Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Edgar Allen Poe should be a survivor

He's an icon of horror and there's a ton of crossover in fandoms. Everyone knows who he was, many of us know what he looks like, everyone recognizes his work. His perks could involve delusions caused by his use of intoxicants or mental instability, the darkness inside him somehow giving him an edge in the Fog, a crow could say "nevermore"…, of course perks named after his stories and quotes.

His death was mysterious, of course the Entity got him, the story wrote itself.

It's just free money, devs.

This would be cool but it's unrealistic. Edgar Allen Poe is a public domain. The issue with that is there has been many works derived from that, like disney, etc. If behavior were to accidentally make anything similar to or referencing anything from the disney's/anyone elses stories of him they could potentially sue behavior over it. It's not entirely impossible but there would have to be a lot of work to make it happen.

Also could be wrong on this and if i am please let me know how.

He's not even public domain - that implies he was a copyrighted property which had its copyright expire, like Cthulhu. Edgar Allen Poe is a historical figure, and you can write whatever you want about him. Defamation of character and invasion of privacy apply to real people, but only while they are alive. BHVR can freely make characters based on real (dead) people without needing likeness rights like they do with franchise actors (ex. they got Ellen Ripley's character rights, but not Sigourney Weaver's likeness rights, but DID get Cailee Spaeny's likeness rights for the Ellen Ripley legendary skin, Rain).

Anyway. I'm from Baltimore, I've visited Edgar Allen Poe's house, and I like this idea, OP! Poe could be a legendary skin for Vittorio or a standalone new survivor.
