What are your predictions for the balance changes coming with the March ptb in 2 weeks?
Since the devs haven’t put out the live balance changes roadmap for the next two big updates yet, what are your predictions on what will be changed next? The last time this happened was for the anniversary last year but it ended up being a nerf to all the frustrating meta perks (ds, pop, pain res, background player, buckle up, grim). I hope that they continue their recent trend of buffing undertuned/non popular killers/perks. The one perk I really hope they buff is spine chill. It’s been such a garbage perk ever since the visual heartbeat from it became basekit and if you run spine chill you’ll probably get only like 3 seconds of value from it the whole match. What are your prediction’s/hopes on what’s getting tweaked next update?

I hope they buff cruel limits, hangman's trick, and game afoot. They probably won't tbh but would love a distance buff for hangmans trick, time increae cruel limits, and gamefoot getting a buffed time to account the pallet breaking.

those perks could definitely use a buff. Tbh I completely forgot what game afoot does since it’s such an awkward perk. Cruel limits could definitely be buffed to 45 or even 60 seconds since pallets are still usable when cruel limits is active. I hope they go for the perks that are almost never used in matches and gigabuff them to make them shine perks like cut loose, undone, shadowborn, hoarder, collective stealth, red herring, treacherous crows all need a significant buff to have them compete with other strong perks.

I hope they change Knockout to just causing blindness when a survivor gets hit until healed or something like that. Blindness is not easy to apply and keep stuck through perks/add ons. I want a reliable counter to WoO and Third Seal is not it

I hope they buff Saboteur. It’s a joke how it is at the moment. It has a 60 second cooldown and hooks respawn in 30 seconds. Compare that to Breakdown where hooks break for 180 seconds and it’s just not a worthwhile perk to use. Especially with hooks being so close together now. I think the cooldown should be removed but the amount of times you can use it perk hook should be limited .

Doesn't saboteur buff up breakdowns sabo speed aswell, because if it does I think it's fine as it's more of a support perk atp, along with being able to see the hooks closest.

I’d take removal of the increased speed, which is actually longer than some toolbox + add ons, to make the perk overall more beneficial.
I don’t really understand why they buffed the sabo time when in reality the problem is that it’s the cooldown that makes it useless.

agree. They should buff the base sabo speed from saboteur to 2 seconds flat from 2.3 and half the cooldown to 30 seconds from 60. I think that will make the perk feel much better but makes it a risk of the killer always having to deal with a potential sabo on every down they get.

Maybe we'll finally see those balance changes for Pinhead and Plague

I completely forgot that those killers got postponed. I wonder what changes they have in mind for them? For pinhead imo they should add liquified gore basekit, rework original pain, and make it so pinhead can’t break his own chains. I’ve seen people say impaling wire should be basekit but I think that would be too much. For Plauge I could see them toning down her addons (mainly her iridescents) since they are very strong and arguably is what makes her feel very oppressive at times.

Hopefully deactivating Pain Res after a survivor is dead. The amount of times I've seen killers tunnel someone from the start and then have 3 more stacks of the "reward for spreading hooks" perk…

Random sabotage buff! 1-second sabotages so survivors can have more fun and killers will slug more!

They simply won't go for that, and I don't think that change is needed either. Have you tried Mindbreaker, or are you willing to try Huntress or Dredge just for their Blindness add-ons?

i hope they actually buff hooking to help combat slugging instead of nerfing the symptoms i would like to see the following
- When killers hook a survivor a 10% total regression hits all gens and will not count to a regression event
- While a survivor on a hook all survivors suffer a 5.5% action debuff which stacks on the number of survivors that are on the hook so if killer has 2 on hook 11% action debuff to the other 2 survivors
- When killer moves 16 Meters away from the hook they gain a 5% movement speed buff for 10 Secs the bonus is lost and not returned if you return to the hook then leave again.

I’m fine with the last 2 ideas but the first one wouldn’t be good imo. Og pain res was 15% and worked infinitely as long as there was a scourge hook. Giving players half a pain res basekit on EVERY gen would be too much imo especially if it doesn’t have the scourge hook requirement. If they were to add this they would have to nerf pain res for compensation because getting 4 hooks that give -30 regression on the top progress gen along with a -10 on every other gen would make A tier and above killers feel unstoppable in most matches.

Not really predictions but more hopes:
I still hope we will get some QoL changes for Unknown. The last one was more of an unfair nerf. His UVX still feels underwhelming compared to the amount of skill and time you have to spend into it. Then, some of his Addons are still useless (besides the faster recovery one all of his brown ones suck and the two exhaustion addons are a bit too much and unnecessary) or could become basekit (killer Instinct when someone gets rid off their weakenedor the ability to remove your own Hallucinations).
Then, I hope for simple perk buffs: Thrilling Tremors should get a buff by reducing/removing the cooldown. Remove the cooldown of Eruption. Remove the drawback of Aftercare. Something like this.
Lastly, I hope the map offering nerf, the new spawn logic and the go next system come with this chapter.

I disagree that pen res will need to be nerf in compensation with those changes i suggested as the addtional 20% (not 30% as you said in the last comment) that pain res gives will only go to the gen with the most progress and that can only be done on fresh hooks and on a scourage hook on top of that so there alot of requirments to get the strong 20% regression and once the 4 is all used up its a dead perk (still weird that killers perks kill themselves after use) i think these changes will be so much healthier for the game as it incentives killers to spread hooks and are properly rewarded for getting hooks which in turn will deal with the symptoms of tunneling, camping and slugging.
