Allow us to see killer names/ping in pre-game lobby
Names:
Now I understand the argument as to why we cant see the name. If it is a streamer, we can just go snipe them on twitch and give us a big advantage, at the very least allowing us to see their perks.
However, the killer can do this to the survivors, although not as impactful it can still be problematic as they can hear/see the plan or location of survivors.
I will admit the primary reason I want to see the name is so I can just not play against people I have before who have been notoriously problematic. At least if I am paired with a problematic survivor I can see the name and leave before the match starts.
Yes they can always set their name to "hidden" but most players don't do that, especially the streamers. I have had one streamer I versed about 4 times now that is just awfully unfun and every time i see the name post match i think "oh that's why". I would even accept a DC penalty for dodging a lobby than be paired with them again.
Alternatively I think a player rep system would be good, but that can be just as easily abused by salty people and I do not know how to properly implement that in the game. Another option is to make the "block" button prevent matchmaking with them again.
TLTR: I wanna dodge toxic killers I've played with before.
Ping:
Aint nobody got time for a 300 ping crosshair huntress or survivor thats skipping around the map. Those VPN players can wait, I don't wanna be ruined by their awful connection. Had one killer with 1000 ping. Dude had a VPN connection from the moon. Killers seeing survivor ping would be good too. IDK if they can because when im killer im usually looking at memes until the match starts so I never pay attention. I know we used to be able to see it.
TLTR: Lag sucks

"I will admit the primary reason I want to see the name is so I can just not play against people I have before who have been notoriously problematic." Isn't this the purpose of blacklist?

No, this will not prevent people from being matched with you.
@Topic:
IMO there should be less information, not more information. So the Killer should not see the names and profiles of the Survivors, but the Survivors should also not see the name, picked Killer or profile of the Killer. I can get behind the idea, I also have some players I really dont want to play against, since the game will always be miserable (but to be honest, the worst ones dodge me, since I have a lot of hours, so obviously a sweaty Killer will be less likely to play against me).
But dodging can cause problems with the Matchmaking and personally I am against cherrypicking your games.

I bet we can find now 1000 threads about ping. High ping is a problem BHVR don't want to talk about and make everything possible that this topic dies out quickly because everything is in the hand of BHVR.
There are unused server locations worldwide, there is not even a need to use amazon hardware servers.
There could be a fallback to p2p connections for really remote locations. But BHVR think its the best thing to let player with ping over 300ms destroy the gaming experienceof 4 other people. This is a conscious decision that bhvr has made by setting the ping limit to 2000ms. You cant even have a phone conversation with 2 seconds delay.

Generally speaking, if the reason for wanting a feature is to lobby dodge more frequently, that feature should not be implemented.

The best solution has always been the suggestion is to hide survivor players name and items so the killer does not get an unfaìr oh hey they have 4 flashlights let me bring lightborn, or they hav a mix of items let me bring franklins.
If perks are to be a gamble killers should not see survivor items or name. Sucks am forced to use annon mode to stream whiçh killer mains have the audacity to question why I have to be on it when they lose the match, nah I dont need you brining up my psn or steam to leave your salt on it, same for toxic or worthless teamates. Even identity v hunters do not stream snipe lol

Seeing the ping is a good thing how many times high ping killers get unfair and terrible hitbox hits because their lag is terrible?

Name no, ping yes.
This actually was a feature when I started - if the killer's ping was high, it'd show. And you could decide if you cared. It'd also show your ping, so if yours was high, you could decide if you cared.
It got removed, I'd like it back. Even a simple indicator would be nice, and they could keep it for only truly egregious cases of high ping - 250-300ms would suffice, as I understand there are plenty of regions where 150-200ms is the best they can do with the servers they can connect to. At least then, VPNers are kept leashed to 300ms or have to lagswitch which has greater tells that can help the team ban them, rather than being able to essentially crash their internet and still stay in a game.

I'm in favor of all player identifies being hidden until the post-game lobby after the match has fully ended.

the survivor names are probably to know if you're against a SWF... If you see "pucca's mommy" and "pucca's daddy", you know you're agaisnt a swf at the very least....
of coursez that could be easily fixed if bhvr put any effort on it...
