Vigil Stacking needs to be removed, or Vigil needs to be reverted to 30%
A 40% faster baseline removal of EVERY survivor status effect (save for Madness) should not be in the game. It counters every single killer perk that has a status effect on a timer, so every anti-heal perk (outside coulrophobia), counters every killer perk that causes exhaustion, and when stacked, makes an already 24 second exhaustion decrease dramatically further to even faster than 2016 Sprint Burst on a 20 second cooldown. People wanna sweep this under the rug but when you see 2-3 Vigils with Sprint Burst and can't catch anyone without high mobility, it's a problem

I do agree it needs to stop stacking.
Leader, a very rarely run Dwight perk, has a condition that only one instance of it can apply on a survivor. Vigil should be the same.

Keep in mind it also counters exposed perks like Friends Til the End and Starstruck. So it doesn't match up with Friends' timer on the killer side, and also it makes Deli's broken go down way faster, so if you do DS Deli and the killer uses Deli's broken as a timer, they just get screwed cuz Broken goes away in half the time

I know about that.
By itself it's fine imo, but it should not stack. That would solve the problem very well.

I agree, but it's not because they buffed it to 40%, it's because of the stealth buff they did afterwards.
Originally they increased it from 30% to 40% (which was fine imo), but then shortly after quietly changed how the perk worked so that instead of a 40% increased recovery rate from status effects, it decreases the actual duration of the status effect by 40% (equivalent to a 66% increased recovery rate). This second change made the perk overtuned imo, and there was no mention of it in patch notes but the in-game description was changed to reflect this so it likely is intentional.
I would either be ok with removing the stacking or keeping stacking and lowering the number back to 40%, I wouldn't do both changes, just one of those two.

I agree that this shouldn't stack, but I doubt it will be nerfed until certain killers stop zooming from point A to point B in the time it takes me to scratch my backside.
Besides, survivors ideally shouldn’t be clustering close enough to benefit from each other’s Vigil perk in the first place.
I think it’s also worth noting that while some killers are clearly impacted by this combo, others don’t even flinch—that’s the level of power discrepancy that really needs to be addressed.

If anything, would you argue that Leader would need a buff -- no? It's barely used.
@Cassiopeiae , I agree with Cass' point. I don't really see Vigil a whole lot in my games - I have used it before on specific builds but you need to be around survivors to utilize the effect. It's not something where it's map wide and yes, Vigil does counter status effects like a FTTE. However, people typically use it to regain (let's say a Sprint Burst) — you want to avoid clustering together as survivor, so the Vigil status effect to others isn't as detrimental as only players near you gets the value and not everyone runs exhaustion to get the effect.

The problem is you don't need to cluster up. You can just run by somebody, and they get even more vigil for 15 seconds, doesn't even have to be close too, Tier 2 Myers Terror Radius is the furthest you can be, and then run off and do another gen, and the effect is already stacking and making the reduction even faster

These seem to be more situationally and idealized conditions, no?
You don't need to cluster up permanently, but you still need to be in a certain radius for it to activate — which isn't always the best.
When a survivor uses Vigil, they aren't using it to benefit the team as a whole — it's useful for the user itself, unless you're in a coordinated SWF that all use exhaustion perks which isn't the norm. Most people play SoloQ and Vigil doesn't affect others without exhaustion.
It does linger, but only for a little and it's not good for survivors to cluster and group up in general - it's good to be separated and pressure different parts of the map. That's why Vigil is used predominantly for themselves, not for others.

It's not really idealized when it just buffs resets and gen stacking at the end of the match, or if people are pressuring a down with flashlights and everyone has vigil/sprint burst. The amount of times I've seen in my own matches lately be screwed because of Vigil and Sprint Burst stacking is honestly too many. Plus, again, it doesn't just affect exhaustion. It affects: Mangled, Blindness, Hemmorhage, Exposed, Broken, Oblivious, and Hindered. Not only does it counter most killer perks, and some killer powers (Nemesis' Hinder and Clown's Hinder), but it also just counters way more perks than it should by simply existing, narrowing perk diversity even further.
Edit: It ALSO nerfs killer add-ons that apply some of these status effects

It was buffed because it was rarely used
I guess you guys deserve all the gen rushes perks in your lobbies
