Wake Up!
It’s been around a month and a half since the 8.5.0 midchapter that brought us the Freddy rework and the perk updates around his dlc. The one in particular I want to discuss is Wake Up!. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen this perk since its side grade. I know at the time the devs were afraid that giving it a flat 50% increase to opening exit gates would’ve made it like a rat perk but even before that change I never saw people use wake up, let alone use it to rat. The point im trying to get to is was it necessary to do the whole 12.5 for each survivor alive change? Why couldn’t we have shipped the flat 50% to live and then corrected it if it became too out of hand? I just don’t understand why this perk got neutered in broad daylight and nobody’s talking about it.

I don't understand why certain perks that have specific conditions to be used or only 1 use have to be weak.
Even if Wake up allowed you to instantly open the gates, it still wouldn't be very useful depending on the situation.

They should've just made it not work for the last survivor and then left it at 50% like it was on the PTB. The nerf they gave it was overkill and unnecessary.

Because the perk encourages caring for other survivors, without these restrictions the perk would encourage sandbag other survivors for your own benefit.

Hot take, not all perks need to be S++ tier and solo win you games, some perks are better off being weak but encouraging healthy gameplay for everyone than being strong but encouraging absolute garbage.

The only good thing about Wake Up is that it reminds me of that australian song Wake Up from the Living End. Its a catchy song
