About the reworked Freddy.

What do you think?

Has he become more fun?

Has he become stronger / weaker ?

Having his rework settle for 2 months now, I can confidently say that he was reworked to be way more interactive for both sides. He 100% got stronger and is one of the best pub/noob stompers in the game but once he goes against good and efficient teams, he struggles a lot. I still feel that alarm clocks are a little too oppressive and give too much value for the little input needed from the survivors. The immunity can be abused so much to the point where you can bait a Freddy to chase you while you’re immune and he can’t do anything about it other than being a powerless, basic, 4.6 m1 killer. But he feels so oppressive against uncoordinated teams, being able to effectively be at all places at once really makes unprepared teams struggle under pressure since sometimes they need to finish a important gen or they need to reset but don’t have time to wake up and that’s where Freddy’s tp really shines. His pallets are a glorified zoning tool which isn’t a problem and the snares are a decently good anti loop. Overall I think the rework was 8.5/10 and just needs small adjustments to make it 10/10

I think the rework is perfect. It fixed the problems that the previous version had : no power against awake survivors, weak powers, anyway, basically no effective add-ons. And amplified the stuff people like : Teleport is more effective and usable in chase, dream pallets basekit, feels more like Freddy.

I think he's a lot of fun and currently my main. He plays like a basic killer, but his snares help you get those hits in chase and dream projection quickly gets you to where you need to be. Dream Pallets are his traps, and they are pretty rewarding.

He's definitely a lot stronger. Dream Snares becoming a projectile with a longer hinder allows them to easily make window loops unsafe because they force medium vaults. Against pallets survivors will have to drop them earlier than they normally would. Dream Projection is much faster so it's a good way to start your next chase.

On the average, he's going to pretty strong because his map dependency is low and you don't get punished much for missing your abilities. He also has amazing perk synergy in general. He also has a bit of passive slowdown when survivors wake up. Against the top players though, they will force him to eat pallets, use alarm clock immunity at the best times and will probably be able to anticipate when you teleport. But i think he will still do better than a lot of other killers. His kit is pretty loaded.

Alarm clocks are way too strong for sure. Other than that, hes golden. Perfect.

    the rework is perfect.
the fact that nobody as complained about him or nobody has gone next against him shows he’s fun to play against.

His kill rate may be high but it’s not severe and it’s cause he was the most recent update killer.

It's as good as it could have been without going back to his launch power as a base or adding something completely new.

I don't think it's amazing, but I think without actually, fundamentally changing his power, it was never gonna be, right? BHVR was put in a bind trying to re-rework Freddy, going back to his old power— while a better, more interesting and faithful base to work from— isn't something they can do for the same reason they shouldn't have changed it ground-up the first time [Doing that isolates people who like the power's current design] . But his current framework is just very dull, especially in comparison to his weird, really cool take on a stealth killer from before.

It was a great rework. It made him much stronger and also made his power much more interactive for both survivor and killer. He's actually fun to play and play against now and he isn't a weak killer anymore like he used to be. I think the alarm clocks could use a tweak or two but other than that he's in a great spot overall I'd say.

OG Freddy is not a good base to work from. Because the dream state transition meant that the slowdown penalty would need to make it worth it, and that's a nightmare to balance. Because it's either forever freddy or it's not effective enough and he's the weakest killer in the game. You could also play hit and run with a mini terror radius and the perma aura but that's about it, killers shouldn't be that restrictive in their playstyles. It also has a bunch of other problems, like how old freddy would work with all the slowdown we have nowadays, the problem with sabo survivors that are awake etc. It was immersive but it was super problematic and people wanted him to have a chase power and removing this dream world seperation was the biggest buff you could do for that.

The original power alone certainly wasn't enough, I'm not gonna say that. But as a concept, it's much more compelling, and I think it opens the door for him to have a stronger, cooler active power than he has now, because he wouldn't be able to threaten anyone with it just whenever. It's also worth noting that on launch, his terror radius was 12 instead of 24 meters and his dream transition was actually much shorter— one rather than three seconds. He was just nerfed very heavily and had to fall back entirely on slowdown strats. He did need a rework but I think it should have focused on expanding his playstyle rather than scrapping it. Right now, he's pretty generic, and I wouldn't say he's strong or fun either.

More fun, and stronger. But not as fun and strong enough to compete with basically every other killer

Shame our own @GeneralV does not feel these changes were good. Hello dear friend wherever you may be.

The new rework gets too much glazed, he's still a weak C tier killer. His antiloop is way too restrictive for how much of a joke it is compared to other antiloop powers that don't have such restrictions such as Pyramid Head's M2, Artist's crows, all of Dracula's forms, etc. His antiloop either needs to be buffed or the clocks need to be nerfed.

He’s definitely more powerful than he was right before the rework, but that is only because his map mobility was increased.

In return, he now has two mostly fake chase abilities, to give him the illusion that skill matters, while keeping these chase abilities weak enough that most survivors wont complain about it.

As a top 200 p100 Freddy 2.0 main the rework is boring as hell, nothing interesting about the power remains, and it plays like a flowchart with the least skill expression Freddy has ever had they should've mixed the original Freddy with the snare and teleport from the first rework and buffed it once people get good against this version he will probably be weaker than before (he was easily mid c before no one knew how to play him or how to use snares) there is no reason for immunity to exist against a power this mediocre not to mention they removed his most interesting and impactful addons Paintbrush, Pill bottle, Z block and Class photo this version destroys his unique jack of all trades gameplay rework Freddy had antiloop is worse stealth is basically gone completely, and the only improvement is the teleport this rework was clearly made for the community that couldn't be bothered to learn snare placement than for Freddy 2.0 or 1.0 players enjoy your run of Freddy 3.0 while you can if you enjoy him because with how bad this rework is we will be getting 4.0 in 2030

I've been spamming my tobas/meat plants before the map changes I've gotta say Freddy has been a fun menace. All Shaking Thunder and Jagged Compass are just too much fun on him.

I still prefer Legion but Freddy is a fun palette cleanser

Freddy is a killer at the same level... Tier C-B

There's a small Buff missing for Pig and 1 of Freddy's Perks (Fire Up) she has to start with 1 token... enough memes for that Perk…
