Nurse should be able to cancel the charge of her blink with a button.

In all honesty, why this is not a thing yet?

When Nurse is charging her blink - she should be able to cancel it with a press of a button, just like any other killer can do. Especially the newer ones.

The fact that once you pressed M2 and now you just have to blink, lose 1 stack of a blink and suffer the fatigue in order to just cancel your power - is just bad and feels off.

Imagine you're playing Huntress and once you charged your hatchet and now you just have to throw it in order to cancel your power. Or Artist? Or Dredge? Many killers (if not all) can just cancel their power, why Nurse can't?

Even from the part of a common sense - player should be able to cancel a charging power, when they changed their minds about using it.

Edit: For example:

When charging a blink, you can now press the "Ability button 2 (Lctrl)" to cancel the power — but you still lose 1 stack of a blink and put it on cooldown. Similar to Pinhead.

So... You go into fatigue anyway?

Because that is basically just aiming into the floor while blinking.

No fatigue, just cooldown on 1 blink charge. Similar to Pinhead.

There is a big difference between: Facing down (or Up) and blinking vs pressing a button to cancel your power. (Multiple floors\basement issue)

Most killers can just cancel their powers, why Nurse can't?

This is actually a good way to address giving nurse the ability to cancel a blink, to keep things fair she should still go into fatigue when cancelling a blink but not having to actually blink, nurse players will still have the ability to aim at the floor when blinking

Only if it comes with a massive slowdown that's at minimum equal to going into fatigue, and even then I'd probably be against it still

I'm starting to see a hypocrisy in this thread. :D

Ghoul can cancel his power without any fatigue or slowdown. Are you against it? :)

And btw, he's much faster than Nurse with both ability traverse and basic movement speed. Maybe Ghoul should not be able to cancel his power as well? :)

Ghoul is a really bad example, as he needs a longer cancel cooldown. He's way too easy and forgiving for how strong he is.

A better comparison would be blight. Once he starts rushing, he also can't just end it without going through his fatigue animation. That's what punishes greedy/sloppy uses of the power and rewards survivors for successful dodges or smart use of the environment.

Blight is different, you don't charge up his power. It's "point and press\click" ability.

The good examples are: (again) Ghoul, Wesker, Pinhead, even Demo and others. The thing is - they are all much faster than Nurse, they can literally just cancel their powers and hit you right away. She can't, she is slower than survivors.

    1. She is much slower than survivors (already a big handicap)
    2. Charging her power makes her even slower.

When you play against Nurse, you never run towards her when she charges her blink - you run towards her (double back) once she already teleporting. It's pointless to make her go into fatigue once you canceled her power, because she's not going to reach for that survivor anyway, she needs her power to make hits.

What I'm saying in my suggestion: just add a cooldown on 1 blink charge whenever she cancels her power, so she can't cancel her power more than 2 times in a row. No fatigue needed - she is slow as hell anyway, she can't hit survivor without her power.

The reason she's different, its because she can phase through walls. Meaning you can skip an entire loop where there are no windows and pallets.
So having the cancel animation and going on fatigue and losing the stack would literally not change at all as watching down as soon as you want to cancel the blink.
You just need to get used to her power and train it a bit, then you'll realise how unstoppable this killer really is.
And i feel that having her not be able to cancel its power is a good downside that should remain, punishing bad use of powers its what makes killer fun and hard to play.

Then again if you want to play a killer with jumps that is almost unstoppable as her without downsides, play ghoul. Its unfun to play coz its literraly a no brain killer, but at least you will not get punished for spamming your power even when its not necessary.

Oh also she has i think 2 or 3 addons that give her more stacks and make her able to return to her first blink position wich is a great and tricky way to play as nurse. Canceling the animation will make those break or become unfair to survs

Nerfing ghouls cancel wont actually help with the annoying situations, getting an extra second in a deadzone does nothing, while getting an extra second in a loop kills his skill expression
