Reaching for the Banhammer
I spent all morning watching Hens333 on Twitch. He just played three cheater matches in the past hour.
Did all the cheaters just come out of hibernation? I didn't realize it was such a prevalent issue right now.

It's always been way more of a prevalent issue for content creators, since cheaters have scripts to inject themselves into specific lobbies and will prioritise streamers for that.
Personally speaking, I think I've seen cheaters literally twice. Content creators unfortunately get a severely disproportionate amount of them, from what I can gather.

Hackers can join basically any lobby they want (bypassing the MMR system entirely) and tend to target content creators to promote and sell those cheats.
It's the reason SpooknJukes has DBD on all platforms AND the Roblox discount version in case of hackers trying to hold him (and his stream by proxy) hostage forever. This has come in handy several times when hackers tried targeting him but he merely switched platform and continued streaming instead of quitting/DCing.
Side-note: the "Anti-go next" mechanic that has been announced in the "QoL update" could be a horrifying weapon for hackers since they are able to instantly kill Survivors on 1st hook (which might fool the game into thinking they went next and get a penalty).

Yeah, the anti-cheat should be improved significantly.
The free weekends on Epic don't help with the situation either.

5 matches in a row now in 2v8 where the gens melted.
3 of them hadn't a single "mechanic".-3 -
As far as I know the anti cheat is not the only issue, but the 3.0.0 DEV version that was uploaded by mistake instead of the regular/customer 2.7.0.

Yk, i think theres actually alot more subtle cheaters out there then people think. Two days ago I reported some survivors for some suspiciously fast gen speeds, the next day, two people i reported got banned for exploits. And i don't do it cus i think everyones cheating, i do it just in case some is if something looks sus. Weekly i report at least one person for exploits, and almost weekly i get feedback about my report, thats not good.

Hens is a streamer, and thus they are more likely to be streamsniped.
Even still, lately the amount of cheaters has been increasing since cheaters have realized that killing Survivors in the start-of-match transition hits them with a DC Penalty, so people have cheating bots set-up for that now.

I can't understand how some of the cheats can pass the anti-cheat system. The game should be able to detect them.

A while back (WAY BACK) when the 2.7.0 patch was suppose to launch someone mistakenly uploaded the 3.0.0 DEV version in it's place, so even with EAC with the DEV build being made public available cheaters have A TON they can do/create.

So that's how we had killer bots in the first place?

I believe so.

Hackers are always around (most arent obvious about it) but they do generally come in waves. I'm assuming when they find new ways around the patches BHVR put in place last time the wave came through. Content creators are always prime targets for them as they can place themselves in their lobbies unfortunately. Next course of action will be BHVR patching all their new workarounds, doing a mass banning, it'll be a bit quieter then for a time until the next wave. Rinse and repeat.

Oh dang, I knew hackers could do that, but never thought of that possibility. Could be devastating especially with the punishment being losing an entire grade.

I played against a Nurse earlier who killed everyone as we were loading in, strangely it seemed to give me and my son who i was in a two man with a 40 second disconnect penalty even though none of us dc'd.
