Troubling Overall Killer Rework Design Philosophy

Too early to tell if the proposed changes to Skull Merchant will make her better or worse. At the very least they will make her fundamentally DIFFERENT to play. Their stated goal is to make her power less automatic, and more active. Although I personally bought her BECAUSE I liked that her power was more passive, I don't like killers like Singularity where I have to monitor and fuss with all the little cameras. I'm not sure how to feel about such a drastic change in power direction, but hopefully people end up enjoying it.
The more troubling aspect of the announcement for me was the Survey included with it. I was hoping for a spot where I could voice my opinions and concerns above so the Devs were aware of such concerns. Instead, I found that the bulk of the survey was a segment primarily concerned with how SURVIVORS feel about all of the proposed changes. I think there was a grand total of one question asking how Killers who actually play the killer would feel.
I'm not saying this confirms that Survivor opinion is the biggest determining factor for changes and reworks, BUT IT KINDA FEELS THAT WAY. When the bulk of a survey is about survivor opinions who will be playing against the killer, rather than people who bought and paid for said killer, it troubles me a little. You can say I'm reading too much into it, but we've seen nerfs for killers where the survivor community has strong feelings about them. Most recent examples being Chucky (deserved), and Xeno (highly questionable.)
It's hard to buck the allegations of survivor bias when it feels like their opinions and experiences weigh more heavily than the killers that actually play these characters. I get it that Survivors make up the bulk of the playerbase, and because of that, they're going to be the priority for a number of reasons. I just don't want it to result in an unfun experience for killer players simply because they're in the minority.
I very well could be reading too much into this. On the other hand, I have basic pattern recognition abilities, so maybe I'm not.

Dont you understand, they dont care how YOU feel about the killer, they arent changing the killer for YOU, they are changing the killer for the survivors who gave up on first hook and refused to engage with the game. They care about THEM. THEY outnumber YOU, and THEY buy more cosmetics then YOU.

Shes not fundamentally changing.
There's a single change to drones that's it.
People are making it sound like she is all of the sudden not placing drones, tracking, and denying area.
Yes you are, and always have been.-4 -
The survivor bias has been readily apparent for a long time

I didn't see the survey, but I can understand how it would make sense to ask whether the killer will be fun to play against. From a design POV, the problem they're trying to solve is that the killer wasn't fun to play against, so it kind of makes sense that, before they commit to the changes they're proposing, they want to see whether people agree that the changes will solve that problem.
I 100% agree that the killer should be fun to play against and the killer should be fun to play as. But that might not be what they're trying to verify at this stage in the process.
