Shrine of Secrets is outdated. Let's fix that.
The Shrine is one of the features that can be used as an argument that the game is not P2W. And sure, it can give you licensed character's perks, but the odds are small.
It can't keep up with the amount of perks in game.
So, I'd change these things:
1.) Remove all perks that belong to characters that are free for everyone.
2.) Double the amount of perks available in the Shrine to 4 killer and 4 survivor perks.
3.) Increase the bloodpoint reward for purchasing a maxed-out perk to 1 000 000 bloodpoints.
4.) Make it so the price for purchasing Tiers 2 and 3 of a perk you already bought is 1000 BP. (Idea by @UndeddJester )

(1) Hmmm… I'm not really 100% behind point 1, because it implies you need to spend 4500 (or 9000) shards on a new character that you don't necessarily want, that you then have to sink ~1'350'000 - ~4'000'000 bloodpoints into to prestige and unlock their perks in the web.
If you only want one perk from that character its more cost effective to just unlock the perk you want for 2000 shards, and then just level up your chosen main 2 bloodweb levels for like 45'000 BP.(2) I'd prefer instead to boost this to 6 a side, with 3 licensed character perks and 3 original character perks in the rotation.

(4) I mean… I'd be tempted to go a step further and say 2000 → 1000 → 1000. Unlocking the perk is the important part, tier 3ing the perk is a convenience thing once you've mostly got everything you want.

Although, you likely misunderstood me a bit. By "free" characters, I meant the ones that are available to every player from the very beginning (Trapper, Wraith, Nea, Claudette, Dwight etc.).

If bhvr made it so two licensed or paywall perks were in the shrine would be awesome. One killer and one survivor. Ive been waiting for rapid brutality to come backaround. Dont know how long i have to wait for it.

Just make a perk shop, without any rng. You pick a perk, and buy it. New perks may be more expensive for some time and perk tiers may stay more expensive the higher the tier.

I wish they would but if they do then more people would not be buying their dlcs for perks. So nah they will probably never change it in the name of free money and p2win scenarios.

But if they do this, they will no longer be releasing absurdly strong perks to drive sales like they did with mft, so this will benefit all players

Yeah exactly why they will never actually make the shrine viable it is just their excuse that the game is not p2win but it is indeed pay2win. They just have the shrine as an excuse. I am all for letting everyone use all perks but they are all for the money so

I love the first two suggestions in particular, but I'd be happy if we at the very least just got the first suggestion. I'm so tired of seeing basic, free character perks in the Shrine.

Someone suggested before that the Shrine could have all perks available for purchase but you could only buy 1 a week so that you couldn't just buy everything in one go

Or two systems, where shop sells perks for 2k iri shards (or 3-4k for new characters), and shrine is still random but with massive discount ranging from 500 iri to 1500 iri

At the very least they could double the amount of perks in the shrine. Maybe halve the costs

Perks must be more expensive than characters so players are encouraged to buy characters, for auric cells they hope

Just make it 4 killer perks and 4 survivor perks. With 2 rerolls max you can pay with iridescent shards. You can reroll any time you want and any perk (except already bought ones), with no repetitions or chance of already rerolled perks appearing.

Why not just let players buy ANY perk at ANY point? Maybe increase a cost a bit…

Good ideas from all and I think it would help out new players greatly, for me i have all survivor and killer perks so am not able to advise anything when it come to shrine topics and i be forgetting shrine exist cause of said reason e.e
