Are people blind???
Ok this community really needs to stop happily kicking their feet like nothing is wrong yall I'm telling you it's not as "survivor sided" as you think.. killer was wraith he found someone right off the bat (it was a Kate that info is going to be important) and I got on a gen as soon as he started chasing (like I'm supposed to) he downed her. Hooked her then blew up my gen with scourge hook as I keep working they get her off then he found someone else and blew up my gen again he used 3 scourge hooks on my gen by the time he got his fourth hook I was still working on my gen and Kate which was the fourth hook killed herself cuz she knew it was a lost cause
Skip to the next match it was against wesker and I happened to get in with that same Kate.. she was the first one to the hooked. After she got hooked he started chasing someone else and us both standing were on gens that were almost finished so the other survivor finished theirs after it popped he went to it to chase that survivor and Kate killed herself so I said to myself we're not making it so I killed myself
Skip to the next match it's a huntress who isn't throwing hatchets (I'm trying to get an adept so yay for me) we make it to the end but she quits so it doesn't give me the adept so I try again
The next match this time it's a chucky at first it's going pretty smooth 2 gens down by the time he gets one hook and that one hook happened to chain friends til the end and it went down hill from there
I'm telling yall they are catering to the killer side
Also just had a trapper slug 3 of us at 2 gens and moried me without me being hooked... like did they not realize people would still be toxic to get as many points as they can. adding the EGC mori just encouraged toxicity even more
About the 6th or 8th match got hooked at 4 gens.. went with my rescuer to go heal but killer followed us hit me again hooked me. after i got unhooked I ran off to go do a gen. killer is chasing someone else but that same someone that only been hooked once ran him over to me therefore killer killed me (ik it wasn't my teammates fault but I was still very annoyed)
This is more of a rent then a point and srry about that I just need to get my frustration out as a solo survivor it's getting increasingly hard and sometimes unfair especially when you have people who say tunneling and slugging is fine because it's apart of the game when it's a problem no one has fun in that situation except the killer I can only hope the changes they announced will help at least a little bit

It is as survivor sided as we say. You just don't see it in a mismatch, which this MMR system thrives on. I mean, how do you even go from Wraith slowing gens over and over to a Huntress who doesn't know she has hatchets... within 2 matches of each other? 1 sounds efficient with smart perks, and the other sounds like they don't have a clue. That's not even close to consistent skill level. The entire point of MMR is consistency, putting you with players your own level depending on how much you win/lose.
And another thing highlighted here is the DC culture, even with the killers. If the match is as hopeless as you think, won't the opponent just beat you in the next minute or 2? Why not play it out, get your BP, and maybe you'll even win?
I don't think they're catering to the killer sided. They throw crumbs. I've seen too many posts of people picking up killer for the first time, or a killer they've never played, and instantly get put against impossible odds. Yet others claim that the role takes no brain power, and that you CAN just start playing killer and get endless 4ks. Somebody's lying. I've seen some silliness in my time, like the complaints against Windows supposedly being OP, but I tend to give benefit of the doubt to the killers. They're cynical about every update that comes out that could potentially help the survivors, because the base formula of the game already favors them. They physically don't have enough time.
The killer cannot be in 4 places at once. The instances where they they're pressuring 2 people or even the whole team should be few and far between. There should always be at least 1 survivor on a gen. M1 killers, whether it's Wraith, Doctor, Pig, Clown, Pinhead, Singularity, should be easy for you to beat. You don't have to heal, unless the killer's like really good at chasing to where you need 2 chances, so you can push gens while injured. You should know the check spots at loops like shack, TLs, and long walk jungle gyms which have basically no mindgame for the killer to use. Bring smart perks which speed up your objective, which buy you time/waste the killer's time, and which counter popular strategies. Do all of that, or some of it, and you basically can't lose. I don't know how teams just get overwhelmed by what little the killer can do. Actually, I do know, and it's called mismatches, good killers being put against bad survivors. Experience enough matches like that, and anyone would be convinced killer is OP.

Uhm don't hate me for this, but I feel like it's neither sided and just kinda ######### for both parties

Also you kinda DCed alot and that can all come down to just skill level not to be mean

Kind of agree. Killer is almost always a sweat fest, and so is solo survivor depending on your time of day. But SWF has always been easy, and has never received a single nerf.
Fair.

That's the solo queue experince… what do you expect? a swf black ops squad? With the way pairing is, we can be with someone with less than 200 hrs in the game and don't know the game well; we could likewise have a killer that is experienced or new as well. Solo queue is a mixed bag. Don't expect an out every game and you'll be less inclined to feel some type of way.

So lets look at the 3 scourge hooks you mentioned in the first match. I'm assuming you are talking about pain resonance. Lets talk about it.
Pain resonance reduces the gen with the most progress by 20%. Gens take 90 seconds. So this would knock off 18 seconds on a gen.
Some people don't realize this, but it takes the killer about 15 seconds or so to hook a survivor after they down them:
- 2.7 second wipe animation
- 3 second pickup animation
- ~7-8 seconds to walk to a hook
- 1.5 second hook animation
2.7 + 3 + 7.5 + 1.5 = 14.7 seconds. Lets say around 15 seconds.
So how long were those chases lasting? Is the real question here. Because it sounds like they were lasting maybe 5 seconds? Which at that point, i think your team has bigger problems then knocking 18 seconds off a gen. Also, given the fact that it hit your gen 3 times, that tells me that the rest of your team was not doing gens. I don't know what they were doing, sure 1 was being chased, maybe going for the save and what not. But all 3 of them doing no gens for 3 chases and hooks?

