My frustration about the latest Ghoul nerfs!!!
Greetings!
I have to vent my frustration and opinion about the latest Ken Kaneki nerf here....
First of all, the fact that he was strong at release, yes this is true. The first nerf was okay....but the last nerf, that was too much!
It just feels horrible to play with him!
You feel like you can never keep up and your power is almost unusable, because you always have your 10 seconds cooldown for every ######### you do. That's really aweful! Even survivors know that he is weak now...almost every match they drop pallets and then walk slowly away because they know you can't catch up fast enough to hit them after breaking the pallets. They mock with you every ######### match. They don't fear this killer anymore...he is a joke to them.
It's just stressful right now. I'm not going to mention gen rush, but it's a fact that the last changes to him were just too much for him. This weren't fair changes either because the people who said he is too strong and needs even more nerfs, are people who hate him because he is an anime killer. I met many of them and they admit it in the chat after the game "we just want him to get destroyed so nobody plays him anymore, he is a ######### killer and always was...too strong? No we just don't want him in this game" and to this kind of people you listend...very sad. So please revert the last changes. This can't stay this way. He feels clunky and too weak now.
Ken is not as strong as a Nurse, he never was! He's not as strong as a Blight, he never was! Even Legion can do more! Why are these killers allowed to do anything? Why can Blight destroy pallets without losing a token and without a big cooldown? And why is Legion allowed to vault over a pallet and immediately catch up without a cooldown, while Ken needs to wait and is slow down after vaulting? What kind of ######### is this? Not to mention that Legion can down with his power when using correct. Why are people not complaining about all this facts? I can tell you...because they are no anime killers! That's the only reason why people want Ken to get even more nerfs! So please just take constructive critique about him and not from the haters.
With the current changes, it would be fair if Ken could down with his power, with this there would be at least one opportunity to feel a bit stronger again. I would be even okay with removing his auto aim completely when you allow him to down with his ability. But please, do something...you can't leave him in this state. This feels like a nightmare!
Two nerfs.....within a MONTH!!!! While other killers are not touched. That's ridiculous.....as I said, the first nerf was okay, but the second was simply unnecessary. Why wasn't this one tested on the last survivor's PTB at the same time! Then this #########, as it is now, maybe wouldn't made it to the live servers.
Please BHVR, i beg of you...give me back my old main i enjoyed to play and end this tragedy!

"Even survivors know that he is weak now" … I stopped reading here.

It's okay, i guess you are one of this survivors who is bullying and mocking this killer now, so i'm not interested in your opinion either. More nerfs and not adapting and improving...this is your motto!

He's been nerfed? He's still instantly teleporting to me after the first hit with his dumb overpowered range tentacle thing and magically downing me mid animation when he jumps over a pallet? He's completely bugged and needs kill switching until hes fixed. Also the auto aim is still way too precise and overpowered how is he hitting me from 3 miles away exactly and freezing my movement? Really not fun and my solo q teams are still being stomped by him literally game ruining level of broken.

I couldn't disagree more with this. I have been playing Kaneki almost non stop ever since the nerfs and he feels actually fair and balanced now, but still strong. It's just that he now actually has some counterplay for survivors.
HIm losing two power tokens after breaking a pallet was the best nerf they could have given him in my opinion because it simply allows survivors to have a fairer chance at getting to some resource that they can use against Kaneki, which is only fair. Survivors should have counterplay against a killer.
His vault ability also needed a nerf and now it feels like it's in the perfect spot. It no longer gives you free hits at pallets and instead positions you to mindgame the pallet against the survivor you are chasing. As long as the pallet loop is mindgameable of course.
I also fail to see how Legion is stronger than him. He still easily has some of the best mobility in the game, and his downing potential is also better than that of Legion.

Kaneki is pretty balanced now actually, I certainly wouldn't say his autoaim is in anyway op now, but there is a bug that lets Kaneki hit a survivor immediately after vaulting a pallet, even though the survivor is multiple meters away from Kaneki. And that has to be fixed asap.

Ghoul is fine, outside of a rather nasty bug with him currently.

Then please record a round where you play as Ken, against survivors who aren't just standing around AFK or giving up, who actually play normally and you still get something out of it besides maybe two or three hooks. Then just show me that it's “fair”, because it's definitely not at the moment.
I've also been playing Ken constant since his release, and as mentioned the first nerf was justified, but the second nerf just doesn't feel good. More waiting time for abilities than you can imagine. So far, every round where a generator comes on one by one, within a few minutes, while you have to fight to keep up with a survivor who is constantly running from palette to palette and knows that if you crush it, he can immediately go to the next one because you can't get after him right away.
The buggy kagune is next. Instead of jumping in the direction you're aiming, you're suddenly somewhere completely different.
My point here is not that he should be “stronger than others”. No, it's about the fact that he was taken down in such a short time and that they will probably always listen to the crying survivor mains who only want to win by pressing the W button. So why is he so nerfed within a month but other, stronger killers aren't even touched after months/years?-6 -
I found it strange, how i was able to even win a game today on a 4 stack vs this guy, we usually lose every single game vs this killer, but no today we won one… and what i found strange was, he bite me like 2x and i wasn't bleeding, is it a glitch or a severe nerf?
i was ready to fall down and out of nowhere… wait i wasn't bleeding???

will most likely get buffed to losing 1 less token tho.

i genuinely have lost all but one game against a ghoul… and thats because someone gave up and we farmed
even against nurse i felt like i had control
so i am happy

Ghoul design is a huge mistake. The killer with such power should have never been available to mediocre players at first. He has no trade off. Remember Moira from Overwatch when she was first released? This is Ghoul now. Zero brainwork, max flex and efficiency

Hes absolutely terrible to play on controller now

I'm with the nerfs may not like it but being that strong with such a low skill floor to play him is never a good thing. Survivors at least now have a window to get to another loop with out him jumping on top of you before you have a chance to get anywhere.
Can't even compare him to Legion. Sure Legion can quick vault over pallets but only while in their power, can't down while in power and then the fatigue that slows them. Ghoul had a very short fatigue if he even had one and could M1 before you can even loop around the pallet.

Yeah I am not going to spend time recording my gameplay, but you can believe me that out of my 30 matches or so with Kaneki not every match had afk survivors, or survivors that would give up immediately. I also went against some pretty good survivors as well, and was still able to do well. It's just that survivors now have a fair fighting chance as well.
If you are just chasing one survivor who is dropping pallet after pallet against you, while you break all of them, you are also clearly doing something wrong with Kaneki.
He was simply balanced properly in this short amount of time, and thank god for that.

Well I for one sure as hell hope not. But I honestly doubt the majority of feedback is negative towards that nerf. Ghoul needed nerfing according to many people before that nerf.
0 -
This is definitely not true. Ghoul is far away from being the most skillful killer in the game but there's still some skill needed for him as well. And with the recent nerfs he received he is now in a much better spot, his broken bugs just need to be fixed now.
-2 -
Other killers get kill switched until their major bugs are fixed so I don't understand why ghoul is getting special treatment??
0 -
Yeah he should be reworked. We need another trap killer like Trapper and Hag perhaps that would be better than this strange guy flying across the map in ultra speed?

but nurse and especially blight aren't getting nerfed? if those 2 can be op i see no reason for kaneki to be too. I wont even touch spirit because that one is far worse than ghoul
1 -
Just because those killers are op doesn't mean Ghoul has to be op as well. Especially since Ghoul is easier to play than those two.
Nurse and Blight simply should be nerfed as well.

Twins didnt get killswitched with the bug recently where you got stuck viewing Victor attached to a survivor and had no choice but to DC
