the flashbang change is actually marking the death of survivor
This game used to be so fun so silly so casual what I’d give to have 2016-2022 dbd back again from when the knight came out this game has been on a rapid decline for the fun factor
6.1 marked the end of an era everyone’s favourite bits about dbd were starting to die out before 6.1 dbd was perfect in my opinion 50/50 kill rate both sides were having fun balance was never generally talked about much only a few outliers
The knight chapter came out the first killer that made me want to stop playing the design power and overall fun of this killer is awful and still will forever be awful this also came with the removal of locker saves instead of removing double locker set ups you just removed a skill expressive mechanic
Skull merchant chapter I don’t even need to say anything about this one lol we all know why this is on here
Then came the big changes The death of dead hard the healing nerf the death of circle of healing and then that’s when it clicked to me this game isn’t about casual fun anymore it’s about sweating and rushing gens and trying so hard on both sides…
Now we ask ourselves the game has never been so quote on quote balanced but why is the balanced version hated by the majority of players ?
CAUSE IT ISN’T FUN dbd has lost its identity for most the devs want it to be competitive and serious as possible they want to make sure the survivor role doesn’t have fun they want to make every match a sweaty gen fest this game is just soulless now to be honest

There is also the Killer side, ya know? All the things you listed are still there and are still really strong. Just not broken anymore and need more timing.

Flashbangs are obsolete now. No point in running them at all since you might as well just run a flashlight and trade your bang for a different perk. Crazy. Survivors endure so much nonsense from this company.

Survivors arent the only ones to endure frustrations. Flashbangs are still very much viable.

the only thing with killer is how fast survivors do gens but survivors have to do gens that fast or it’s an instant loss for them since everything else fun or good in chase has been nerfed to the ground removed changed etc killers are valid to frustration but the killer role in todays dbd is dumbed down so much

That's just not true for killer. You have to calculate what each survivor is doing. 4 different people to keep track of. You have to see if its worth chasing certain survivors over others, destroying certain resources and waste time or do I follow up in the chase? (If its worth chasing them)
Killers have terrible bugs to deal with too that make or break chase and ultimately can cost you.

Flashbang had a nasty glitch for a very long time that broke it, creating situations the Killer could not avoid the blind in - like having it spawn the flashbang inside of the Killer's hitbox during pickup, or when they were looking up or against a wall not facing it. This was extremely unfair as it was unavoidable, so the devs fixed it.
You can still flashbang blind Killers, you just have to time it better and it has to be in an actual fair way now. This hasn't killed Survivor, it just fixed a glitch ON Survivor that was causing unfun situations. Kinda like the flashlight locker exploit glitch.

Hook one survivor → leave hook → wait 7 seconds -> return to hook → repeat until giant notification ball → hook same survivor → repeat from step 2.
This formula will win you more games as killer than anything you could do on survivor, with no macro strategy involved.
Killer has been absolutely pandered to for several years now. It's quite sad.

So tunnel. I dont like tunneling. Also if you tunnel the wrong survivor you lose. So this isn't always a valid strat.
