Bubba players how do you feel about him

Options

Bubba is the killer I played the most but at this time with lobby’s being so sweaty he is imo unviable. No other killer do I get pointed at, bagged and messaged so much. He is such an easy killer to counter and for this reason the survivors all develop such confidence. Pre running is super effective, exhaustion perks are super effective, every pallet and loop just stops you. When you hit something and tantrum it’s almost guaranteed that you will be pointed at because why wouldn’t they the noises and animation of bubba makes you look so dumb. I don’t care that survivors run WoO because I run it when I played survivor but it is so annoying to knowingly running to yellow to yellow. You have to bring Bamboozle because if you don’t you will never get a single down. Another side note survivors love to do the locker jump thing which I bet is fun to them but for me it’s just eye rolling. Overall bubba is just not a fun time. No other killer in my 2000 hours has me feeling like the joke of the match which is a shame because at one point I did like playing him. How do you guys feel about him rn.

I kind of wish I could play Bubba more since his power is so weird and requires a combination of spatial awareness and mindgame strategy that not many other Killers use. But your points stand: he's mechnically quite difficult and has weak map control that capable or co-ordinated Survivors can exploit. His addon pass was very welcome but it's had a limited effect on his strength. Add in the anti-facecamp changes and Bubba's usual playstyle has suffered a lot.

Paradoxically I think they need to nerf the camping potential of chainsaw Killers more so they can afford to buff Bubba's potential elsewhere: Basement Bubba is still his best (only?) strategy at the moment, and even if a Survivor gets to self-unhook thanks to a perk or the basekit anti-camping mechanic, an assiduous Bubba can still chew through their Endurance and down them again quite quickly. This might be inflating his kill rate and creating an illusion of balance. If, for example, chainsaws took a lot longer to rev up near a hook, they could then look at his other stats with more clarity and think more about modernising the boy.

Yeah I can't see how anyone could ever play this killer without Bamboozle. I tried and it was awful

He is not that weak. Yh not the strongest, but on a decent level.

Bubba is so easy to loop bc most players mindlessly chainsaw every dropped pallet. But he can do a lot more. Its not easy and you could invest that time in a stronger killer, but its there.

    Look up SethGameon for example.

Check on SethKills, he has an almost perfect ability to play the killer. It takes time and spatial knowledge to play loops well and win mindgames because revving the chainsaw brainlessly at every tile doesn't accomplish nothing.

I’ve played Bubba quite a bit and he’s very weak against experienced survivors. No map mobility or chase power and is countered by windows and well-timed pallet stuns. Even when I manage to catch a survivor away from the safety of a pallet or window, the jank hitboxes on many of the map obstacles make me constantly hit thin air and get chainsaw stunned. By the time I recover, survivor is halfway across the map. Really all you can do to apply pressure is hang around hooked survivor and try to down as many as you can after the unhook, which of course is not very fun for the survivors.

On the survivor side, he’s probably my favorite killer to go against because of how easy he is to loop for a long period of time.
