Nerfing new killers
Just as the title says, can the devs not nerf every killer after just a few weeks. Like I get it's sometimes hard to counter a newly drop killer, but people will figure it out and realize that the killer is not op.
Like I just want to play the character I payed for without it being gutted because people complain about it.

Yeah, that is basically what happened to Freddy when he first released, back in 2017.
A couple years ago I actually took the time to read the complaints about Freddy from back then, and the things you'd read if you do this… that was genuinely one of the worst DBD-related experiences I've ever had and probably one of the worst DBD-related experiences I'll ever have.
So yes, I agree, friend. There needs to be a least a little bit of time so that people can get used to the killer, then you can adjust them if needed.

He'll get some add-on nerfs and maybe some extra slowdown when winding up his axe throw but other than small tweaks like that, Springtrap doesn't seem overtuned or oppressive in any way.

New killers get nerfed, simply because THEY ARE OP, not because people complain about it.. People won't complain for no reason, man. Take a look at Ghoul. If it didn't get nerfed in time, the player base would decrease immediately.
I think that is BHVR's marketing strategy to release OP killers to sell DLCs. After they make enough money, they nerf the new killer back to normal.

Issue isn't that devs nerf killer.
Anyone could see how Kaneki was too strong (to drive up sales) and after they made their money then they release the intended version.
That's why i avoid buying Licensed killers on release, the release version is bait.

That doesn't actually happen that often, is the thing.
Kaneki was nerfed, sure, but if we go down the list of recent releases prior to that…
- Houndmaster was buffed multiple times after release, with a few small nerfs here and there
- Dracula's been changed in only two patches post-release, one of which was exclusively buffs (the first one, in fact) and the second of which was half and half — two buffs, two nerfs
- Vecna's received a few changes to cooldowns mostly, most of which were buffs (not counting the current changes obv), with a few nerfs here and there
- Unknown's barely been changed at all, one change and it was a buff (according to the wiki, I actually don't remember this one)
- Chucky could count as a character that got nerfed after release, though it's important to note that also came with buffs every time. Still, power overall went down, so we'll count him as our second killer this actually applies to
- Xeno got a small nerf after release, then a buff-and-nerf patch
You get the point, I won't keep going back further. Killers being noticeably nerfed on release is not common, and most recent killers have gotten buffs after release. You're not actually in serious danger of the killer you paid for being noticeably nerfed… unless the killer's obviously overtuned like Chucky and Kaneki.
It's just live balance stuff, it's not really targeted or biased or anything.

Also nobody plays on the ptb, ptb are just useless crap devs wasted the time on for. Majority player base cares about the actual live version then test version. So devs aren't really getting good information on ptb, most people play because of killer so of course they said killer need buff since it killer sided. Then they realize it not balanced for survivors.

Houndmaster got buffed and was a-tier
Dracula got nerfed(desserved) and only buffs i remember were to wolf for because they took his hugtech, nerfed bat and helfire several times so they have to buff wolf
Uknow got addons nerf and he is still solid killer (hard to use his power, after sucessful hit you got like 2-3 shots and then you must to infect survivor again)
Chucky got nerfed and buffed and nerferd and again to his current state
Xeno got nerfed hard and then hist last changes looked like buffs and only tail nerf but actualy it was massive nerf, but devs actualy after ptb buffed him and nerfs for tail stayed
Ghoul got only nerfs (needed but the last one is questionable)
Now vecna what looks from ptb will be buffed but still he is just weaker dracula

No they generally get nerfed because a lot of players won't bother learning thw counterplay.

I 100% agree and Behaviour said in the past they wouldn’t touch a new killer or survivor until at least 3 months after.
So people actually learn to play against and as a New Killer/Perks for Survivor.
“Yet Behaviour they went back on this statement,
Even tho it was said on a big live stream too. Because survivor mains whine and won’t learn and want nerfs as well handholding”
Play both sides and you can outsmart any Killer or Survivor.Stop the nerfs and handholding I totally agree.
We are allowed strong Killers & should be able to enjoy what we pay for,
Nerfs/buffs that’s what an PTB is for.
Bring back the horror.

When killers are clearly overperforming, nerfs are necessary. Just accept it.

It was common sense.

If we look at the more recent releases most of them havent gotten nerfed after released, in fact they got buffed. Ghoul however was an anomaly, as he was the first killer in years who was contesting the number one spot (last one being OG Blight with his several techs, J-Flick being the most notable one)
Houndmaster received several buffs from PTB to live, and only recently got nerfed (which barely changed anything)
Dracula received several buffs and received a couple of nerfs weeks after his release which really didnt do much
Vecna had received several buffs from PTB to live as well, and got a few minor nerfs later on.
And all of this is just looking back from the last few killers released, and this has been the case for the LARGE majority of killers. And even those who were directly nerfed from PTB to live or shortly after, really didnt have much of an effect on their overall strength

Minor correction, people are still complaining about the Ghoul because they are still OP.

People are still stuck in 2017 when Freddy was nerfed to the ground after his release and was outright the worst killer in the game for several years before his current rework. Yet that hasn't happened since then as most of the recently released roster have been buffed after PTB, and only caught nerfs because they were deserved. Kaneki was genuinely overtuned and making survivor matches miserable. Weskers hinder infection was genuinly overtuned and allowed for extremely easier tunneling. Dracula was weak in PTB and was buffed to A tier after release, same with Houndmaster who's knotted rope add-on was literally the best add-on in the entire game.
Chucky and Xeno caught nerfs long after release. If anything is nerfed after release or PTB, it's because it was genuinely too strong or extremely unfun to play against and even then Ghoul didn't see any changes for almost a month before he saw any nerfs. The nerfs were light handed too so I have no idea why the nerfed after release mentality is still so prevalent.

Its not just nerfing but if Kaneki was still strong we'd see bro every match and I don't want another wesker situation
