With bubba, I can down 3 survivors in a sweep and by the time I get 1 hooked the whole team can abandoned the game, penalty free due to "slugging"? Devs.. do better

Before you blame the Devs…If you downed 3 survivors by chainsaw and 1 survivor is still up running about, the abandon feature does not activate.

They can only abandon if every survivor is down, in which case the game is over. The feature just allows people to get to their next game quicker.

If 1 is dead and I then down 3 this means no survivor is still alive.

Correct. If there are only 3 survivors total left remaining, then of course they can. However, from my understanding you didn't say that.

The devs have said that the reason that killers can’t abandon when all the gens are done or when the exit gates are opened is “the killer can force the survivors to leave”, which is honestly a really terrible argument. I am willing to concede that killers shouldn’t be able to abandon when the gens are done but endgame collapse hasn’t started because the match is not over at that point. However, once exit gates are open, I think killers should be able to abandon if they choose. In my experience as killer, I have found that a large percentage of the time I don’t try to chase any more survivors after gates are open, one or more survivors are waiting at the gates to t-bag and if I don’t go to the gate, they wait as long as possible to leave just to waste my time.
The rationale the devs gave us for survivors being able to abandon when everyone is slugged is “the game is over and it allows everyone to get to the next match quicker.” It’s the exact same situation when gates are powered, yet we’re getting lame excuses for how these situations are somehow different.3 -
I would be in full support of killers being able to abandon if they were replaced by a bot in the same way that survivors are, so that the match can still continue. Killer bots should be added for a few reasons, and this is certainly one of them. The devs did say they know the abandon mechanic still needs some work, so maybe there is hope for this addition in the future.

If it were up to me, I'd let the killer abandon whenever they want, regardless of how many gens are done or hooks they've gotten. You can't ruin the match for your teammates, so you do you. Why make someone stay in a match they're not enjoying?

PLEASE allow killers to abandon whenever and replace them with bots. That would be awesome. I'd bounce every time I get matched vs cringe compies treating the pubs like it's major league gaming

The devs reasoning is that the killer can continue to progress the game - including opening the gates and chase the survivors out. This abandon feature is really thanks to the players who would slug survivors and then hump their bodies until they bled out. So now the survivors can just opt to move on rather than sit through that.

Honestly, I think the abandon feature is fine as it is. Haven't had any problems with it, no matter which role I was playing.

No thanks. I'd rather keep seeing the match end immediately. Go play the tutorial custom match against Trapper if you want to play against bots. Also, don't bother playing PvP games at all if "compies" frighten you this much.

This would cause so many people to stop playing if killers decide that they don't want to play and close the match down with no warning as you can guarantee some would be doing this just to troll.
An alternative is to let the killer open exit gate at any moment- at least the survivors then have time to leave should they choose

Not if there was no indication that the killer DCed. Why is it a problem if survivors face a bot? is there something more about the human interaction?

The issue is that insta ends the game.
Id say killers should BE able to leave once gates are open and a bot replaces them. But Im not sure that can BE done.
I do think at least if 1 min passed with exit gates Open the killer should BE able to insta leave regardless.
Or if exit gates where Open without killer hooking anyone all match.

Yeah and dont forget Pyramid head. He can instadamage 4 survivor with one attack. Thats completely unfair for survivor.

A) it's a pvp game. So playing against a team that is entirely bots is not DbD. I've said since they announced bots that the game should just end of the other team is all bots. I don't remember if this has been fixed yet, but I consider it a gigantic oversight of the bot system.
B) killer bots don't exist. They would have to code the bot independently for each killer. This isn't like survivor ai, which is independent of new releases, and the bot doesn't care which skin it has. The tutorial trapper is the only thing in the game like this, and it's not ai, it's hard coded to teach a new player the game with a very specific outline of what it should do.

- It shouldnt end. You can already quit immediately (but that should be changed to a win). Otherwise survivor could deny achievements/challenges.
- More killer bots do exist. Every killer in 2vs8 can be replaced with a bot.

Sure, but if the game is already over, and the killer Abandoning gives them a win, shouldn't the survivors be happy? I wouldn't consider a game "ruined" if someone handed me a free win.
I get what you're saying, and I don't want to allow killers to just derank, but in a game where you can't even SEE your rank, I think there's definitely some room for giving killers an out…

I wouldn't care if this game was actually balanced such that playing against tryhards stacking meta on comms wasn't unwinnable for 95% of the killer roster, but alas the game is balanced towards both the survivor that has no idea what they're doing and assuming every killer player is Otz

It doesn't "just" let them get to their next game. It allows them to DC mid game to limit the realism of the game experience. If it is about getting to the next game include a Go Next feature for the killer once any exit gate is opened

Yh its possible, but highly unlikely, so its the same like Bubba. I mean, against Bubba every not braindead survivor could use a pallet/window, that doesnt work against Pyramid.
