End Game Killer Surrender is Flawed.
What's to stop a Killer from camping Hatch. Force Survivor to do Generator to reveal location. Can you really expect 1 Survivor to do remaining Generators. You give Killer rights to Surrender when Survivors complete 5 Generators after 10 minutes but nothing for Hatch camping other than to do Generators and lose anyway.

This has little to do with the surrender mechanic, though. Killers could do this before.
Is it scummy? Sure, but again, nothing new.

Think their complaint is about how the killer can camp the hatch and still get everything via surrender or forcing the survivor to out themselves via gen (which is what currently happens yes).
While yes, the survivor is pretty much forced to do a gen or get the killer to surrender (don't know what happens with survivors when the killer surrenders) its not an auto loss as 1. doing the gens that are away from said hatch are workable options and 2. if the killer has a brain they'll close the hatch after that first pop while you squirrel away for the door game.

Before the surrender option I was survivor v blight on Hawkins. They stood on hatch and refused to move and I couldn't get through. So I had to go do 4 gens on my own. That was before the surrender option, so I don't think the flaw has anything to do with killer surrender.

"Surrender" is not a win for the killer, and doing all gens takes way less than the 10-minutes needed for a surrender, so I really don't think the surrender mechanic makes any difference in this scenario.

Then tell me how it is okay Killers can Surrender when the gates aren't opened by Survivor but Survivor can't get anything in Hatch standoffs? At least after 10 minutes automatically power the gates or close the Hatch and begin End Game either way. Surrendering is supposed to prevent Hostage situations but in this scenario there isn't much a Survivor can do.

I have yet to see that happen as a survivor.
I had few survivors do it against me, but I simply went afk and expected them to find a hatch… It was kinda funny, I guess they wanted the achievement for it.

Yeah, I just don't get the "doing the gen reveals your location" mindset in this scenario. The killer's camping the hatch. The moment he moves away, the survivor could potentially slip through and get the hatch. If the killer closes the hatch and then goes for the gen that just got done, there's no guarantee that the survivor isn't gonna be long gone or well hidden nearby, especially since the exits are now powered. Is this a position of power for the killer? Maybe. But shouldn't that be the case when there's 1 survivor left at the very end, and the game needs to come to a close? It feels like people are against killers having advantage no matter WHAT the odds are. "No gens done, sub- 15-second chases, no unhooks. The survivors should still have a chance to escape, riiight?"

Its sadly coming to a point where we're seeing people are wanting a "chance" to move up to a "guarantee" . We're ok with a "chance" of escape even if things went south so horribly it would make a bloody comedy, but its like "things got to this point and you think it should be easy? Why?" kinda deal.

I've seen the surrender option show up when I was just rotating hooks but the Survivors were in a constant loop of rescue → heal. It was definitely… uh, something. I was winning, but the other side was doing so badly that because I wasn't quite done the game asked me if I wanted to quit…

Well, its not called Surrdender, it's called abandon, and from what I understand, it does count as a win for the killer.

I believe surrender option for killer is actually a win for killer as it counts all survivors as dead and can even count towards adept

I'm actually wondering this exact thing. So if they all DC, even if they're only slugged or on the ground (not dead technically), and then I abandon since they're all gone, it still gives me the "4k"? So technically raising my mmr.

Not sure if it works when killer surrenders when all are bots because technically the killer can still lose and I think the game basically plays out but with bots. But I'm fairly sure killer surrender after 10min of no gens being done does count as 4k as killer can't really lose and it's not a bot match.

Well that's basically why I'm wondering if every time this happens I'm dropping my mmr if I don't stay, hook them all, and stand there waiting for them all to die. If I'm the last real person left in the game that should be considered an auto 4k without me having to stand there wasting my time.
