Killer proximity to hooked survivors
Often times when a killers hooks someone I'll see them move a little further away, however they are still keeping the hook in their field of view, ready to go back to it as soon as they see a survivor go for the rescue. I don't think this is a huge problem like face camping, I simply think it's preventing the game from reaching it's full potential in terms of how fun and enjoyable it is. Creating ways to encourage or discourage this behavior from the killer is unnecessary, I think a subtle way to make this harder for them would be enough. What if killers could no longer see the aura of the hook once a survivor is hooked, and when they are rescued, the killer wouldn't get the loud noise notification? Instead, the only way a killer could know if a survivor is hooked is by looking at the status icons. I understand this wouldn't have much effect on higher ranked killers because they can easily memorize the map, this proposed solution is just to make the game a little more enjoyable for lower and mid tier players. Lowering the probability of a killer already going back to the hook before the survivor is even rescued could also help with the issue of tunneling.

Your suggestion has the opposite effect. If the killer gets less of a view when he leaves the hook, he will stay in sight of the hook and therefore closer to it should a rescue attempt be made.
Killers already have less information in the UI than Survivors. Tinkering with this will mean that they will have to fulfil their need for information directly through line of sight observation.
