Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why can't I send messages to other players Console

Sometimes I have something constructive that can help that player learn sometimes I can learn from the criticism of other. I have learned a lot playing this game from the opinions and suggestions of other players. Sometimes I get insulted for playing bad but it's not like the game have a good tutorial to teach you and prepare you for all the numerous status effects you will be exposed to when playing this game. Just how many status effects can a player be affected at a time?

If you played well you shouldn't be scared to receive messages. It's called accountability

It's probably just how the game was built; marvel rivals for example let's you whisper to your friends who are crossplayform

Never said anything about entitlement. Why are you afraid of receiving messages? Shouldn't you should be playing against bots instead since you want to avoid human interactions?

Honestly sometimes I just want to say "don't teabag the killer" he is probably learning the killer. But of course you can't send a message or suggest anything.

Honestly some plays are unnecessary and the best way to fix the community is to talk amongst ourselves instead of waiting for content creators like Otz, brian Ayrun, spookyloopz, henz, mint and others to say it first.

Last time I checked, some of these games where rated matured and you had to be 17 and above to play. If a player is immature and can't handle a message then they should not get the game, jeez this is not Minecraft or fortnite

Is that the only kind of messages you receive? Maybe you are actually playing unfairly then. Sometimes I get to messages but most times I get good messages.so what gives?

I don't think people are "afraid", it's just that most of the time there is no value added by these interactions. At best it's usually a waste of time, at worst it's toxic and aggravating.

And again, it's a personal decision. I have 6K hours, and when I screw up (and like everyone else I do), I don't need anyone to explain my mistakes to me. I am aware.

If someone is newer and they want feedback, that's fine too. But it's undeniable that a large percentage of postgame communications aren't the least bit constructive, and just waste your time and annoy you.

And there are in game interactions that are very human, even without chat. Granted it takes time to be able to read that with the limited tools we have, but there is a massive difference between playing with bots and people, even sans direct communication.

Telling people who get harrassed online that it shouldn't bother them because they're playing a mature game, is so silly. Imagine if your mother played this game, and people started calling her disgusting names. Would you call her a wimp for turning off messaging? Based on how you communicate, I'm like 50/50 on whether you would or not.

The fact you can't understand why a person who chooses to play a horror game, wouldn't be fine with receiving for example, racial abuse or death threats, is very weird. That's not how people behave in the real world.

You try receiving spam party invite cause you beat someone in a game. I'm avoiding all the whining on dbd especially the so call streamers who complained bout stream sniping.

Then let those who don't want to message or receive messages play against other players let that too, and let the rest who want messages play against themselves.

So people actually want interactions in games

It's actually the most annoying thing. If the option to message players is not available, I can't physically message them, right? Right. Sometimes, it will say you can message them, but you actually can't. Like seriously. Why would you let me draft a message to send to a player, if I can't actually send it? I don't know whose fault it is, BHVR's, PlayStation's, both, neither, but it's dog gone infuriating. Anyway, once I realize that's what's happening, I'm just like, "Whatever. Let them continue playing bad in ignorance." Or if I was trying to give someone props in the message, I just hope somehow they'll know they did good.

It's impractical that they'd adjust matchmaking in such a way, but I like the way you think.

This is a game no need to socialize with others. Get Facebook or something for that stuff.

What a weird comment. Some of my closest friendships have begun because of us playing games together. There are uncountable friendships that began in halo, COD, world of war craft, etc.

I find it absolutely fascinating that people care about being able to message someone enough that to suggest creating a whole other queue where chat participation is mandatory. It's actually amazing how disordered this thinking is.

Nothing anyone in this game has to say is important enough that others need to be compelled to hear it.

I wonder if people like this just sit there malding because they can't force another player to hear their feedback in a video game.
