Ghoul Counterplay - Just get good
Honestly feng its just another legion

Yeahhhhhhh there definitely needs to be some sort of verticality check. Plenty of places you can do this nonsense.
39 -
Idk why but since yesterdays event release, it feels like vertically aiming up doesnt prevent kaneki from swinging towards a survivor rather than grabbing them directly. Pretty annoying but is that just me or did he get some shadow nerf/buff?

I had this same interaction happen on midwhich through the open window gaps looking down into the center.
Its honestly just a get good moment. Its just another legion tier killer.10 -
Honestly as silly as this is, this isn't my problem.
Like, okay, the killer gets the freest injuries in the game's history. Fine.
My problem with the "just like Legion" crowd is that they act like the Ghoul struggles to get the second hit.
Like I was on Eyrie just now and dropped the pallet on the balcony with her on the far end of the balcony.
She used power to vault it immediately and then blocked it. Now I can't make it to anything. The entire upper floor of Eyrie is a glorified deadzone against this killer.

More legion tier killer play.
3.5 seconds from the hook to a hit you cant miss 50% of the map away
Honestly survivors just have a skill issue41 -
Just play a strong tile bro. What, you can't teleport yourself to the strongest tiles on the map the moment you hear the Ghoul's terror radius? Sounds like a skill issue to me bro.
39 -
Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying, Hex: Face the Darkness, and Thrill of the Hunt. You can literally be a brand new Ghoul, and it will be an intense and sweaty match.
-1 -
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
11 -
how i counter this?
26 -
Pull out your gun and shoot him, obviously.
25 -
PFFFFFT GET REKT lmfao what is that
11 -
Damn survivor mains, always crying about everything!! can't even counter-play this balanced killer. Sounds like a skill issue to me 🤓☝️
15 -
Spawn and pretty much instantly injured.
30 -
that's the part that should be fixed not Nerfed
-13 -
I dont even think I can do that with nurse that fast even with lethal you dont blink far enough
22 -
Could do that with Blight, though.
Going by the speed, I'm guessing they were just the top of the stairs and had Lethal. That's a very short split, tbh.
-2 -
That's a bug. He's supposed to be stunned for a bit when he latches on to you like that.
1 -
Nah, I am very convinced by now that Ghoul has it way easier to close the distance like this. Let alone that getting that Hit is also way easier.
And it is not only the starting point of the Match with Lethal Pursuer. A Ghoul can proxycamp so far away that you are outside of the Terror Radius and still be back at the Hook immediatly. And I have also seen Survivors getting hooked on the opposite site of the Map and was in a chase 4 seconds after that with him.
Sure, Blight also has insane mobility. But it never felt that oppressive against a Blight, Ghoul is on a whole other level.
19 -
I'm not sure where the Ghoul is on the tier list, but I am disappointed that he turned out like this. The devs created a really fun mobility power, then added the ability to get hits constantly and inflict deep wound as basekit. I don't know why the devs decided to add the most hated part of Legion's kit to a brand new killer, then amplify it.
We now have a killer that is incredibly fun to play due to his mobility, who also does two thngs that survivors hate, getting an injury with no counterplay for the survivor and inflicting deep wound. I don't know if he needs to be weaker overall, but I think he needs to be less obnoxious to go against.
6 -
by the way credits to hens I am not him just posting this hilarious footage as CLEARLY there is a massive survivor skill issue happening. Ghoul is perfectly fine
9 -
Thing is, you can try to spin a blight. This you can't dodge.
16 -
I’ve had a few encounters like this myself. Unfortunately I don’t have any recorded. But it is very entertaining to watch Everyone else’s! Entertaining in a … kind of depressing kind of way lol
7 -
Blight could also down you in one hit or use the power to get a down.
-20 -
"It's intended ☝️🤓"
8 -
Honestly jill, its just a legion tier killer get good.
18 -
Exploit?

I don't understand all the complaining, this is balanced gameplay right here.
I think the devs should ignore all the complaints from survivor players and buff him. They should let him down with his power, and give him a insta down add-onKiller is obviously a low tier killer.
12 -
All jokes aside I think it would really be fun if the devs made a limited event, something short like My Little Oni was, where the killers are extremely overbuffed in every single way. Like ridiculous walking speed, no cool downs, just the most busted base kit stuff imaginable. No perks on either side just massive killer buffs. Intetntionally unbalanced. And then do the same for survivor after that, ridiculous buffs. And then see how people feel about the normal mode. How we could all appreciate how things are a little bit more, because they could be so much worse. And it'd be a great way to practice some "extremeist" changes to see if anyone really tried to defend any of it, or accuse the struggle against it as being low skill. I think it would be eye opening and really entertaining.
7 -
I dunno, we pointed this out during the PTB and it wasn't fixed. If it was a game-breaking bug like it is, I'd imagine they would have fixed it first.
6 -
Well, it's clearly a bug because more times than not he cannot do that when latching onto a survivor he has a cooldown period just like when he is stunned after hitting somebody in his power and he goes through that short pallet stun animation and can attack almost immediately like as if he has the old enduring when it was 75%. Those are clearly bugs and just because something isn't fixed immediately doesn't make them intended. Just like oni flicks and plague not being stunned out her power by any stun those existed for years and then finally fixed. Obviously, since this is a new killer and they see the complaints these are going to be fixed sooner than later. The oni flicks and plague wasn't as detrimental of bugs compared to the new killer so the focus would definitely be to fix the new killer bugs as soon as possible.

