Solo Q Survivor rn is miserable while 2v8 is up: Legion in 2v8 + Ghoul in 1V4. Anyone else?
Just wondering where everyone is rn with the state of the game with the addition of 2 really annoying killers in each respective mode.
I really want to enjoy survivor again, but I really personally cannot stand these 2 killers. Let me make it clear I'm not on about 1v4 Legion, specifically 2v8 Legion.
Why does BHVR never comment about it, the opinion is widespread regarding 2v8 legion, and it was talked about lots and lots the previous iteration. Can we please have some acknowledgement??? ESPECIALLY after the baseline Legion buffs.

I don't touch 2v8; it seems few do because mine always offers a 300% bonus. You're right, The Legion is super annoying, but I have other issues with the mode that make it unfun. I would play The Killer, but queue times are insane.

Agreed and I feel more needs looked at on the survivor side in future to make it more enticing to play, it feels really odd they are ignoring the survivor experience to the point its painfully evident, the fog crystals don't even hide auras which is a huge oversight for example.

I agree, and bots are not the solution. 1000% bonus won't do it either.
They could start with the excessive aura reading. It comes up too often, especially at bad times like when a Survivor is getting rescued, and then they are sometimes tunneled. It should protect newly rescued Survivors from aura reading for a short period. I remember that with Lights Out, which I hope returns because I have a new display and I want to experience the darkness with it.

I have actually been enjoying solo queue quite a bit the last days. Had a lot of great matches.
But for me the biggest issue is still tunneling and camping. Matches against killers that use these tactics just aren't very fun at all. And I still had some of those the last days as well.
I haven't gone against Ghoul often enough yet to be annoyed by him however. But so far I don't hate going against him, though I also don't love going against him.

I'm not saying I dont have good matches, it's mainly when these two are involved and it's VERY often on my servers, or I'm just having bad luck at the time of which I play.

Yeah I get that. I wouldn't want to verse Ghoul constantly as well. I guess you are a bit unlucky, but Ghoul is probably still a very popular choice as well.
Personally haven't played 2vs8 yet. And probably won't until the end considering all the negative comments regarding Legion and Oni.

This is the least fun I have ever had playing survivor. Even the three gen meta gave me a higher number of enjoyable matches.

It feels bad on both sides in regular mode. Play survivor, get thrown against the S-tier killers playing like their life depends on it. Play killer, almost every match is toxic SWF squads and TTVs being as abusive as possible. I feel like I'm working a customer service job: constant antagonism for mediocre rewards and no meaningful progression.

Solo Q is always rough. This is a party game. Invite random survivors and make friends.

Basically, BHVR making solo q awful is not impacting their bottom line. So, if you're not having fun just stop playing, solo q or not, it's the only way they'll get the message. Although I have no hope given how the game has been going over the last several years.

Yeah this is it literally, like I'm definately not saying killer doesn't have issues either, it does, the matchmaking is so stinky and it's backfilling/long queues causing that too.

IDK man, I'll take Legion over Ghoul right now. Legion doesn't have any crazy unfair mech, he's just annoying & you gotta accept that you'll be mending a lot.
Ghoul is broken, has unfair mech, can apply deep wound from the other side of a vault/window, vault it (while you're frozen from the stun) and then immediately down you.

Oh, I meant 2v8. I think Legion is annoying and cheap but nothing in comparison to Ghoul.
I think Ghoul is 10x worse. Map mobility, broken/bugged mechs, unbalanced power (that nerf patch did nearly nothing to him).

1v4 soloQ is unfun because you will often have teammates literally griefing instead of actually playing the game.
2v8 as surv is boring because it's too easy and uninteractive

It's really rare someone ever truly griefs, most of the time they just make mistakes and that's okay. The problem is: DBD is an unforgiving game against the strongest killers, and expects an unreasonable amount of knowledge and experience to perform well/counter said killers.
I myself don't care for trying that hard, I play games to have fun, not to win, but I also don't like having all agency taken away from me either. Ghoul does that for me and so does Nurse/Blight (In 1v4). Legion in 2v8 makes any killer they are paired with incredibly annoying to face, they need dealt with, they draw games out, give their partner too much information and make the casual experience hell.
That's my issue rn: 2v8 against the strongest teams is really unforgiving rn, 1v4 against the strongest killers is also really unforgiving.
If we want strong perks/new fun classes/fun events, the strongest killers need dealt with.0 -

i don't mean just griefing like intentionally trolling your team, my point is also about people avoiding gens and just lurking around every chase to play for saves and nothing else and other similar types of gameplay.
I don't request mich of knowledge from people, i just expect them to play the game the way it's meant to be played. If i take a chase and intentionally avoid zones where important gens are to be repaired, they should stick to gens and not just wander around the map looking for totems to boon etc.

Can't really comment on the current 2v8 because I haven't played the game in 2 months. Ghoul completely broke me. No killer should be that easy while being that strong. They've dumbed down the killer role so much. Not very challenging to play anymore, and awful to play against as survivor. I don't know. Maybe I'll come back depending on the end of year improvements.

While the Legion & Oni combo annoys me, there's at least one good thing that came out of 2v8 for the Survivor side;
The new "quest" system is a grindy mess, but 2v8 considerably speeds up the Survivor Milestone challenges as overall escapes are higher (with 3 Hatches spawning at 2 Survivors remaining giving a chance at escape even if the whole team gives up and throws because of Legion) and overall heals & gen repair per game will be much higher as well.
As there's no real point for me to play Killer 2v8 unless one of my friends happen to play at the same time and we duo (I have like 3-4 hours to play during work days if I do nothing else, that's only around 10 games just in queue time alone without adding the time actually playing. As Survivor I can easily quadruple that number since there's a good chance I won't even stay in a trial for it's whole duration and dying still counts as completing a trial) it helps me go through the most grindy challenges which would normally require me to lock in permanently to have a chance to do in time instead of still having some chill fun after work.

Repeating myself but Legion and Oni man… completely ruin 2v8 for me. Legion needs to go and Oni needs to be nerfed if they continue to use him.
I do appreciate not having full slowdown builds in 2v8 and I would love to see a move away from 4 slowdown builds to something more base game. Getting the same gen hit with Pain Res and Surge along with having to wait around for DMS and Grim is a tedious experience it is refreshing not to have in 2v8
But yeah, Legion almost every match is just too much for me

Literally, I can't stand it, it's just snowball gameplay, one mistake and the whole match spirals out of control.
