Most survivors wont say “gg” unless they escape
I then played one game as killer, immediately typed “gg” as always, and get salt in chat.
https://twitch.tv/videos/277228539 @ 4h 38m
im not blaming anyone. im not naming and shaming him, as hes entitled to his opinion.
the point, is that “most” survivors simply will not say gg unless they think they won. im sure that plenty will come here and claim to be the exception, but i have dozens of hours of footage that shows the opposite. feel free to browse some of my videos for further evidence.

Well duh. The only good games are the ones they win. I'm surprised you didn't know this.1

I can't believe you took the time to come here to cry about survivors who may or may not say "gg" post match. Geez dude you need to harden up just a little.
13 -
Why does it even matter ? Most killers immediately disconnect after a match. Most of the times nobody writes anything. Some people gloat, others throw around insults, who cares.
4 -
The only time I don't GG a killer is if I was tunneled or camped and when I say that I mean it was blatant and with the clear intention of ruining my game and not at all a strategy and as weird as this might sound I rarely GG when I play killer cause if I've killed them I always feel like I'm bragging. It's stupid cause I've earned it but there ye go.

right. thats my point.
if a killer isnt happy with the way it went, they usually just leave before anyone says anything.
but if a survivor isnt happy with the way it went, they usually rage in chat.

Survivors are overpowered AF and they know that.
If you managed to kill them, then they have done something wrong and it wasnt a good game3 -
You expect everyone who died to stay for the rest of the game just to say gg?

Visionmaker said:

again, the point, is that evidence shows that survivors are far more likely to rage in chat if they didnt do well, while killers are more likely to just leave without any drama.
please read that over and over until you get it2 -

I'll say gg either way unless the killer is a hardcore camper which there's been a lot of those especially Billy's, some nurses and even wraiths just sitting there cloaked or using Insidious. As far as salt goes I see it from both sides and quite often the killer never says gg, says ez, you suck etc or just just instant quits the moment game is over if they either didn't get anyone or only sac'd less than 4.
I see far more salt from killers tunneling and camping without ever actually doing anything else but that and then complaining about survivors ruining their fun. They didn't get looped, didn't get pallet dropped non stop etc. They we're upset that the survivors didn't stand in front of the hooks and meekly get sacrificed. This is in the 15-5 range.
For survivors I've seen some get salty when they played badly and were 1st to die, I mean running into dead ends. (We'e all done this) Trying to endlessly loop and get screwed when you outsmart them etc.

I'll just throw it out there, but in my experience, I find that the survivors who don't say gg are the ones that died early and left. They typically don't say anything at all then. So I'm not entirely surprised that people who don't escape don't say it as much.
I dunno. I don't really say it in the first place. I'll say it back if someone else says it, but people throw it around so much that it means nothing anymore. One side can steamroll over the other and people will still say gg. If someone doesn't say it, I don't think of it as a bad thing.
But at the end of the day, ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Salty people be salty. If someone's getting mad because they lost a video game, that's on them.11 -

i find that often, people who were angrily typing up a storm, sometimes see your gg and decide to delete all their salt and also respond with gg to avoid looking like the salty one.
also, i think the UI should show whether someone has left the chat or not after the game. MLGA currently pulls this info from the game, so its not like it wouldnt be easy to add.2 -

From 20-13 or so it's survivors who're the saltiest the most generally, from 13-5ish range it's killers unless the survivors played dumb, got camped, or faced campers like Wraith, Nurse etc and or those using insidious trying to be cute.
Now that's not to say some of the slat from my fellow survivors hasn't been quite salty lately. This is a perfect example where the Wraith who'd been basically camping off and on throughout the match did so once the exit gates were powered. Two people ran to the closest gate to open it right where they knew the Wraith had just been.
He downed 1 person and then never picked them up near said gate and sat there and stealthed and waited. I knew it was a bait so I opened the exit gate on furthest side away from the bait. It was confirmed while opening said gate and the fact NOED had proc'd and exposed was on when 2nd person got downed. I got gate opened and started towards person but saw wraith coming after both victims got hooked so i escaped right before he nsant downed me and took me for 3rd hook.
The lvl 6 called me lvl 9 and teh levl 11 fuckign ######### because we didn't take the bait and get downed and then didn't take the bait and save her and give the wraith 4 sac's. I've had lvl 2's in my lvl 13-16 games rage at me for surviving while they died trying to pallet loop/ds/sb and 360 the killer into oblivion and got outsmarted.
But right now it's mostly killer even really good ones mad because they made mistakes and tunneled 1 person, while others get 4 sacs because they play smart.

