Exit gate exploit needs to be fixed , survivors should not be able to 99% the exit gate
The exigate needs to lose progress, If the survivor is not holding it, that's literally all very easy fix, can be done in a week, the survivor should not have a third choice , it's either open the gate or don't open at all , no gray area that's an exploit , exit gate need to have regression, This is a survival horror game, not a comedy joke walk through, you don't feel trapped at all, With this exploit, still in the game, survivors are supposed to feel trapped and helpless , not 100% hopeful all the time

I think removing 99ing would be a fun experiment. I feel it would add a bit more mental pressure to the survivor side and spice things up a bit. Might need to do a pass on endgame perks then though.
Calling 99ing an "exploit" is a bit much.

Someone never plays survivor

There's no way bro just said it's an exploit

This is not an exploit.
Anyway, the existence of the EGC makes 99ing gates a necessary mechanic.

Why is it so hard for the Killers to open the Gates themselves but want a forfeit option if getting Genrushed or during End Game when Survivor take too long to leave.

99ing gates literally kills more people than it saves. This would nerf killer.

This is something that we tested some time back internally, it didn't go well. It also removes a lot of gameplay, survivors would just open the gates and leave, it's definitely not an exploit. And many many survivors will point out that they've been killed more to a 99 gate than they have an open one.
And Survivors are always meant to have hope, it's what The Entity feeds off, they're not meant to go into a trial feeling hopeless.

I don't think killer needs any buffs right now, and removing 99ing would be a direct buff to killer assuming nothing else was adjusted, but would it not make for more interesting matches if EGC was a mechanic that people had to actually play around more often rather than just a thing that forces matches to end and occasionally kills altruistic SWFs?

I'm not sure that it would. If there was some form of gate regression or other mechanic that forced/encouraged the EGC to start sooner it very well may just cause survivors to leave more often and not stick around for endgame saves/altruism that they might be willing to attempt without time pressure, which would just make games shorter in some cases. Overall I don't think this would be an improvement.

Maybe. Could try adding some chunky incentives to go for last minute plays though. Big BP bonuses, action speed modifiers, enabling survivors to self-heal during EGC, maybe throw in void portals or replenish some pallet spawns with party (differently themed obviously) pallets. Tons of ideas you can play around with. I dunno, I just like the idea of a more thrilling EGC. Anything to diversify the gameplay experience.
I understand why it's been untouched though.

You know as killer you can just open the gates yourself and start EGC right?
