Looks like Ash has cosmetics
On the Dbd Instagram they posted a video of them at PAX playing kyf and in the screens it looks like they were playing Ash, but with cosmetics. I saw a Hawaiian shirt and one with a chainsaw

Was there any price announced? I'm guessing Ash will cost the same as Leatherface? Cosmetics look groovy and all that but there way overpriced on this game (yes I'm that tight) I hope they don't force us to buy Ash with cosmetics for a higher price. I only want Ash.

Not necessarily. I'm sure the store was planned out long before we customers ever heard about it. As someone who has worked on licenses in the past (pre-Disney Star Wars, Highlander, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, and others), what most likely happened was that the licensors for Myers, Freddy, Leatherface, and SAW simply didn't allow cosmetics. Their characters are iconic a certain way, and that was the only way they wanted them represented. Since licenses are often "as a whole," such a limitation could have easily also included any associated Survivors.
In the case of Ash, as I've stated before in threads today, Raimi and Campbell are usually very easy to work with (as such things go) when it comes to Evil Dead licenses.

You know, it is simply not going to feel right having Ash with the chainsaw and not being able to have him rev it up, tell the killer to "come get some," and then attack the killer.
This is going to feel so wrong. Man blunders his way to victory against Deadites, travels through time more than once, and then is castrated by the Entity and reduced to fixing generators and running for gates. Poor, poor Ashy Slashy. But man would I love to be sitting at the camp fire with him as he complains and tries to figure out what the hell is going on.
It's okay Ash. Just think of Florida.

I'm gonna head cannon this thing.
Ash figured out early on that the Entity, whatever the hell that is, has done something so these killers can't be damaged. They can be slowed down, but fighting them just gets your ass put on a hook. You end up back at the campfire, but being hooked still hurts like hell, so better not to do that.
So he'd going to keep playing whatever twisted little game he's been bungholed into until he can figure out how the hell to get away from this campfire and not have to look at other damned generator again.
Then? Then he's going to let the Entity do whatever it wants with everyone else. He's finally retiring to Florida.

I think one of the reason why Ash has cosmetics is due to the fact that his actor did do a trailer so he was probably involved in the project more so than other licenawd characters (I cant imagine that Jamie lee Curtis did anything to help with Laurie strode in dbd) so he probably want his character to look cool af

Bruce is a huge nerd and loves Ash as much as the fans. Him being involved with anything Evil Dead related is no surprise at all. He just cares :^D

All the other licensed characters bear little to no resemblance to the actors that played them, hence Jamie Lee curtis , danny glover, Jackie earl haley etc. will not need to be involved, or kick up a fuss over their use. Id imagine they take themselves a little seriously to be involved with an indie horror game. Bruce Campbell is a top bloke though, and I'd bet very happy to be involved in such a genre project.

I think his head and torso are combined as 1 piece so there are still only 3 options. Could be wrong tho.

Oh, while on subject of licences, I KNOW Bobby Rhodes has been very happy for his Tony persona to find its way onto licensed products!

It’s not a chainsaw. If you look closely it’s an event firework. Either a teammate dropped it off or there’s a new event coming with the DLC.

I just can't wait for him to come.
I am so glad that we are not waiting for the summer (3 months between dlcs). I am kinda glad that he didn't come with a killer since it would take a lot longer.
I wish they came up with these kind of mini paragraphs every once in a while. Creating survivors should be a lot easier than creating killers.
