What's the worst challenge you managed to finish?
I mainly want to show off, because I finally managed to finish all challenges, but thought it might be interesting topic anyway.
So for me worst challenges:
Survivor: Take 3 protection hits with Mettle of Man and escape as Ashley
So much pain, I don't even want to know how many attempts I had on it.
Killer: Sacrifice 4 survivors in basement
It's probably easier now with bots, but I did it when DC meant I failed.
Most annoying Tome was either Tome 1, or Tome 10, they have some ridiculous numbers.
There are many annoying survivor challenges, luckily they are often easy in 2v8, where I finished many of them, if possible.

I've done every single one legitimately except that ridiculous one where you had to hit two people with one Corrupt purge spray twice in one trial as Plague. I somehow got some random survivors to let me farm it after we went into farm mode

Dark Sense: Finish repairing 4 generators while using the perk Dark Sense (Tome 1)
Chilling Escape: Escape a trial without being hooked by the Killer while using the perk Spine Chill (Tome 1)
Nightmares… I would rather do the mettle of man challenge again and I'm not keen on wanting to do that one either.

I forget the names but I got bit lucky with no mither only challenge as got good teammates.
Most stupid one so far was hide without getting caught in 5 metres or something for 60 seconds. Might have been easy when the game was dark. Followed someone being chased on another floor. So dumb.

Opening the hatch 2 times with a key (people either don't leave and wait for you in end game collapse, or you have to be the one person that didnt get killed, or slugged while the killer ensures their 4k, and then find out where it is, allow the killer to close it first Then open it before he remembers you brought a key) lol

This wasnt a challenge, rather an achievement. Deranged Pursuit
"But Shroompy! isnt that like one of the easiest in the game?"
Well yes... but back in my day... when the Legion pandemic was upon us... their unique achievement wasnt the easiest to get.
Im sure yall already know OG Legion so I aint gonna explain it. Basically you needed to hit a Survivor in Frenzy, then you needed to hit another Survivor in Frenzy, then you needed to return to the original Survivor you had initially stab and down them. All in a single use of your power.
Few things to note: Frenzy used to only last 6 seconds, Deep Wounds timer was 30 seconds instead of 20, and Legion only took 10 seconds away from the timer on a stab. Meaning you either needed to stab minimum 3 people, and run add ons that could actually help with this.
Stolen Sketchbook used to add an additional 2 seconds to power usage, Stab Wounds Studies would cut the DW timer from 30 seconds to 25 seconds, and the most impactful and strongest add on by far, Franks Mixtape. Which removed 15 seconds instead of 10 off the DW timer upon hitting some one. These add ons made it a bit easier, but it was still very difficult. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, you still needed to do this 25 times.
In the end I did manage to complete it, and I remember checking an achievement tracker website and according to it I was the 9th person to ever unlock that achievement on Steam, and before the achievement was eventually reworked to what it is now there were only about 20 people who completed it.
Ah the good ol' days...

Wasn't there one challenge where you had to finish the last gen as a survivor and then open an exit gate and escape?
Or was that an achievement?0 -
"Escape 1 trial". Solo queue. Was a mess. Never again.

I was going back and finishing these recently but afaik the challenges will be retired soon?
Most of the challenges (keyword most) I found were more so just exhausting with extensive numbers more than anything. Although before Legion buffs / rework I found just in general playing them was a slog. My favorite weird challenge was the "Point at the killer with premonition" challenge
The gain 20 iri emblem challenges were so whack though. Alternatively take 20 protection hits. They're not difficult just so time consuming.

those killer orange glyph things

The worst achievement I had to go through to get was tome 1 land 4 PALLET stuns on the killer in a single match. Took me days to get this eventually got it after changing my user name to "Tome1 4Pallet stuns" against a Myers that just farmed.
The other was Left for Dead(?) managed to get it legitimately against a Spirit on The Game map. With everyone else dead Repair the final gen and escape vai gate. Wasn't until months later I learned it doesn't need to be the 5th and final gen could've been any one gen and wait for killer to close hatch then could open the gate.

Oh gosh I remember that one. Nightmare fuel.

- exactly the same bad experience for me... i finally did the challenge with a farming killer🤣

Oh, I just camped survivor and waited until someone tries to go 1 for 1…
It was before face camp feature tho0 -
Dark Sense sounds easy if you play full SWF, but definetly hell as soloQ.
Chilling escape definetly is painful, but there are ways to cheese it. I think I had 3 friends go on commit suicide to the killer at start of the trial and I looked for hatch after it.0 -
Nicely done and GG! I am a fellow achievment and challenge hunter and have been on the same journey as you. I think the achievment that gave me the highest amount of grey hair was "Aces Journey 2". You got to finish two gens, cleanse to totems and getting two safe unhooks, all during the course of one game. I can't exlain how often I tried and failed that one, because the requirement really asks for a golden opportunity and everything falling in place.
The match starts and you start hunting for totems? The three easy gens get done promptly, leaving your with no real opportunity to finish two of your own.
You finish two gens? The other players suddenly all try to go for the unhooks, leading to so much inefficiency that the team just falls appart.
You got everything done and only need to cleanse one more totem? Sadly one player is dead, one on hook the killer patrols, giving you no opportunity to cleanse.
You cleanse two totems, finish to gens?`Sadly your team just got its a-game and even though one goes down during the EGC, a great flashlight safe prevents anyone from going on the hook. ggez.
Honestly, every match felt like this and those games were I said "you know, I will just play the game and it will get doen naturally eventually", those games I didn't even got close to getting this one done. Ugh. I even remember one match were I got so frustrated, I only needed one more safe unhook and the team had slayed this match, that I bodyblocked the exit gate switch, just to allow the killer to get one more down :D But not with this survivors and their accurate flashlights and I felt so ashamed after this one that I opened the gates and let that golden opportunity go away.

That one took me a long time, too. Wasn't it also a Jane one, so you couldn't just cycle through all your characters but needed the keys on Jane, so eventually I needed to farm blood points just to get another shot. I also noticed how killers would tunnel me or camp hatch when I started the trial with a key, so this led to me doing a rummage and Aces Luck build and hope that I would find a purple or iri key from a random chest, which has a rather high chance of happening with the right luck setup, and then lurk around during EGC and hope that the killer would close the hatch. So it was less of a hassle then "Aces Journey 2" for me, but I could see how this challenge can be really aweful.

I've never been able to get 3 of my friends to play at the same time, at most it was a duo which isn't that much helpful. So although it's true that you can cheese it in a 4 person swf, first you need to coordinate to get 3 others to play with you.

Dark Sense wasn't too bad for me. Luckily got it within a few games one evening against an Executioner on a MacMillans map. Think I took Dark Sense, Deja Vu, Bond and possibly Prove Thyself with a Commodius. The key is you just need to be on a gen when it completes. Obviously you also need several things to go your way, but with the HUD display now, that makes it easier to know what is happening elsewhere.

It's a toss up between a few. The "finish 4 gens yourself" one was something else, but that's an old one. The orange glyph ones are pretty annoying, doing everything slower as killer. There's a couple ones I can't name off the top of my head with ridiculous requirements, like hiding within a few meters of the killer for a certain amount of time, and then escaping.
