Lol BHVR removing posts that are truthful.
Maybe stop releasing killers like this and leaving them in this state forever, be a little bit less obvious19 -
It was pretty sad hearing that they didn't want to make his power a skill shot. Why not? How much are we going to dumb this game down? How much are we going to alienate vets? This thought that anyone with a pulse should be competitively viable in PVP games has completely taken over the minds of developers.

Honestly me, just get good and react better next time.
13 -
To play Wesker's advocate, you had a high ping icon pop up at the same time you got grabbed. would like to see what that looked like from the killer's perspective though lol

140 ping is rough. me and 2 friends playing on NA got pulled to an EU server earlier today 🙄

Balance your game already BHVR you already hate survivors enough with giving them no points.
And then for all their efforts they just face this broken killer.
This is the face of your community right now:9 -
The generousity of his hitbox looks more like it is intended for people who play DBD with a steering wheel or a dance pad.

PS4, PS5, XBox Consoles, Switch, Steam Deck and other Portable Consoles. Plenty of variations here, not to mention the screen size.
There's the reason why consoles have aim assist and other things that make gameplay of certain games more manageable. Ghoul is the killer that requires lots of dashing so combining that with aiming might be a little too much in some cases.
-18 -
Just because you can physically pick up an Xbox and move it does not make it portable. By that logic, my PC is portable.
There are many games that do not feature aim assist for console players, and console players do just fine in them.
4 -
Nobody's saying this is fine. Even those of us saying he doesn't need a nerf will agree this is a bug that needs fixing.
-4 -
Doesn't change the fact that some people need aim assist on console and developers provide that. Whenever you like it's existence or refuse to use it is up to you. It can be your own personal preference.
-14 -
Nobody NEEDS aim assist. Aim assist isn't water or food or shelter. I still strongly suggest that you take a look at your joystick sensitivity and practice with it once you find a setting that is comfortable for you. You'll find your need for aim assist goes away very quickly.
9 -
Do you speak for other people? I suggest you don't because that usually is wrong and doesn't end well.
-11 -
Nobody needs the amount of aim assist Ghoul provides.
If they do, I imagine they have bigger issues than playing DBD.
10 -
Good luck finding sympathy for console gamers. You're not going to find it here even if you're absolutely right. They tried to revert the autoaim for The Singularity and luckily for you they didn't succeed.
Once the autoaim is removed it will actually be a buff for mouse players. There are countless times you unintentionally hit a wounded survivor in chase, with strict aiming the mouse players will become even better. What nobody seems to understand is that it's a hitscan attack but The Ghoul has to move in order to perform the bite anyway. You may have been “shot” in a corner but you get the hit once you are already behind a wall. Add some ping to the formula and you have these fake hits.
-11 -
I'm not speaking for anyone else but myself. I'm giving you an objective fact. Wants vs needs is something everyone learns very early in life. I also was merely giving you a suggestion on how to improve your game experience.
-1 -
There is plenty of sympathy for console gamers, even on the forums. The problem arises when console players want the entire game to change for them, despite the massive repercussions those changes would have for everybody else.
3 -
Shouldn't be an issue.
Hitbox definitely needs to be smaller.
Or am I not having sympathy for Console players?

Maybe Ghoul is just the first step toward Dance by Daylight?
Actually, at first I thought The Ghoul wasn't SO bad, but then people got a little more intuition for playing that killer. Ghoul matches sure are… er... "something". People are likely to very much hate this killer if it stays as-is.
3 -
So instead of saying “yes, it should stay for you guys” he simply gets a dozen down votes. I, as a keyboard and mouse player, want it gone because as I stated I think it hurts my performance, but I know there are players out there for whom this help exists.

I mean, people who play DBD with hearing issues need a visual indicator where major sounds come from. When survivors are running, the killer needs an arrow that points in the direction of where footsteps are. Injured survivor sounds? Arrow strsight to their location. Same with when someone works on generators - and arrow points to that gen if you could hear it being worked on. Some people are super busy and have kids pulling them away, so they need an option that pauses the game for everyone so they can deal with real life interruptions. Some people are just not great at video games, so they need an option that will just instantly finish an objective so they can be competitive, too.
Point is, all because some people "need" something doesn't mean it's good for the health of the game. There's a point where assistance can cross a line where it actively hurts the game, and giving killers easy mode autoaim so they don't even need to make any effort is definitely one of them.
4 -
I don't know what you're trying to say here. If people disagree with their comment, they have the ability to disagree by down voting the post.
-1 -
Simple fix. Remove maps and green keys.
This will allow survivors to become good so they can outplay the ghoul more efficiently. Afterwards nerf pig for good measure.2 -
lol the killer moves across the map and it's a skill issue, forget that it's op…."survivor you should have seen it coming"….
4 -
Legion tier killer, just gotta get good. Clearly only needs small nerfs if anything. Definitely nothing major thats for sure.

I am highly appreciative of Fake Banette for making a video where he deliberately never uses Ghoul's power to get injuries and only uses it as map traversal/anti-loop.
He does it in the blood moon mode, which is regarded as survivor-sided due to slowdown perks being so bad in it.
He still wins and makes Ghoul look extremely oppressive.
Can we please stop saying this guy is just an M1 killer after the first hit? It's so disingenuous.

Counterplay to ghoul is to be cool
Like this Sable :D4 -
It's fine, I'm already used to how biased are people on this forum. The addition of downvotes displays that pretty well too.
In ideal game that allows precision aiming for everyone regardless of platform such thing as aim assist would not exist. Sadly DBD isn't such game. There are plenty of people who struggle playing and things like that actually allow them to play and have fun.
However it appears that only people on PC may have fun and everyone else has to get good or stop playing. That's just a sad sight to see here.

Regarding the ''fake'' hits, this is more of the hit mechanic issue, rather than aim assist. The killer power is coded in extremely wonky way, hence why all those ''crazy'' hits do happen. If anything, it should be addressed by devs but I'm not sure how that will be done given that ''similar'' killer, Wesker, still has this issue were hits randomly do or don't register, as well as how pallets can stun him mid-dash or do nothing and act as an obstacle, which he does use to land the hit because survivor gets ''teleported'' in front of it instead of staying behind.
1 -
What worries me is given how good the ghoul is most games as long as you commit to gens 5 gens still get done
-4 -
I hate playing against the Ghoul, but I don't think he needs major changes. To be honest, just tweaking some numbers might make him feel a lot better to face. If he is nerfed too much, he could become extremely weak and clunky to use. I believe the devs should make adjustments as needed without overdoing it (looking at you, Chucky and SM). Many of his issues could be fixed by simply adjusting numbers, such as the cooldown when canceling his power, vaulting, and enraged mode.
Edit- Reducing the size of the auto-aim hitbox would be great as well!

I love doing this. On that map, I'll sometimes carry survivors into that area and start playing with the circus stuff. If the survivors join in, it's a free escape.
