Thoughts on the new chapter teasers
Today, we recieved our first snippet of information about the next survivor chapter - Steady Pulse.
It's scheduled to release on May 6th.
And... It will probably be a lore survivor, just like Haddie. The name Barra is mentioned, but I can't exactly remember off the top of my head what part of the lore that name was in, I think the survivor turned killer story? Idk.
But, I'm intrigued about the new survivor, and glad that teasers are a thing again.
Edited in side note: The music at the end is AWESOME. I love the violin composition.
Edit 2: The Barra mention was likely a dead end, as the woman in the recording seems to be the new survivor and the second recording avoids him completely.
We did get confirmation that she is a nurse of sorts, confirming the name of the chapter.

I read some comments discussing that the new survivor could have been possibly connected to the Doctor, but given the timeline, I doubt it. Still, this seems really interesting...

It seems BHVR rehired the marketing team, this is the first teaser we've had since All Things Wicked I believe (DnD, Castlevania, FNAF have all had pre-release announcements but no teasers, and I don't think Tomb Raider, Doomed Course, or Tokyo Ghoul got even that, just an announcement on the day of release) and I am absolutely thrilled. ATW was the best chapter rollout to date and even though I'll miss the old talent (I'm not entirely sure, but I believe they're still gone, especially the person behind ATW) I'm excited to see what the new blood can do, and if teasers are a mainstay again I will be singing from the rooftops.
I've missed these, I really have.

Yeah, I'm thrilled too.
Half of the success of All Things Wicked was the teasing and the build-up.
Lara Croft and The Houndmasterboth brought very little thrill to the game, since we didn't have any info aside leaks.

Seeing a teaser again evoked a new emotion from me and I genuinely am now already saving iri shards for the new survivor as the name alone for the chapter has me excited

Apparently actress Anglica Ross (American Horror Story) Liked the teaser. Wonder if she is involved in some way? Possibly just a fan of course

I'll have to check it out! I'm only familiar with her on AHS (my favourite season is 1984 and she was awesome in it)

Seeing the name Steady Pulse is giving nurse/doctor vibes and now I'm just having Mikaela release flashbacks and og Circle of Healing. You know they'll pull that op perk bs again for sales since a stand alone og survivor isn't going to have the same weight as a stand alone licensed survivor.

I hope that they learnt from their mistakes.
It seems like they remember the debacle well, considering every boon released after COH aside Exponential is really weak.

I'd hope so, but the only boons to release after Mikaela were 2 full chapters, one of which was licensed, and another licensed half-chapter, so they didn't need the perks to carry as hard. Here's to hoping they learned. The fact that they were licensed only matters because like I said, licenses alone can speak for themselves because people know the ips.

I'm just going to post my crazy theory here:
- Survivor works at a hospital (based on dialogue, and the "font" of the chapter name)
- FNAF is releasing after the Survivor, which will bring lots of new players
- Tunnelling people out is still a massive problem, and if new players get tunnelled out they will quit immediately
- Therefore, new perk that gives you a defibrillator that revives dead Survivors
- It will be either complete trash and never see play or ridiculously overpowered and nerfed to the ground after one week

It is so, so nice to see teasers again! All Things Wicked was so well received for a reason. I love Doomed Course but just dropping the PTB on a random Thursday was not the move. Teasers hype people up for new content, instead of just dropping stuff randomly with no fanfare. I really hope FNAF gets the same treatment and has a good amount of teasers leading up to the Anniversary Broadcast.

I don't think we will get Rita as a survivor since the survivor will be an original one. So, Angelica Ross (a wonderful actor), might just the the voice actor.

I will lay my life down on the line for this new survivor and I have not met them yet. I want to know their pronouns and I am really excited because I trust BHVR to actually write queer characters well instead of making them so aggressively one dimensional.
I expect more “this is who I am, and I am PROUD of it whether you care or not” and less “I’m the best background character in someone else’s life because I am different and special, and this is all I am” that you see a lot these days when the writing gets forced.

idk why but upon further analysis(even though this is supposed to be an original chapter) the voice actor also reminds me of Neicy Nash from grotesquerie. I can’t shake the feeling it sounds just like her.

Oh that would be awesome, but no, the chapter is original. Still here for Miss Ross though 🙌
I can't see them giving us a revival perk. But I do agree she's a doctor or nurse and one or more of her perks likely will be based around healing

I’m fairly certain the person leaving those notes is the one that’s taken, not that guy.
She is talking to someone who is already dead, by electrocution, while the descriptions are of a woman’s disappearance surrounded by black fog.

right exactly. Oh I hope they’re something absolutely devious like. Hold on take my halo, and let me grab my evil survivor horns.
- Completely swap health states with another survivor, can be full or half health.
- Block a pallet from being broken for x amount of time
- Give another survivor upon an unhook a health state to bring them to full recovery while losing one yourself.
- When another survivor gets hit off an unhook within x amount of time take their health state for them if you’re the one that unhooked them.
Is this too evil?Idk 😈 but I dream about having perks like these.
