Toxicity is through the roof
At least in my games and I do hope that no other person has to go through what I just witnessed in the past 21 matches (14 on survivor, 7 on killer).
Half of those matches were unplayable due to someone throwing the match as soon as they saw a pixel of the killer (mostly me on Wesker or another survivor seeing a Kaneki/Blight). That alone would be fine for me if it happens from time to time, since I could just go and play another match, but what really makes this an issue is just how hostile and toxic they get in the after-game chat and how often this is happening right now.
I have seen people try to spell out the n-word, ask others to commit s****** or straight up being heavily homophobic to my teammate (since he openly states that he is gay on his steam profile). Additionally, all of them say the same thing that "BHVR doesn't punish anyone for this" and it makes me wonder if these people even get reported cause I have seen plenty of people get banned for throwing or harassing others.
Again, I would be fine with it if it didn't happen so often or if it was just the chat toxicity, but the fact that it does happen so often, complete with unplayable matches that are being thrown for no reason makes this game near unplayable for me and really do hope that I am the only one who just had a bad streak of some foul players.
Like… I just want to progress my "Escape X trials" milestone :(
EDIT: The next match after I wrote this (a Mikaela that threw the match after the Ace was at the unhook before her) 😭

You can report daily chat messages and they never take action. I only remember being notified of them taking action in a few cases of insistent xenophobia and homophobia, it seems that death threats and calling your whole family is no big deal.

Yeah. I do understand that don't want to punish everything, as some of it could be banter or just rage in the moment after a losing-streak, but when someone just straight up confesses openly to just throwing matches left and right then perhaps something should be done.

Same experience for me. I’ve reported several cases recently of people wishing harm on my family, racial slurs, or other really nasty stuff in chat, but nothing ever happens to the offenders. BHVR does not appear to take this kind of stuff seriously, and that is very concerning.

I still don't get why is the number of trials you have to escape 55.
That's 138 games with the 40% escape rate.

I dunno, it really depends on the day for me.
I do get days where every toxic person seems to crawl out from under whatever rock they came from but I have to say most matches everyone is normal and not at all toxic.
I very rarely see threats like I used to back when I started DBD 6 years ago

Sometimes i just wish BHVR would add an Option to Toggle off the End Game-Chat permanently. Console players are so lucky that they have not EGC.

I cant understand why console players want post-match chat. It's just a cesspit looking at my partner who used to play on PC.
So much of the game feels toxic right now - both in terms of player attitude and the way the game is being designed that facilitates that attitude. It's why I took a break. I'm hoping it's temporary but who knows.
