Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Too Many Kaneki Nerfs

I think the Kaneki nerfs were a little too much. I'm on board with most of them, like the decrease in the leap attack lockon, but some other things probably weren't necesary. For example, Kaneki has no anti-loop, so his power mainly comes from map traversal. WIth that said, I think the nerf to the leap latchon point distance was a tad too much. It could have felt fine to leave his leap distance at 16 meters and then just nerf the handkercheif add-on like you did. I also think the latch on attack was a little overnerfed. The reason I justify this is because Blight still has the highest map traversal and downing potential in comparison to Kaneki. I believe Kaneki, who should be an S-tier killer not an A-tier killer, should be on par with Blight. Especially when Blight can out run Kaneki and Blight has anti-loop pallet breaking powers.

Instead of decreasing it by 96%, you could have done like 85%. Reason being, Kaneki has a tendency to overleap alot, by the time you turn around to try the attack, survivors are already around a corner, literally any corner, making it harder to get that first attack in. Other than that, the nerfs seem pretty fair.

Kaneki has built up a lot of hype. Let's not ruin him like we did with Chucky and almost Alien. Please, just buff the targeting slightly and give us the leap range back in basekit. Leave the add-ons how they are now.

To be honest his nerfs sounded like more than they are.

I only played 3 or 4 rounds since yesterday I admit that, but I didn't feel to weak honestly:

the autoaim-nerf actually enables me to use my leap near people, and it feels pretty good to hit people like this.

The token after breaking a palette is annoying but not to huge of a deal.

The range is pretty okay most of the time even tho it's noticeable obviously.

The duration of enraged is also pretty okay like this.

The things that are worst for me are the token after breaking, and changing the rarity of coffee and umbrella (as well as the new effect). I don't know what to use except coffee and now I tried the (also nerfed) napkin.

totally agree way to many nerfs i would say the targetting nerfs are fair enough but the range plus losing a token for breaking a pallet are to much

I hate these knee jerk reactions 2 weeks is not long enough to make drastic nerfs for example MFT was left for around 3 months before it nerfs and chucky wasnt nerfed till June and he was realised in November!

These knee jerk reactions are unhealthy for the game as it does not give people time to adjust and learn how to play against the new content and it just showcase the people who winge about do not want to learn that they wanted it to be easy (Harsh but there is truth in that statment)

I would say get rid of the waiting for the token to regenerate after breaking pallets and also get rid of the small cooldown when mis-clicking walls\obstacles. It's extremely annoying when you have to wait 2 secs after misclicking a wall that is unclickable. It's way too punishing and the range decrease makes it worse. His leaps should feel smooth. If they made these two changes, I'd be happy with the other nerfs.

Some other things to note, please reduce Kaneki's scream and how often it happens. It's super annoying. Also, it would be nice if his tentacles were less gigantic visually. In the anime, he has thinner tentacles and looks way cooler.

I feel like this is acceptable and I'm fine with the nerfs if it makes survivors stop whining

I don't like the token one, but that's less because of its effect and more because it's random power trivia. If you pick up and play a Killer, you shouldn't need to go wiki-diving in a couple of months to work out "why is my power on cooldown when I didn't use it"?

Kaneki players playing the most no-skill killer in the entire roster complaining that his nerfs are too much.

You can't make this stuff up.

Do you actually know and/or understand what no-skill means? Because everything in your comments screams that you don't.

Don't let them gaslight you, the Alien belongs here, too.
