Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

is Finesse overated?

I don't think it's that good. I see it's quite popular among other Survivors but I just don't see it. And from Killer POV, I don't think it really gave much value to survivors I faced at all, maybe in few very rare scenarios.

It's fun and you get a cool new animation. Do you really need anything more than that?

No. If anything it’s underrated. It literally hard counters all ranged killers at any window tile. Combined with Lithe and it makes a very unsafe pallet into a literal god pallet to use and get away from.

It is quite literally a get out of jail free card with zero counterplay. It’s on a pretty long cooldown and isn’t active when injured so I don’t think it’s too problematic. But it is literally a free zero effort escape. That saves you even after you made huge mistakes.

The only killer who can actually catch it during the Vault is slinger. But since he is 110% its very close, you have to be almost perfect.

Huntress will 100% never catch you at a window ever if you have finness off cooldown. She’s 110% and 77% when holding. Even with Shiny Pin and Flower you’ll still never hit them.

    The cooldown should be increased.

I don't see it that often anymore, but in general it simply erases close hits on windows and palettes every 20 seconds or whatever the cooldown was. Of course you need to be able to be healthy as long as possible, so you need to play good and you need to have a killer that can't injure you easy.

So as a legion, ken, plague and so on you really don't care, on everything else thar can't injure easily you have to see what power you got, with some it's still irellevant and with some it's horrible to play against the faster vaultingspeed.

You're not factoring in Favor The Killer aka the perma-lag advantage granted unless The Killer's ping is 250 or higher, then validation might kick in. In other words, all the Perks in the world can't save you from a lag switching killer.

I’ve been hit a decent chunk of times using finesse at a window, and in all those cases I wouldn’t have had the timing to clear it anyways.

I’ve had it pull “wonders” in very few cases that are really close calls where that fraction matters.

However, Most of the time it wouldn’t have been a hit anyways and you just get that fraction of time. Oddly enough one of those “wonders” was against an aoe bubba not too long ago on eeryie and I was sweating and PRAYING for a miracle, high pitched screaming on the inside. I think I was playing as a Mikayla sable or yui. Anyways when my feet touched I was like

Anything that gives even a slight but niche advantage to survivors is always overrated but its too early for me even make a rather long list of niche things killers qq about so I'll wait in a few hours and post em.

I've definitely had a fair bit of hits avoided or my hits missed just because of the perk so it seems solid.

and killer can't do anything vs a lag switching survivor. They just stand there in place with a running animation, so you have no idea where they "really" are, and damaging their "fake self" doesn't do anything.

I don't think its op but it's a perk that benefits the least fun playstyle to face as killer; pre running.

Its not the rarest thing for me to see triple Finesse. Have fun playing Oni or Nemesis into that

Finesse and Dead Hard are very overrated
