Please for the love of god nerf franklins
Franklin's weave has become a permanent staple on killers lately, to the point where nothing is even worth anything anymore.
I'm already sure the killer mains in here will tell me "just don't bring an item then"
but it isn't fair. Distortion gets nerfed to the gd floor, and weave attunement gets BUFFED?
Please, either nerf/remove weave all together or give us our 3 token distortion back

When was it nerfed? I remember them raising it to 12 meters.

I find this combo to be much more enjoyable to go against than the average quad slowdown build.
The Killer sacrifices 2 slots of potential gen slowdown in favour of aura reading. Aura reading which is not entirely on demand and can be countered rather easily:
→ 12 meters around an item, but the aura of the item is visible to you + you know Weave is in play because it shows the debuff icon;
→ Items can be picked up and moved somewhere else, where the perk's value is greatly reduced;
→ This combo relies on people bringing items in the first place, and if they catch on you're down 2 perks for the rest of the match;
→ If you see this combo so often, consider running Object of Obsession. Even if you're not the Killer's obsession, Object still reveals their aura to you every time yours is revealed to them, giving both parties permanent wallhacks on each other.3 -
Two entire perk slots to make you just walk over and place the item in a corner. That’s it.
They absolutely do not need nerfing.

Franklins by itself is fine, but I'm still convinced that weave attunement is too much value for one perk.
It's got the value of at least 4 perks in one:
- You have to drop your item at the start of the match, revealing your position. (Lethal pursuer)
- You have to go drop said item in a corner somewhere, which is mandatory travel time before you can jump on gens (corrupt intervention).
- You lose the immediate use of your item without going to collect it. (Item counter)
- It's wall hacks if any of your teammates don't understand what to do. (This is the actual aura read of the perk)
- For whatever reason, it also makes you oblivious.
And I'm going to point out, that the first two are the value the killer gets for the survivors "successfully countering" this perk. And no, you don't even have to run franklins to get that value, since anyone with a brain cell is going to see Weave and just assume you have franklins (even if you don't run it also).
So you get this entire list for just running weave attunement, even without franklins.

Give survivors a perk that causes the killer's "Black Ward" to fail so they lose their Iri addons, and we can call it even. Deal?

Dropping your item in the corner, which takes maybe 10 seconds to do, effectively deativates 2 of the killers perks.
Would you rather the killer run 4 slowdowns instead?

I love the downvotes here being killer mains that probably use it. I thought of this myself but had no idea how to word myself here without looking like a fool x.x but yes I think weave needs to be reworked to a certain number of items instead of completely covering the map with them.

yes actually I WOULD. Compared to constant wall hacks with no cooldown. Scratch mirror mikey at least has to stalk through a wall at 8 meters, piggy (believe at 12?) slowdown is better compared to smacking items out of survivors hands. we can't stop killers from using their addons permanently, so why should they be able to take our items?

i could have sworn it was 8 meters…I wonder if I'm thinking about a different add-on on either him or another killer.

Perhaps you're thinking of Wraith's add-on, "All Seeing" - Blood, which reveals Survivor's auras within 8 meters of him while cloaked.
As for Myers, the only other related add-on is the Vanity Mirror which lets him see Survivors in a 16 meter radius around him, and that has also been that way since his release.