I looked through your footage a bit and picked 4 random games where you said gg
- At 4 hours and 9 min. You all escaped and said GG, the killer said nothing and left.
- At 3 hours and 56 min (the game before the last) and you were about to say gg but the killer insta left. You all escaped.
- At 2 hours and 59 min killer got a 4k and you said gg. Killer said gg back.
- At 1 hour and 58 min killer got a 3k, you escaped and said gg. Killer gives a frowny face back.
Basically I'm trying to point out that this isn't a _survivor _ thing. It's a thing everyone does. If people lose they say nothing or get salty, if they win they say gg or even boast about winning.
Most other games I checked, you died early and did not say gg because you didn't want to stick around and wait, which is fine but realize that's a big reason you don't get a lot of gg's back as killer. Because people don't wait, and normally if they do it's because they have a bone to pick with you. A killer doesn't have an opportunity to stick around to ######### talk because they're there the same game so you never see that on killer side because they...well can't.
3 -
1) Most people leave after they die, so they can do another match, they’re aren’t gonna wait another ten minutes for 2 letters. 2) killers do the exact same thing in my experience. People don’t want to say gg when they lose, because most people feel dejected and want to move on with as little attachment as possible.

but yeah, i get the want to leave rather than say gg if its gonna be a big wait. im talking about the games where everyone hits the lobby within a minute or so.

I almost always stick around to say gg again unless the killer is a jerk but then I'll still stick around. I like to spectate both the other survivors to see how they play and what the killer does from their vantage point of being chased. There's always good tips and tricks to learn.

I say GG regardless of the outcome if you loop me to oblivion and you escape GG if you camp me and I die GG honestly as long as I get in a game and waste my offerings and earn some blood points and shards I’m happy I mean who cares about rank right1
-
Most Survivors don't stick around when they die unless they have friends or are really interested in the outcome of the match. You "might" get 1, maybe 2 gg's if you 3/4k. It all depends on how fast they leave the post-game to wash the taste of a death away.
When I die early, I usually just close out, upgrade and move on. I don't hang around. If it's really close to the en of a match though, or I am extremely interested I'll spectate a bit and post a gg. I can honestly say though, that the majority of my matches I'll get at least 1 gg, with the occasional extras depending on how many people hung around to see the match end.

It's true. Kill 'em with kindness and they'll feel bad for being mad in return.
Although these days I'm half convinced some people think "gg" stands for "git gud", or at the very least use it sarcastically, so it's a double edged sword.
2 -
As a survivor it is rarely a good game unless you escape. If you didn't escape, it means that 9 times out of 10 you got tunneled and camped. If the killer didn't do this, you probably wouldn't have died.
1 -
If a survivor didn't escape that means they were mori'd or sacrificed. They should sit around for the rest of the match just so the killer can see their gg at the end instead of getting into the next match for more points, otherwise they're disrespectful to the killer? Lol...
1 -
Sometimes the killer plays well, and you get defeated. There's no shame in that, despite how easy it is for many survivors before upcoming balance issues.

I always say gg. But I know what you mean. Unless the survivors could teabag at the exit gate, they rarely say gg.
They don't like to be outplayed.
Had a match as Leatherface against 2 swf with flashlights. They would blind me when there was even the slightest bit of my fov exposed.
I slowly took them down. They flashlight saved 4 times. I didn't camp or hit them on the hook.
End game chat: gg team, bg killer. Noob killer.2 -
