happening?

The game is being balanced around WORSE survivor players and The BEST KILLER players. The average killer player that play mediocre killer will lose to the worse survivor players because the game favour's highly skilled survivors. If you want to play the mediocre killers and find the same success as with stronger killers, you have to be like the "Waine gretzky" of killer. you have to be TRULY outstanding at the game for killer to make up for the fact that your killer sucks/has major flaws. The fact of the matter is that most people that play killer WILL NOT be "Waine gretzky" of killer. They'll be average killer player that loses to highly skilled survivors. As a result, the killer that are better and require more average results to win will be the more common and the exotic #1 that plays Legion and wins as much as Blight. that is more of rarity.

honestly I think it’s exaggerated now a days on the other hand I remember when it was 2020 and it was basically a revolving door of spirit nurse and hillbilly only played at high ranks lol

Go play Pig where all you can do is walk forward and hope the survivors screw up while eating 900 pallets and then go play someone like Spirit where you can actually do something and then you'll understand why this is such an easy question to ask playing M1 killers again like Pig is so miserable having to walk across the entire map hearing gens pop hitting a survivor only for them to speed away and all you can do is hold w until you finally catch up to them is so ######### boring dude