Accurate. A well oiled squad will get a gen that's far from the others (less likely to be patrolled) to 99 to eat all of the PR hits and then get it back to 99. This leaves all of the vital gens 100% unaffected and safe from PR and also gives the killer a false sense of security thinking he has one extra gen left when it's actually one tap away from completion. PR isn't remotely problematic and is easily countered.

The new player expierience in DBD is pretty bad, for both sides i'd say. Kind tough to really say who has it worse.
The other points you bring up are pretty sound and in my opinion correct as well. Trying to change peoples minds is almost as difficult as walking on liquid water though, so most discussions on those other points you made just end in a bunch of gaslighting.-3 -
ohh boy, we're in for a ride.
killer was wraith he found someone right off the bat (it was a Kate that info is going to be important) and I got on a gen as soon as he started chasing (like I'm supposed to) he downed her. Hooked her then blew up my gen with scourge hook as I keep working they get her off then he found someone else and blew up my gen again he used 3 scourge hooks on my gen by the time he got his fourth hook I was still working on my gen and Kate which was the fourth hook killed herself cuz she knew it was a lost cause
you are telling me Wraith managed to get 3 Pain Res pops by the time you were doing 1 gen? Those chases lasted how long, 10s each? Against Wraith, that's truly...idk what to tell you.
Skip to the next match it was against wesker and I happened to get in with that same Kate.. she was the first one to the hooked. After she got hooked he started chasing someone else and us both standing were on gens that were almost finished so the other survivor finished theirs after it popped he went to it to chase that survivor and Kate killed herself so I said to myself we're not making it so I killed myself
so Kate sold the match and you joined her.
The next match this time it's a chucky at first it's going pretty smooth 2 gens down by the time he gets one hook and that one hook happened to chain friends til the end and it went down hill from there
Chucky, a now C-tier killer, manages to snowball yall with no problems using FTTE after 2 gens have been finished with 0 problems?
I'm telling yall they are catering to the killer side
i'm telling you no, that's completely incorrect, the fact that currently all cases proved as fault of your team speaks for it.
Also just had a trapper slug 3 of us at 2 gens and moried me without me being hooked... like did they not realize people would still be toxic to get as many points as they can. adding the EGC mori just encouraged toxicity even more
Trapper manages to do that to you, now you should be seriously concerned about skill level of team you are playing in.
About the 6th or 8th match got hooked at 4 gens.. went with my rescuer to go heal but killer followed us hit me again hooked me. after i got unhooked I ran off to go do a gen. killer is chasing someone else but that same someone that only been hooked once ran him over to me therefore killer killed me (ik it wasn't my teammates fault but I was still very annoyed)
first part is literal mistake in decision making in terms of reset timing. Second one is literally fault of your teammate.
This is more of a rent then a point and srry about that I just need to get my frustration out as a solo survivor it's getting increasingly hard and sometimes unfair especially when you have people who say tunneling and slugging is fine because it's apart of the game when it's a problem no one has fun in that situation except the killer I can only hope the changes they announced will help at least a little bit
problem in general is mindset of soloQ players, people play for everything but to contribute to actual objective. Because of that, many ppl are giving up + adding oil up to the fire when they lose to a camper/tunneler slugger instead of looking back at their oen mistakes and learning from those.

I think it's totally fair that you had a frustrating experience, and you dealt with it by posting to the forums and sharing your feedback. At least you let your voice be heard instead of queuing up and making the game miserable for other people. No complaints here. Solo Queue is an unforgiving experience, but it feels highly rewarding when you are able to synchronize with a team despite it.
While I do respect where you are coming from; as a whole, I do wish less people would express their anger in terms of balance changes. From my perspective, hearing the words "killer-sided" or "survivor-sided" usually translates to "I am upset in this moment" and while that feedback is important—the real root cause of the problem is often buried and lost under a balance discussion. When the developers read the narrative from the forums, they will primarily see the balance discussion — and not the real problem.
The actual, genuine, root problem from this discussion is that you were given a challenge to play the game a certain way with a weak build, but you were not able to get those results because your opponents were playing the game more seriously than you. The current MMR system keeps matching you into games that will challenge you, but you do not want to be challenged. You want to finish the task you assigned yourself and move on with your life. You tried to play more matches than most people play in a single day in search of this goal, but you still weren't able to make things work. That is frustrating. I have been in that position with tomb challenges and I get it.

My last 9 solo queue games were:
1 Chucky, 1 Legion, 2 Blights, 2 Trappers, 1 Plague, 1 Nurse, 1 Trickster
We stayed far apart when (unless we needed to heal or smth) and healthy so the killer couldn't slug effectively. We healed quickly, took hits for one another and the person who came off the hook avoided drawing attention to them.
The results? One game with 0 kills, One game with 2 kills, One game with 4 kills and six games with only 1 kill.
This wasn't baby MMR either. All the killers knew what they were doing. If your entire team plays well you can escape quite frequently.
Like look at your post. Two games were bad due to a Kate giving up. - One game was trapper, a low mobility killer with no range, slugging. Meaning your team either grouped up too much or stupidly stepped into traps while the killer was not nearby. - You said Chucky chained friends til the end, but that's not really how the perk works. It either changes obsession or exposes, not both. You can at best get exposed every second hook with it, meaning healthy people had to constantly go down or y'all didn't heal. It is also only a few seconds of exposed so if you keep your distance he can't get the down with it. - In the last game a teammate with low game sense ran the killer to an dead on hook teammate doing a gen.
What you are describing has nothing to do with the game being killer sided, or slugging as a fundamental problem. Your issue is you get trash teammates. The one 4k from my past 9 games? That was a game where a person insta DCed.
And they can't really solve that. You can't balance things around one teammate just doing nothing of value, without overbuffing a fully organised strong team.