Blight can down me in one hit?
9 -
That was my bad, I misremembered the new version of Iri Tag.
0 -
Blight cannot down you in one hit anymore they been reworked that add-on and that was on the last rush token you could down someone in one hit. Most people did not use that add-on. They were more of a fan of the other iri because it hindered survivors when you bump and rushes broke pallets effortlessly.
3 -
Yes. Blight can't Inst down anymore. That got nerfed for a good reason.
You know what blight has to get? Two hits. He also has to respect God pallets like most other killers do.
Just would like to remind of the aspect, that chucky got his scamper removed entirely just because of it being a guaranteed hit at pallets. Ghoul has the exact same thing at a lot of pallets, gets free deep wound THROUGH walls AND has blight - tier mobility.
But yes. He has to get the second hit (partially) without his power. By that I mean he can use his power to block anything you could use and then get the very hard earned m1.
Please excuse the sarcasm, but I'm growing rather tired of people defending the state of this killer.
15 -
I watched someone get back to a 4% unhook that was 80m away then chew through OTR and DS- all of that in under 40 seconds.
9 -
It's not completely the same thing because ghouls is quicker when they released chucky they nerfed his scamper and it was not as quick as the ghoul one. The ghoul's fast vault can only be triggered if the survivor is just standing in front the pallet or window and all the ghoul gotta do is bait you to stand in front of them and get a easy fast vault because of the hit scan icon normally without the icon which can only be triggered on a survivor it wouldn't be as quick unlike what scamper was on ptb being able to scamper over pallets effortlessly without the need for survivors to doing anything. Now, he is kinda like chucky when it came to just using his power and having little cooldown recovery after especially when he leaps right behind a survivor and cancels power it feels just like when chucky had a slight slowdown animation for using his power for distance. He's pretty op when it comes to that.

I broke my retirement to test him out after being told he wasn't good at all and was actually Legion-tier. Lucky that my buddy shares his stuff with me lmao
I made it as hard as possible. I switched to an unfamiliar platform; I haven't played in close to a year AND it's during peak hours/event with no experience on the Killer.
My assessment? Yeah, he's pretty busted. Wasn't impressed by Survivor-quality, but I also didn't try at all.
15 -
I play both sides about equally and normally defend the killer side pretty strongly, but there’s really nothing I can do to defend this busted s***. I don’t even want to play survivor now because it’s nonstop Ghoul getting free hits and teammates giving up immediately.
12 -
Idk man I think survivors are overblowing this blatant legion tier killer.
16 -
But you see, he's not Nurse, so you can't complain about literally anything ever.
20 -
C or D-tier killer at best. Same league as Doctor, Demo, Sadako, and other M1 trash. Definitely a gaming chair issue by survs. Nurse solos Spiderman 1v1.
11 -
Idk what youre talking about man I would put him E honestly. Definitely worse than those killers.
This ace that is 80% of the map away just needs to get good14 -
Shouldn't have got caught, Ace 🤷♂️
8 -
You though being behind a wall helps dwight against this CDE killer?
Path better next time10 -
She could just jump over the palette after the ghoul finished animating. You can literally do the same thing with the legion. Why is it the killer's fault if the survivor played badly?
-10 -
Yea seriously legion can vault pallets and down you in power, 100% definitely a true statement.
I agree with you man. Why cant the survivor just not play badly against something like that. Serious skill issues.
I mean everyone knows this right? That a legion can vault a pallet and down you while in feral frenzy even without it being the 5th hit. I have never seen such a true statement.
Totally agree with you spot on!10 -
Bro turn off your sarcasm for a second and face facts like an adult, the survivor can jump over the palette right after the ghoul jumped into it, but she didn't and got down, if the legion jumped over the palette and the survivor stayed in place, the legion would have also knocked down the survivor, the killer is not to blame for someone not using counter play, it's like not using a box against a pinhead and screaming that he is OP
-19 -
Oh so you're serious about that
Did you watch the clip you are referencing in your response to me?
Because I dont think you did with the whole thing you typed about legion and that jill being able to do anything.14 -
For people who complain that his grab is so generous - try playing him with controller or on handheld. You'll stop using his M2 entirely because dashing, then turning a screen and landing an aim feels almost impossible. Add a fatigue that Ghoul has when canceling ability and you'll have an unbearably painful experience on anything but PC.
It's that case where ''crutch'' is pretty much needed due to how things work in the game. The only adjustment that could be added is better heigh detection. Anything else will render this killer horrible to play on non KBM.
-21 -
On handheld? No no no, you have your hand held PLAYING the ghoul.
In all seriousness, there's no handheld version of this game anymore. I assume you're talking about switch, but you use controllers to play that game. My friend who plays this game exclusively on controller has no problems with the ghoul's power. I think this might be a controller sensitivity issue.
