This cute kitty has been hanging around outside our house. Checking with our neighbor to see if she knows if it has a home, if not the lady from the rescue we got our kitties from said she can trap/check it for chip before they start looking for someone to adopt it.

Guys I think my croissants a bit fluffy

Saw this on twitter and I had to share it with everyone. This is WAYYYY too cute and adorable.

Good news bad news
Good news is all the kitties we had at the adoption place were adopted already.
Bad news is the Petco we used to hold cats at has decided they will be using a different rescue so Tippy's volunteer work at the rescue is coming to an end. Here are Holly and Olive pics to help ease the pain of this news...

Today in "Those cats are spoiled more than most people..."
Christmas went very well for the cats with sales!
I wanted a cat tree in the big bay window and bought the long one first but it didn't work well in front of the window so it was moved into The cat/guest room.
Then I found a more traditional cat tree for the bay window instead! I have flipped it around (so the box opening faces the window rather than faces the room). I wanted a cat tree that I could have there and keep the blinds open at night for them to look outside without letting the entire neighborhood see horrible…horrible things if they looked in my window and saw Tippy.

Thank you to everyone who occasionally updates here! I have this thread bookmarked :)
Also, I just learned that Tanuki is actually a real animal:

We got our kitties a big cat tree too with the sales around Christmas and another smaller one that's window height. New one is like a foot taller than the old one. Moved old one up to husband's office so they can sit in a window up there while he works if they want.
They didn't really use the old tree when playing, new tree they use a bunch while playing. One night while playing Dante was on the floor and Darryl decided to dive bomb him from the top basket of the cat tree. He made such a loud thump. 😂

That bee is a friend!
2 -
I didn't think to film it, but when it had its sip of sugar water, I could have sworn it waved at me.
I know a bee does not possess the ability to know what a wave means, but I also cannot explain the two times it reached out towards nothing, but in my general direction with its front right legs

I think a lot of creatures are likely capable of understanding that they have received help. Bees' brains are obviously a lot smaller and presumably less complex than ours, but they're able to percieve their environment, presumably feel hunger, pain, and likely some type of satisfaction from not being in those states. It's very likely that bees also experience fear, which is what tells their brain to get away from threats. I wouldn't doubt that it understood at some point that you helped it :D

Noticed this woodchuck outside my kitchen window helping us with the weeds that have taken over thanks to all the rain we've been getting. Husband says it's name is Hansel. 😂

Hello young gull
(juvenile gull are exceptionally hard to tell the species of without seeing their parents. In all likelihood it’s a herring gull, tho)
