Crouch Tech is being fixed this year, right?
I get it people crouching my Tentacle Strikes behind certain structures, but look at this crap!

We were already losing and my friend was gonna use me as a wall to get this Feng and then this happens.
She crouched and avoided the hit.

Crouch tech does not affect Nemesis. -> Think of Huntress, Xenomorph, Deathslinger and other ranged killers.
The reason why survivors are able to crouch and avoid your whip attack is because of how Nemesis' hitbox is.
Think of a scenario where you are tier 3, break a pallet, and the survivor crouches to avoid getting hit by it - by design it is there to continue chase and allow counterplay.
Whereas view it from Demogorgon's, Blight's, and Hillbilly's perspective - these killers are charging directly at you, a survivor crouches to make their hitbox smaller, and the killer misses their main attack.
Put any of the other killers in this scenario, they will hit the survivor, but because there's an obstacle or object blocking the path - the survivor has counterplay to avoid being outright downed.
Put simply, avoiding a Nemesis attack isn't crouch tech at all.

Thanks for the time invested into this reply. :)
I'm ok with survs crouching the Tentacle and know it's by design.
What I want to point out is this crap that happened with my Wesker friend on the clip (it's from his YT account BTW).0 -
Yeah, from the clip it's very hard for me to notice what happened! π Sorry, for the response to the initial one. It definitely does look like Feng Min for some odd reason crouched before being hit.
That is super odd to see, as I've obviously never seen it before.
It probably is either a bug or subtle cheats, it's crazy that with two killers there that she managed to get out completely unscathed - no down, no nothing. Was she cross-play?

No worries π
We don't have the entire record anymore because of the PS5 immediately discarding anything that is not recorded and also my friend only exported this clip from his Steam record so we can't say which platform she was on, but I've reported her for Exploits just to be sure.
EDIT: forgot to clarify that we both do not posses the full record anymore.Post edited by Dadeordye on1 -
At least my initial text explains to others about the perceived crouching towards Nemesis, lol.
But upon further investigation, yes - she should not have been able to do what she does as there is no crouching anything towards Wesker, lol.
At least that I am aware of, she 100% should have went down here instead of what occurred.

Yeah, 100% looks like a bug or exploit.
There is 360ing a Wesker, there is Wesker not having enough distance to hit the survivor, and even other types of counters you can do to Wesker.
No reason for her to have invincibility, especially in a 2v8 situation. That is indeed wildly suspicious.
1 -
Too much suspicious.
And about the less than one meter thing = no dash: It's another situation that feels completely stupid that you have to hug the killer to avoid an attack. This should be addressed (and I know it's not a bug).0 -
Are you talking about the FOV tech? Where like the survivor abuses the first person perspective to confuse the killer to avoid being hit?
0 -
Precisely.

Ah, I'm a bit iffy about that one personally!
But I can see your point, at the same time - if a killer is zoning you, the only thing you can do is 360 or even try to run at the killer. I've done that in one of my chases in my compilation where I ran towards the Hillbilly after unhooking my friend and the Hillbilly missed point blank with his basic attack (I'm already injured as Dwight) - mind you, I'm literally just running past him like I'm passing Billy in a hallway of a school, haha.
What I would recommend for you to deal with that is more so focusing on the survivor and hitting them. A 360 is a risky maneuver because they are banking on the fact that you miss, but if you focus on the survivor, you can avoid being 360ed because they can only 360 so much before losing distance if that makes sense. π

This seems more like a 2v8 bug with multiple things happening at the same time than a crouch issue.

Thanks for the tips. π
My Wesker friend is on PC, so the way he deals with 360ΒΊ is always lunge and rotate with the surv. He almost never misses by doing this. I also try doing this, but being on console make this strategy not that much effective.
I understand your point about hugging the killer sometimes being the only way out, but if it comes to this and you have to exploit the killer's bad view I think the killer should be awarded with the hit.0 -
Yes, my friend got the Dualsense Edge controller if you play on PS5, which allows you to control your sensitivity and play more like a PC player.
Obviously that shouldn't be the workaround, but at the same time like I've mentioned it's the only thing you can do as a survivor is to 360 or run at the killer. I didn't have as much of an issue when I was playing, at first I did, but after playing and watching survivors move β if you are patient and time your hit, you can catch them off guard. Not many survivors can routinely pull off multiple 360s over and over unless they're someone like Improbzz, which is a PC player. Not many people have the skill set to continue doing it over and over, at best one or two 360s.
But like I mentioned, you can practice with someone trying to 360 and timing your hits properly. If it was removed, it would just be a removal of skill expression that I feel like is slowly being taken away from the game regardless making a lot of the matches feel a bit "samey".
Edit: on further note, you could wait until they're done 360ing you and just hit them point blank. A survivor cannot continually keep 360ing over and over, at least from what I have seen even from popular streamers who have thousands of hours more than me.

Damn!
How do I set up this magic with the Dualsense?
My issue is the stupid lag that playing on console has.0 -
Do you have the expensive controller? I can ask my friend and tell you her settings.
She does play comp killer and survivor, but she recently got the controller and told me that she can spin much easier - sorta like a PC player lol.
I don't think she really plays Nemmy, I know she plays a bunch of Onryo lol.

I think it's just Wesker's dash being a hot mess. I had Weskers that went through me while running.
1 -
Crap.
I thought it could be done with the regular Dualsense. π₯
Thanks anyway.πDAMN!

Yeah, with the new Dualsense controllers - you can customize your sensitivity, your analog sticks, you can swap between paddles (large and small), it's easier to clean the thumbsticks, etc.
It's just like a super expensive controller, we're talking 100+ lol. I was thinking about buying it my next semester just so I can swap crouch to a backpedal. She says it was worth the investment, so yeah. ππ

Dual Sense Edge or Nacon Revolution 5?
0 -
Dualsense Edge.
Gives you two paddles to choose from, three different analog sticks, lets you customize how far down you push the buttons (as we have adaptive triggers), and custom analog stick sensitivity.
Upon further analysis, you can do both. They say the Nacon Revolution 5 is more durable and doesn't experience stick drift as much from what I can see but I never heard of it until you mentioned it, haha! Makes me think twice on which controller to buy now. π€

I'll see if I can buy one of those two.
Thank you SO MUCH for your time. π1
