Legion Sidegrade Idea

Legion might be one of the most controversial killers in the game. He's rather weak against good teams, but survivors tend to hate him because of the amount of mending and/or playing SoloQ. I feel like making changes to fix those, while giving him upgrades in other areas is the best way to go about it.

Making the mend cooldown even shorter would make him more tolerable overall, at the expense of slowdown.

Making his Feral Fatigue noise mapwide, along with adding a global sound cue for entering power would put SoloQ survivors on a better level of awareness, knowing when they can commit to gens safely or not.

Then, to make up for all this, you could reduce his Frenzy Fatigue to somewhere around Kaneki levels so he can more quickly follow up from dropping Feral, but add the counterplay to it that stunning the Legion while in Frenzy/Fatigue extends the duration of the stun. This would make it so that Legion is basically enhanced mindgames at pallets but an easy down when away from pallets.

Also, let him see scratch marks or at least blood trails while in Frenzy! It made sense back when he launched and he was the fastest killer in the game, but with the amount of mobility killers there are, it just feels unnecessary.

Also at least in 2v8, survivors should be able to go longer without mending, I swear people start mending immediately and it gives me an easy chain hit every time. Making it possible to get a decent amount done without mending would help this somewhat.

A big problem with him is that you can´t escape the killer instinct. You have no chance to block it. (at least i don´t know one)

People often forget that normal players aren´t nearly as good at looping as all the Youtubers. Unless i get real good teammates in SoloQ we mostly lose against a half good Legion.

I would personally make it so the intense red effects would also be able to be seen by survivors exposed to killer instinct, teaching new players the following:

If you have "red effects" you are vulnerable

If you don't, you don't need to worry about being hit

When a survivor mends, they will see these effects again, understanding the importance of staying in mending

The only exception would be that on the fourth hit, survivors are shown these effects regardless, to indicate that you can be downed

No need for map wide cooldowns if you can tell when you are vulnerable and when you aren't on your first, match, right?

Legion is decent killer, he's still slept on. If you play one game of him one year back and now, you'd see how much he improved. I enjoy him. Surely he's not Kaneki/Bligh/Nurse level… but he has so many ways to be played plus build in slowdown and info.
